101  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Indigenous education is as important as Western education. on: July 30, 2023, 04:43:37 PM
I leave in a society where our culture and indigenous education are fading away. Parents prefer to expose their children to Western cultures and neglect indigenous cultures. No doubt Western education and culture have led to technological, social, and economic advancement in my country, but we fail to understand that traditional education shouldn't be neglected.

The news of how four Colombian  Indigenous children survived the Amazon jungle for 40 days is a clear example of the importance of indigenous education. Their plane crash into the jungle killing their mother and other adults. The eldest was thirteen and the youngest was just eleven months. According to the report, the children were able to survive because of their indigenous education. They have learned through traditional education from their community how to survive on fruits, seeds, and rainwater. The oldest was able to take care of her siblings, build shelter and protect them from wild animals using local methods.

Today most children from my tribe can't even speak the local dialect because they think that speaking fluent English is education while speaking local languages is illiteracy. I remember those days as children when we can climb trees invested with ants without suffering a single bite with local techniques. When we can find our way home without a guide paddling our local canoes or wandering jungles using local navigation patterns. I also recall those times when we set traps in bushes for animals and go home later to celebrate our catch. I now understand that those skills are vital and that acquiring them was not a waste of time.

Today I look at my children and I see a clear difference between the past and the present. Their generation has been disconnected from their root and connected to a strange culture. I am also guilty of spreading the misconception that indigenous education is not important because I have failed to expose my children to them.
I don't understand first of all what is western education. If you see the overall education system around the world, it's really coming from all the parts of world right now. A lot of new discoveries in Science has been made in the East as well. Also a lot of mathematics has actually come from India as well so I don't understand why people say it's Western better world could be modern. Now talking about language, one should know English primarily because it's generally a world wide known language you'll often find a lot of people speaking it and will help you to adapt there. Talking about indigenous education, the problem is not a lot of cultures distinguish actual knowledge from blind faith, so it makes no sense teaching people Blind faith, but yes Local language is always better to learn.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Really Burn helps Token in positive way? on: July 30, 2023, 04:29:47 PM
Hi,
Some How this Burn Buzz word stuck in my mind and i didn't see practical results so far in any successful token.

For example, Shiba Inu is burning tokens aggressively and is it really helping them?

May be i am noob here and happy to hear from experts!

I believe this topic will be useful for someone too!
Actually as per basic economics it does makes some sense as if you see the demand is the same it's the supply which gets reduced and if this thing happens, it's very obvious that the equilibrium gets disturbed if this thing happens and therefore ideally there should be a price increase. But the problem that many market theorists tell is that there is no real gain that flows because the token that are burnt are already with the team and were already not part of the flow so it doesn't really impacts the price.

At the end of the third day, the England team collected 389 runs. And they managed to take a lead of 377 runs. And I think that's enough to win. However, Australia's two bowlers, Mitchell Starc and Todd Murphy, bowled brilliantly. Starc managed to pick up 4 wickets and Murphy 3 wickets. However, the outcome of the match will depend on the performance of Australia's batsmen. It is difficult to bat well in the last innings. It is not an easy task to score 400 runs in the last innings on such a pitch. I think England will win this match. But still the chances of both teams winning are 50-50.

England have a lead of 377 runs and they may or may not able to add 10 to 15 runs tomorrow since they have only one wicket left. England lost the track when Joe Root got out and after that wickets kept falling. The lead must be over 400 runs at the end of 3rd days play. I dont think England are in safe zone if they give a target of 380 runs tomorrow as Australians have a strong batting line and they are capable of chasing such totals quite easily.
Believe it or not it's v
ENG 364/6 with a lead of 352, putting themselves in a strong position to win the 5th test. If ENG do level the series and win the 5th test it’d be a real shame because rightfully they should have won The Ashes. Only rain would have helped AUS retain them because ENG were battering them in the 4th test before rain intervened. It’ll be interesting to see how the final test plays out.
England also played very well in the 4th match but that match ended up being a draw.  However, in the first match, England started well in the second innings, but in the end, they did not seem to be able to sustain their good performance.  Their current score of 340/9 is not a very good score. I think Australia can easily overcome it. With just one wicket to go, England look unlikely to cross 400 as their best batsmen are already got out.

