Thanks a lot for that supportive compliment @NotanExit Cheesy If you can give us some more insights that would be a lot more helpful Smiley

I just think you should have allowed people the opportunity to POW.
Question, I just downloaded the wallet, do we need a config file, I see I have one connection already without it?

Would you also PM me please. I am interested in your project.

Downloaded Wallet. 9 connections. Nice looking wallet. Started up ccminer with 2 video cards ...
ccminer-x64.exe -a x11 -o stratum+tcp://eu1.fairmine.pro:3541 -u ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ -p c=PSC

There are currently 6 miners in the pool. For whatever reason x11 coins and ccminer, or at least my cpu has issues sometimes validating ...
GPU #1: result for 97e1a78f does not validate on CPU!

If anyone knows why this happens please share with the class, thanks!

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: EMBERCOIN [X13, POW/POS] on: October 30, 2018, 12:33:29 PM
Cryptopia deposits are off. I think they might be updating the wallet to the latest version. Yobit is way behind and are on another blockchain trading around 2 satoshi and deposits are off.

Deposits and withdraws are open here for version Ember Wallet v1.1.5.6...

Ember wallet explorer https://www.coinexplorer.net/EMB
And they are running /Ember:1.1.5.6/
So if you want to get going and have a good connection get on this version. I posted instructions a couple posts back on how to update your windows wallets.
Once updated you will be able to send and receive coins from this exchange.
https://c-patex.com

So if you are looking to get out, or get into Ember, now is your time !!!

Here is also a Blockchain Explorer for Ember. Once you update your wallet you will be able to search it as well as track everything ...

THERE IS NO REASON FOR THE MANDATORY UPDATE

If you want to get ready for the swap then simply download the update to a different wallet other then your ember wallet and follow these steps below. If you update and do away with the version you are running now, you may not be able to send or receive coins from the exchanges. The update in my opinion is to prepare you for the upcoming FORK/SWAP and you have a choice to also to not swap or fork. Don't let anyone tell you you have to follow them. This is a community coin and the choice is up to each person on their own. With that being said here is what I know ...

There is no need for a coin swap, this work below resolves connections to other peers as well as transfers your wallet information to the
new wallet update, and prepares you for the upcoming fork.

If you swap when the time comes, it's almost certain that the value of the coin will drop. I base this information
on past experience. Just because there is a fork coming doesn't mean jump ship. Simply buy the new ALT COIN, and also keep your Ember wallet.
The choice however is yours to make. But, I am here to tell you we are being forced to swap !!!

Here is how to prepare for the swap and get connections as well as an
updated blockchain in your wallet.

1). Into the console, type dumpwallet dump.txt.
2). Backup all files
3). Install New Wallet
4). Now delete wallet.dat file (make sure you have a backup)
5). Delete peers.dat file ( new wallet auto connects )
5). Place dump.txt file in same wallet folder where QT is.
6). Launch wallet - it creates new wallet.dat
7). On console type importwallet dump.txt
Cool. Backup new wallet.dat

I used Ember V1.1.5.2 to dump my text file
https://github.com/EmberCoin/Ember/releases

Link to Ember V1.1.5.3
https://atheneumchain.io/embercoin_wallet_update_v1_1_5_3/

I then ran V1.1.5.6 Imported text file to this version
https://github.com/AtheneumChain/Ember/releases/tag/1.1.5.6

I just simplified the instructions for all WINDOWS Ember wallet users !!!

Once your wallet is up and running DO NOT DELETE old QT
wallets. You never know when you may have refer back, Like I did !!!

Exchanges:
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=EMB_DOGE
https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=EMB_LTC
https://novaexchange.com/market/DOGE_EMB/
https://yobit.net/en/trade/EMB/DOGE
https://yobit.net/en/trade/EMB/ETH

I believe Cryptopia is running V1.1.5.0. However, even with the conf file and peers being removed from folder or left in the folder, there are no connections
when I start this version.

While running V1.1.5.6 I requested to withdraw 704 EMB from my Cryptopia Account to test my new wallet version.
Even though the withdraw history on Cryptopia shows the transaction of 700 coins is completed, I have not received coins in my Ember Wallet Version 1.1.5.6. My wallet also shows that its staking.

I also tested sending 700 Ember from my wallet to my Cryptopia account with V1.1.5.6. Ten confirmatioins where needed. However the coins never reached Cryptopia. This
confirms Cryptopia is using a lesser version wallet. Since I dont care to swap and since I like the partnership with exchanges I restarted V1.0.1 wallet with these ...

I at least get connections with V1.0.1 and start staking, but then they come and go. So I am content using this version and see if people will follow and also use V1.0.1.
If you are successful sending and receiving coins with any other version let me know!
https://bitbucket.org/EmberBlockProject/ember/downloads/Ember-qt_WIN_V1.0.1.0.zip

Yobit has the ember withdraw in maintenance mode !!!
Deposits on Yobit are also off still. They may be running V1.0.1.0 or older!

I didnt test Nova Exchange. Anyone with knowledge about this exchange and Ember?

It's fair to say that even though the devs are doing a good job with updates to the wallet, they obviously care only about the upcoming fork. This is made clear
by them not being able to persuade the exchanges to follow their updates. With that being said, if they continue, and we are left unable to transfer coins to and from exchanges if we
use each and every wallet they throw at us.

