101  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coining A Dice | Happy Hours, Jackpot, Faucet, Giveaways and more on: July 17, 2015, 05:28:28 PM
Hi, I just wanted to say I like your site.  To me it looks like an improved version of dadice.  Keep up the great work!
102  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: *** royaltrust.biz *** 1% up to 3.5% every day until you will reach 180% on: July 16, 2015, 05:40:59 PM
So how does it work?  Is is a game like chain profit, or is it just a straight up hyip ponzi?  I like chain profit because it is transparent, you know what you are getting in to and you can see what happens, even if you don't get paid out.
103  Economy / Gambling / Re: What are the dice sites with the lowest house edge? on: July 16, 2015, 05:39:11 PM
Another thing to consider besides house edge is the features of the site.  I like the interface of dadice, but otoh I don't like how the roll results can be easily hidden when you do things like open the chat.  I wish they had a floating window or something that was always visible with the results.  But each site has its own unique features that you might find more important than the house edge.
104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin noob on: July 16, 2015, 05:35:33 PM
Kraken fees are pretty high, I don't recommend them.  For small purchases in the EU, look for an exchange that takes bank transfers.  It is the cheapest way to go usually.  They say coinbase, but they take ach.  I think it is different in the eu.

One thing I also recommend is that if you are starting out it is a good idea to play some faucets to get some dust.  It is a waste of time as far as actually making money, but you can use it to learn about wallets and things.  Once you feel comfortable with that you can move on to real money (and stop using faucets because they are a waste of time).  The best faucet is moonbitcoin because you don't have to keep going back every five minutes.  You can just pop in once a day or whatever and collect a decent amount of satoshis.  Good luck!
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How does it feel to spend bitcoins and soon after the price goes up? on: July 16, 2015, 05:30:16 PM
I used to worry about this kind of thing, but then I realized that I can't predict the future.  Those guys who got rich by being early adopters might have seen the potential in bitcoins, but there is no way they could have known what the price would be in the future.  So when this happens I just shrug.
106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hardware wallets are unsafe on: July 15, 2015, 10:35:29 PM
Maybe I missed it, but they don't say which HW wallets are using this?  Are all of them?  Well, I guess it is always a good idea to not keep all your coin in one place, no matter how secure it seems.
107  Economy / Gambling / Re: Good and relatively safe dice strategy? on: July 15, 2015, 10:29:11 PM
Hi, as others have said, there is no guaranteed winning strategy against dice.  Every roll, taken in isolation, the math is against you.  So you should lose in the long run.  Some people get lucky, its true.  But the odds are not on your side.  I agree that the best strategy might be to do jus tone roll.

But, unless you are rich, please do not do this!  I hate to see someone lose so much coin at once to a casino.  I look at a casino, or ANY type of betting, as entertainment.  So I won't spend more then I would at other types of entertainment, such as dinner and a movie.

Good luck!
108  Economy / Gambling / Re: try your chess skills for bitcoin on: July 14, 2015, 04:37:32 PM
Chess for bitcoins? Isn't Chess a little too exploitable as a game? I mean you could just have pretty strong Chess program running in the background and just copy moves from it.

Yeah, this is exactly what I was thinking.  Even my old copy of chessmaster, which is not supposed to have the best engine out there from what I understand, could beat 99% of human players I think.

What the heck, I might as well fire up the old beast of a game lol.
109  Economy / Gambling / Re: What percent of internet Bitcoin poker is Luck vs Skill? on: July 14, 2015, 04:30:17 PM
i think to play in gambling we need luck and skill
so i choice 50% luck and 50% skill.
and dont forget to play poker we need be patience.

if its a 50/50 then probably i should do always call the All-in button because i have a 50% winning percentage

No its definately not 50/50.

In real-life you can win easily just by looking at people's expressions. Doing it online that's impossible.

I guess it is hard to place a number on luck, but I chose 50-50 because it has a nice roundness to it.  Skill is important for sure, but if you never get the good deals, then you will not have much luck!  And we have all had bad deal streaks, and no matter how skillful you are it is hard to win without good deals once in a while.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: The End of Money as We Know It documentary is out! on: July 14, 2015, 04:25:47 PM
Sweet!  Bookmarked, I don't have time right now but I will watch it when I get the chance.  It looks like a good film.

We shall see.

Personally, I think Crypto will move beyond money, but what that really means, I don't think anyone knows yet.

Zen Smiley

But it is money, so what else would it become?  I don't think we will see the end of fiat in our life time.  However, just as paper fiat is now mostly electronic numbers (most people pay with plastic etc, not actual cash), I could see crypto slowly taking on this role too.  Especially as the world economy becomes more globalized: china and india are catcing up to america and europe, so there are more fiat players in the room now.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bittrex / Poloniex / Cryptsy All Coin Trading Software, Quatloo Trader. on: July 13, 2015, 06:54:08 PM
I have not yet tested any of the other exchanges but I get several errors in the log from bittrex but the bot seams to be working properly anyway.