From here it's not even 50-50 chasing target of more than 350 is impossible no matter which track you are on. Also England bowling was pretty good in the first innings as well so i don't see any chance for Aussies in this match now. I belive best bet for Aussies might be to bat as slow and carefully as possible to make it closer to a draw.
104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do exchanges impact the performance of newly listed token? on: July 29, 2023, 07:15:50 PM
Initial listings are usually an exciting time for investors or traders; if they aren’t keen on the opening price, they are anticipating a surge or other reasons to be exhilarated.
How much can these expectations be impacted by the listing exchange? Below are my few observations:

-Increased accessibility and liquidity–Listing on a major exchange raises the accessibility and liquidity of tokens, ultimately driving demand and price.

-Purchasing frenzy – Traders and investors often embrace newly listed tokens with the hopes of profiting from their short-term price surge in the first few hours/days after listing.

-The impact of Promotion– Token price trajectory is usually affected by the hype around new listings, this is triggered more when leading exchanges promote or announce the listing of a new token.

Summarily exchanges significantly impact the performance of newly listed tokens, although this may vary in tokens or exchanges.

As a trader or investor, can you relate to these findings?

Listing in a major exchange is obviously just a big sham and popularity. And when a token gets listed on a big exchange honestly it's just the investors who have been holding it earlier gain something the ones who want to enjoy the pump and dump often end up earning nothing infact do end up losing a lot of times. But yes if you have an insider news about any listing it's good to trade that coin and mint some money.
105  Local / India / Re: Worldcoin: the cryptocurrency that wants to scan your balls on: July 29, 2023, 03:55:41 PM
I meant the eye balls  Grin because that's what I read it on forbes Worldcoin: The Cryptocurrency That Wants To Scan Your Eyeballs

So world coin is basically a project co-founded by openAI CEO Sam Altman whose aim is to provide users a digital identity.
They will be doing this with the help of scanning iris from users' eye balls.

Fun fact is that I saw worldcoin team at Delhi metro station and they were asking users to give their biometric data and they would get 4000rs worth of tokens.
I didn't buy their idea and considered them a scam and then 2 days later I found their coin getting listed on binance.

That's so brave of them to advertise an altcoin in a metro station. I still remember how Unocoin CEO was jailed for opening a Bitcoin ATM kiosk. But for 4000₹ are you willing to risk your privacy? That's a major question that one should really ask. Also providing the initiative of digital identity to a private company is always highly risky and that also who is into AI, god knows what product will they really make out of this.
106  Economy / Economics / Re: Europe have one big problem the euro currency on: July 29, 2023, 03:51:14 PM
The euro currency is in trouble.
Why becouse world dont need euro to buy commodities or goods much.
World needs good germany good cars but can Do without them.
The euro currency value is high becouse of temporary rate hikes it creates only huge short term inside demand for euro inside europe but not in the world.
So USD we need world needs becouse oil and it's reserve currency still.
Gbp pound Also on high demand by other countries on forex markets.
China currency Also on high demand.
Russia currency Also needed highly becouse of natural resources in russia what other countries need.

But when it come Europe there is nothing so euro value might fall very soon becouse world don't need euro and nobody dont want junk eu debt bonds really when times getting harder people want food and commodities and natural resources but europe don't provide nothing to the world so no demand for euro currency either.
So If euro IS so useless what they might do with euro well they Will lower the rates and Will do super qe and print out Even more money and inflation in Europe Will go to Even much higher then it IS now.
Euro Will be printed a lot probably and exvhanged by smarter guys in to usd or gbp before the collapse of euro currency.
I Will sell most of my euro currency becouse i feel it Will start lose value fastest since no euro currency demand on the global markets.
Off course this euro value falling Will create BIG debt and BIG buildings in Europe but at the end europe Will be pretty much like soviet union when the Money printing stops and they cant hide euro with junk bonds and dirty swaps anymore then euro currency holders Will be victims of hyperinflation becouse currency Will lose value so fast If there is no demand by other nations and countries.