We do have a choice. I dont know about you, but I feel the confusion and constant updates is not fair so I am here to help you understand that you dont have to follow them. If you do follow keep in mind that you stand the chance of not being able to stake, and or send and receive coins. If you want the fork, simply continue running V1.0.1 and stake, but be ready for the swap by simply having the files you need in another folder and NOT IN THE SAME EMBER FOLDER. When they say you can swap simply shut down V1.0.1.0 and start up whatever version will be needed for you to send these new devs all your ember coins. For now, all we need to do is use the same wallet V1.0.1 and live happily with Ember, and not update the wallet ever, if you dont want to swap!

Anyone have a connection with Yobit also? Would love for this coin to come out of maintenance.

I know x11 has issues but are they that bad really?

Why would you not simply release the wallet for download? you obviously built it, tested it, and are running it?
If you're on linux you should have no problem building it. Everything is there. I don't have a windows machine to build/test, so we'll have to rely on community members until I sort something out.

I see. Okay !!!

Just want to pass along the fact that there is a wallet upgrade !!! V2.0 is the recent and best working wallet right now. How do I know? I went through the steps and got my wallet to synce and start staking.

After I started staking I checked out the RichList and I have to tell ya, there are a ton of wallets that haven't staked in a very long time, so get busy if you have a wallet. Here is what I did ...

I created a folder in my Roaming/1337 folder called backup. I then shut down my wallet completely. Check Task Manager and make sure its dead.
Then I copied the database and txlveldb folders and pasted them into the backup folder. I also copied and pasted .lock 1337.conf 1337.qss blk001.dat
db debug peers.dat

I made several copies of my wallet.dat and stored them away safely.

I then followed these steps below ...

========================================================================

Instructions on how to use snapshot (If this is your first time using Elite wallet):
========================================================================
- Download the latest wallet V2.0 https://github.com/xenonflux/1337/releases
- Download latest snapshot from same page or,  https://www.elitecurrency.net/wallets (if you haven't already). Its named Elite-Snapshot.zip. Please check the upload date in the Github description to see you have the latest.
- Extract the zip file.
- Go to your C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/1337 folder
- Now copy all the files inside Elite-Snapshot folder and paste them in your C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/1337 folder.
- Replace all if asked.
- Now start your v2.0.0.0 Elite-qt.exe
- Start v2.0.0.0 Elite-qt.exe.
- Let the wallet synce and catch up.

Instructions on how to use snapshot (If you already have Elite wallet running and have 1337 folder in C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming):
========================================================================
- Close your wallet.
- Go to your C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/1337 folder
- Backup your wallet.dat (this is very important, try to save it in your usb or somewhere you can easily retrieve it later from)
- After backup, delete all the files in your C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/1337 folder except wallet.dat and 1337.conf (if you dont have 1337.conf, dont worry)
- Download latest snapshot from https://www.elitecurrency.net/wallets (if you havent already). Its named Elite-Snapshot.zip. Please check the upload date in the Github description to see you have the latest.
- Extract the zip file.
- Now copy all the files inside Elite-Snapshot folder and paste them in your C:/Users/<username>/AppData/Roaming/1337 folder.
- Now start your v2.0.0.0 Elite-qt.exe

Thank you,
==========

Pe webdollar.io, alegerea unui pool e aventura: set-ezi unul, si de multe ori sare pe un altul - haotic.

Apoi, cred ca se poate implementa in cod o lista in care fiecarui pool (inclusiv consensus) sa i se poata
atasa o prioritate.
Ex: pool_d    --> 1
    pool_b      --> 2
    consensus --> 3
    pool_a      --> 4
    pool_c      --> 5
Astfel incat, daca pool_d cade, automat sa sara pe pool_b. Si daca pool_b cade si el, sa treaca pe consensus. Etc.

Ca sa nu aflam dimineata ca pool-ul curent a cazut...
Lista poate fi circulara.

Translation:
On webdollar.io, choosing a pool is an adventure: set one, and often jumps on another - chaotic.

Then I think you can implement in the code a list in which each pool (including consensus) can be
attach a priority.
Ex: pool_d -> 1
    pool_b -> 2
    consensus -> 3
    pool_a -> 4
    pool_c -> 5
So, if pool_d falls, automatically jump to pool_b. And if pool_b falls, he's on the consensus. And so on

Not to find out in the morning that the current pool fell ...
The list can be circular.

------
galileo2 ,  keep in mind there are pool fees. I half like your idea, the half that doesn't has to do with the fees. Not that it might start a fee war, but imagine if it auto swapped and everyone ended up in that pool, and then the fees started increasing because one pool manager is king of the hill and then decides to up the fee. Not that a fee war would be a bad thing, it would absolutely be something unseen in crypto so far, and we all know bad news is also good news, so ...

The only way, if there was an auto swap on drop, to make it fair would be to maybe split the ocean. Keep USA and Europe separate and if there is a dump in USA all miners that get dropped that live in USA would be rerouted to another USA node; and all Europe drop miners would be rerouted to Europe secondary node!

Just helping to think out of the box here ...

We are not interested in paying big exchanges fees (which even costs millions of dollars for Binance for instance) for listing our coin.

I would hold out a very long time before considering having to pay anything to get listed. Exchanges earn on transactions and if they really feel they are losing out on a coin I believe they would list it so they too can earn from the trades.

My wonder though is this. With this being a web-based coin, how do the exchanges go about listing it if they wanted too?
