I totally agree with this. I know some projects that required its participant to comply on KYC policy and I think its very inappropriate because their job is to promote only. You don't necessarily need to be technical when explaining cryptos to people. You can just discuss it simply. I am not a technical person as well because I haven't mastered analyzing graphs entirely just yet but I do understand crypto. People would understand crypto as an investment and I usually use gold or stocks as an example, only that in the crypto market, crypto currencies are people's asset and investments. They usually get it upon comparing it so no more further explaining to do unless they want to go deeper.