But how exactly is that a problem? If you'll let's say forego Euro and bring different currencies for all the European countries even in that case the demand isn't going to increase for sure right? With an unified country currency you'll atleast have the chance of getting some aggregate demand and thus keeping the value of that currency intact. So how exactly do you propose a solution for this?
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 28, 2023, 06:28:07 PM
I think the way Todd Murphy batted at the end was actually the main thing which gave Australia a big advantage and they were actually able to beat the lead of England. I thought that English would actually be able to get 40-50 run lead but Murphy actually played really well towards the end to beat all the lead now I think this match is again very even. England will have to score 300 atleast to make this match invincible.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The beauty of Bitcoin is in use case. on: July 28, 2023, 06:24:15 PM
The more businesses begin to integrate crypto payment in their daily  activities, the more we see real progress regarding the entire concept.

As of today, over 60,000 electric vehicle charging stations now accept Bitcoin across Europe,
thanks to Lightening Network (source: https://mycryptowallet.com.au/news/bitcoin/bitcoin-now-accepted-at-60000-ev-charging-stations-across-europe/). Many businesses are also joining this trend as they realise the advantages offered by this amazing technology. Gradually,  we will see even deeper penetration of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency at large.

But I think gradually the use case has that very basic problem that when the number of users increase, scaling issues begin at a very big level. The fees go high and then the time of transaction goes high as well. If both these things happen then how can you expect an actual use case from such a thing?
109  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Twitter Stock Experience the same Rise? on: July 28, 2023, 06:20:10 PM
Some few days ago, Mark Zuckerberg launched a new app called Thread. The whole netzines are wondering what his intention. Could this be an experiment. The shocking though expected of it is that a few hours after it was launched, it recorded success both in the number of users who signed up to use the app and most importantly on Meta's stock. However, looking critically at the app we can it is obvious that it is merely Instagram clone.

We already know that there is some bad blood between Meta and Twitter. Or Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. Given this, I would like for us to discuss this, if Elon Musk decides to launch a clone of Twitter app, do you think it would achieve the same level of success in terms of user base and Stocks considering Elon's controversial history with Twitter?

Recently what I saw was Twitter going down because of renaming it's name to X so I am not sure how high will Twitter stock experience this. Also meta now is a very different stock if you compare it with X. It's more related to metaverse and technology and not only social networking while Twitter right now is just social networking.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Appeal to the Average Joe and Jane Bitcoin Investors: Buy Bitcoin Now! on: July 27, 2023, 04:58:25 PM
Dear Average Joe and Jane in the Bitcointalk Community,

I hope this appeal finds you well.

I am writing to appeal to you to please consider buying more bitcoins now and not wait for big institutions to start adopting it before making a decision. Why am I making this appeal to you? First, these big institutions, who may have bitcoin on their radar, do not necessarily care about bitcoin's current price when they decide to enter the market. Bitcoin may be at 50k or 100k; they do not consider the price. Their adoption approach mainly focuses on market sentiments and trends. To buttress my point, big institutions that would adopt bitcoin make the decision to invest based on their analysis of the bitcoin market's potential for growth, rather than the specific price at the time of entry.

Another reason why I appeal to you to buy bitcoin now is that there is always a price push from institutions when they enter the bitcoin market, as we have seen in the past. Because they buy thousands of bitcoins all at once, they create a lot of buying pressure that eventually leads to an increase in bitcoin's value. The result is that the price is driven up, and this makes it difficult for retail investors to buy bitcoin.

My Recommendations and Suggestions for You

  • The Dollar-Cost-Averaging Strategy: This strategy helps you create a plan to accumulate more bitcoins over time. With this strategy, you can invest a specific amount in bitcoin periodically at your convenience (e.g., weekly, fortnightly, monthly) irrespective of the price. Start now.
  • Diversified Acquisition: My recommendation and suggestion for you is to also look into alternatives for accumulating bitcoin. These alternatives may include receiving bitcoin as payment for a good you have sold or a service you have rendered. By doing so, you will slowly increase the amount of bitcoins you own and potentially make a profit in the long run when there is a price surge.

Your Bitcoin Colleague,
AlphaKilo
I think the DCA always makes the most sense to me because market is so much unpredictable even if big institutions buy it you are still not sure about their future strategy, they might have plans to further invest when price goes down, so don't follow these news to put your money, make sure you go DCA to get good returns from market.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 27, 2023, 04:46:01 PM
England is struggling at the oval Test, having lost 8 wickets before reaching 300 runs. They are finding it tough to handle the fast bowlers from Australia, which makes it difficult for them to score enough runs. Summing up their current performance, it's unlikely England will be able to achieve a 2-2 score-line in the fifth Test match. I believe Australia will take the Ashes.
AUS have already retained The Ashes due to the bad weather in the 4th test. The series can now only end up 2-2 and that’s if ENG win this final test. It’s a shame it had to end like that but the holder of The Ashes retains them if the series is a draw.

ENG 283 all out, you are right in saying AUS are in the ascendency here. ENG may have had momentum if they had rightfully won the 4th test. As it is, this 5th test is for nothing other than pride for ENG as The Ashes are gone for them.

England showed great dominance in the fourth Test. But they failed to win the match due to rain. England's batsmen were not able to bat well in the fifth and final Test match. England's innings ended with just 283 runs. The team should have collected at least more than 350 in the first innings.

Australia's two openers started their innings well. Australia collected 44 runs without losing any wicket. Usman Khawaja remained unbeaten on 17 and Dawid Warner on 23. If Australia's top order plays well, the team will collect big. Even in the first innings, Australia has the possibility of taking a lead of 150-200 runs.
So far this looks like the game for Australia. Aussie openers are batting pretty nicely on a pitch on which the English more or less just struggled. But yes I feel too early to say anything. England played their usual Bazball tried to score with a run rate of around 5. If England can get some quick wickets it can once again turn into an exciting encounter.
112  Local / India / Re: Which CEX to trade now after Kucoin new KYC requirment? on: July 27, 2023, 04:43:40 PM
Bitget exchange does allow withdrawal of $50k to non KYC user. You can check my reply that I have left on the other thread by ananyabushra. I have submitted the correct link to the post that provides that information. They have not mentioned  that this service is restricted for Indian users. OP you can add this exchange on your list but you do need to keep a track as Bitget tends to change their policy quite often.

Reply link : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5460478.msg62608585#msg62608585

Thanks.

I did go through the link you shared on the other thread. I clearly state that a $50k withdrawal is possible daily without any KYC. That is great to hear and I think they would continue this policy for a long time. I would keep an eye on their blog incase they change the KYC policy in the future. I did visit their telegram channel and found out that a lot of other features being offered by Bitget can be availed without KYC.

Thanks once again for the intelligent input to this thread.
But I think the problem with Bitget will be the volumes for many pairs. I saw CMC for Bitget it doesn't has that much volumes, so the problem will still be the same. yes you can do hold your coins and do some swing trading but intraday is going to be relatively difficult kn this platform. I would rather suggest go KYC if you have that big of portfolio to trade.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Connect data to accelerate cashless payments on: July 27, 2023, 04:39:45 PM
Cashless payment has become so popular and is gradually becoming a habit of many consumers, like last weekend I went to a market in a rural area when I saw that there were very few ATMs around, but surprisingly, the sellers there accept online payments, and the real amount is only about $2 for some fruits. I'm impressed with them because it's still a poor area and payments are mostly cash, but the way they're approaching the changes in the world is still unrestricted.

In recent years, especially after the outbreak of the disease worldwide, the shift of people to payment via Internet channels or mobile phones has increased both the number and value of transactions. In the digital age, data can be used to understand and capture customer behavior and consumption trends, helping banks and businesses identify new opportunities and make the right decisions. and improve operational efficiency. Regarding the role of data in the operation of the banking industry, connecting data will help banks gain insights into customer behavior, helping to cross-sell products. In addition, the full data connection contributes to preventing fraudulent acts, enhancing information security.

Although this is a rather small issue in terms of personal experience, it is undeniable that it is the direction of future development in the new era, what do you think about this issue? Although I know that not everywhere has enough conditions to be exposed to changes in technology, finance, new knowledge, ... but what I am paying attention to is that it is more convenient for life. In life, there are problems that will come to universalize it but over time people do think we will use less cash.
Over the time? I expect cash to be a thing of the past in next 5 years only. If you see the developed countries the payment through plastic money and non cash ways is already pretty high. Even for developing countries like let's say India it's growing each day. So I feel it won't be very far that we will eliminate cash and moves to digital means but obviously these will just be fiat digital means and nothing very special or different.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 23, 2023, 08:21:23 PM
Lucky Australia team, fourth day of the match ended with the play taking place for the last session. This is a big disappointment as England weren't able to take wickets. If they had taken few wickets it could've been a happy moment for them. In these kind of match situation surely rescheduling is a must. The match which is supposed to be an easy win gonna end in a draw will surely make cricket followers lose interest on watching test matches. If this match gets the result in favour of England, the final test match will be very interesting and both the teams will try to win the match which will be the deciding match of the Ashes Series.

The only option left for England now is to draw the series. There is nothing wrong with England performance in 4th test. The match ended in a draw because of 2 days of continuous rain. The pressure is now on England as a draw or loss in final test will cost them the series. With this draw Australia will retain the ashes but they defiantly are not favorite for the last test. England performance in last 2 matches clearly proved that they are as good as any other side.
Really sad to see a draw today. England must be feeling so bad right now considering that they can't do anything now despite having played so nicely in this match. Now best is drawing this ashes. But I think somehow England are themselves at the fault too considering the first two matches, they unnecessarily made fool of themselves when they had real chances of winning those matches as well. But anyhow a great competitive circlet to watch honestly.
115  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbies can't profit from crypto without knowing how to trade. Truth or Myth? on: July 23, 2023, 08:13:33 PM
I overheard my coworkers discussing the idea that new investors in crypto cannot make profits without possessing trading skills. I would like to initiate a discussion on whether this claim is true or false. In my view, this belief is a false notion that is spread by individuals who want to discourage those who are curious about investing in crypto. What is your perspective on this topic?

Guys, I mean what other ways can newbies benefit from crypto investment without having to be a day trader or a professional trader. Because I believe there are other ways to earn aside from trading.
Actually it depends on the trend of the market at that time. For example if you see it right now there is a difficult chance that they would make profit anytime soon because market is very sideways. But at the same time if bull run comes in an year the returns on the money of that person in just 2 years might get upto double or triple or even more than that in altcoins. So yes on a 5 year scale I Am quite confident that crypto will be profitable.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture can save your country from recession on: July 23, 2023, 08:09:42 PM
I don't understand how? Agriculture is the lowest when it comes to contribution to the GDP. Also it's not that productive based on the land as well. I mean the percentage yield which manufacturing or service could provide on the same land will be much more than farming. Also for farming to make money you need to have growth in demand of agro products which also I don't see happening anytime soon. So please care to explain how exactly economically this could happen?
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin competition. on: July 22, 2023, 09:12:52 PM
My new thought about the low investors rate on Bitcoin, this came to my mind this evening and I want to share my thoughts with everyone and not keeping it alone.
Bitcoin investors are much more than altcoins we all know that but thats not important, the important thing is Bitcoin is supposed to have more investors now if only their was no altcoins in the market, if you checked the numbers of investors you will understand what am trying to say. The competition in the market is making more investors not to invest more capital on Bitcoin.
If we use our fiat banks as an example, imagine we have only one bank in the country every citizens will want to open the bank and starts using it but if the banks are more people will spread and use other Banks.
If there's only Bitcoin in the market more investors will invest in Bitcoin because there is no competition. Although the price rate is much more than other coin, but people will still invest on altcoins because that's how Bitcoin price started so low.
Actually to rectify this very thing market has a phenomenon for itself. It's that market infact all the altcoins will only go green when bitcoin is green and similarly all the market will go red when bitcoin will go red so this way there always should be a constant pump to bitcoin so that other coins grow as well.
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 22, 2023, 09:10:31 PM
Would be disappointing if the 4th test ends as a draw as it means AUS would retain the Ashes regardless of what happens in the 5th test. I don’t think even AUS would like to be victorious thanks to the weather.

As it stands ENG need 6 wickets. Hopefully they get at least the full day tomorrow to do that. Would be good to get a few overs today if weather permits but it’s not looking good at the moment.

Australia is still trailing by 61. They have five wickets in hand. Surviving the entirety of the fifth day seems to be a daunting task for them. This is still looking like very much winnable from England. Actually, this is easier to win for England. I have no idea how Australia is going to actually survive the day.

I also do not think that Australia actually have any good alternative other than playing out the fifth day. Because if Australia wants to get a good score to give a good target to England, you can actually be a problem for them. Because Australia might actually lose all the 5 wickets wanting to do that.

But the problem is if Australia drives to just hold back and play out the whole day. They might actually lose the five wickets that they have left anyway. So will it be a good idea to go for some good score? Australia has a decision to make.
No doubt Australia did a good defensive batting today but it was still just rain which saved Aussies today. problem now for England is that you need quick wickets in the first two sessions, because even if I say England bats for last session target they would want in front of them shouldn't be more than 150 because anything above that would be difficult to chase under pressure. But you have to say it was mostly Rain which saved the Aussies today from a crushing defeat on Day 4.

Hi I want to get into trading and just wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get started?

I am not expecting big things straight away but want to at least learn the basics.

I have been looking online for a book to buy to start things off does anyone have any recommendations?

This two books below have lots of good reviews are they good for someone new like myself? ..

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Trading-Strategies-Replicable-Techniques-Management/dp/B09WZ296F2/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=2RZ07ID9WJP3L&keywords=trading+for+beginners&qid=1689428852&sprefix=%2Caps%2C69&sr=8-2-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9waG9uZV9zZWFyY2hfYXRm&psc=1

The second book that you have mentioned buy this one. Secondly buy any basic candlestick course and advanced price action course from anywhere. I am telling anywhere because most of them are going to tell you the same thing no matter what. After you are done with these basic things next step would be to open a demo account and start practicing the strategies that you have learnt. After you are able to make discipline consistent profit in demo account for a few days then move to proper main account.

Hey everyone. What are some of your wealth secrets that you could share with us?

Buying homes with cash and taking loans out on it?

Setting up trust funds in foreign countries and setting offshore corporations to avoid capital gains and taxation? (Sorry tax avoidance for any LEO reading this)

What are your secrets?
In this age of knowledge sharing nothing is a secret anymore. But yes I know one mantra for sure that is true in every case that money always attracts money, so to earn big you must play big. The major problem that everyone faces is earning that initial money or the capital. On the other hand trust funds and off shore companies are really the things big corporations can only do. For an individual it's almost Impossible to do this.