Edit: Sending my question again .

Im trying this software. I have just started with it.

I have some questions.

1.   In Advanced bidplacing : How to stop bot from making many buy orders? Selling stops because there is not enough Alt coins. But buying stops when bitcoins is 0.
To use "stop tasks if BTC balance falls below ... is not good because I can be selling another coin and my BTC balance will never go under that level. Coin balance cant be used because there is no balance of alts if not any buyings yet have happend or coins are in the sell.

2.   And what is the difference between scalp mode and normal mode?

Classic ping pong is funny it just buys from the sell and then sell to the bids. Just a loss. Should have been buying from sell and sell higher.

Cryptsy Api dont work for me. But I will try again.

Scalp mode cancels orders, so use that.  Classic: don't use it.  I think it is for making extra volume?  Or.. IDK wtf it is for actually.  For #1, please correct me if I am srong, but I don't think the program will do this.  However it would be AWESOME  if you could tell the bot to use, say, .2 btc for one pingpong, and .1 for another, and .3 for a third, etc, so that you wouldn't have to worry about this.  Also now that I think of it, it would be great if we could do multiple pingpong using just one instance of the program.  And finally since I am on a roll, I would have a joygasm if you included a tracking feature that counted everything for taxes, like transaction fees, gains/losses, etc, for all of the included exchanges on one page.  Ok, thanks Dev for the awesome program.

Hi Darksters,

First of all sorry for my absence the last few weeks. My wife got realy sick and unfortunately she lost that fight and i couldend get my self to work.
Its been very hard on me and my kids. Hoping you will all understand my absence.

I fired up my pc today for the first time. And i have a bunch of messages to look over. Somethings about a new logo.
I got some new idea's and the old (like mobile wallet) to work on. For now i have to combine my work with the everyday life of my kids.

Im going to try to update again on a daily basis.

Best regards DarkTron Team

I am sorry for your loss.  FWIW, in light of your personal loss, I understand if you can't develop this coin.  Take care of yourself and your family, don't worry about the coin.  If it dies and I lose money, it is irrelevant.  Don't worry about it, take care of the important things first.
114  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: ChainProfit.com - 30+ BTC Invested | 140% Return | Running over two months now on: July 13, 2015, 06:37:51 PM
what do you think about this website
legit or no?

Legit.  Definitely legit.  The site is relatively open (not quite as open as CryptoPyramid.com, but still decent), and you can see everything that's going on.  They have the withdrawal history published on the site, just in case you think they're going to hold onto your money.

In reality, they have access to less than 0.2 BTC at any given time.  Running away with the funds, like other investor games, is not really possible with this layout.

+1.  I like the design of this site.  I think it should not be in this section, but in the gambling section.  W/e, it is still a good design for a game.  I didn't' try out crypto pyramid, I will have to look at those guys too.  I don't really have free coin for gambling at the moment, but this game is on my short list for sure.
115  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: BITCOIN INVESTMENT FIRM on: July 13, 2015, 06:33:38 PM
Uh, yeah.  This looks legit lol.
116  Other / Politics & Society / Re: fuck capitalistic trash . the federal reserve ponzi. dumb fuck americans on: July 13, 2015, 06:28:00 PM
So, I hate to respond to a troll thread, but you do understand that we don't actually have capitalism in America, right?  So I assume you (the op) don't really know what it is.  But either way it is silly to make a blanket statement about everyone in a nation.  Its like saying that everyone in England is a genocidal maniac because of that country's bloody past.  Just silly.

You do realize that the average person has zero power?  There has been a progression of corporate ownership of the government, which really got a steroid boost under Regan (ironic yeah?)  So we have reached the point where there is no more representation.  It doesn't matter who you vote for, only those entities with bribes in hand can have a voice.  So you need to separate those who are to blame from those who are not.  I could go on but I won't.  You get the idea.

So I would counter that the OP is a D.F. for making blanket statements about things he does not understand.

But actually the fed reserve is kind of a ponzi, so you are right about that I guess.
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Interesting Chart] Price Per Bitcoin vs. Bitcoin Market Cap on: July 13, 2015, 06:20:25 PM
I think anything can happen.  Long term it is impossible to say if bitcoins will still be the king.  Personally I think that the value of cryptos will lean towards a better, more anonymous option in the future.  But in any case imo the chances of bitcoin market cap going up are really good.  It is just a matter of how attractive it looks to investors.  It might eventually replace gold as a safe investment or storage of wealth, because it is so much easier to deal with than gold.  If I had to put a number on it, I would say 5 bil market cap in 5 years, but honestly there is no way to predict such things.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Early adopter or Johnny come lately? on: July 12, 2015, 04:42:24 PM

I think the same people here who act all smart about accepting Bitcoin now it's all over the mainstream wouldn't touch it when it was at its early stages.

However, if you think I am being harsh, prove me wrong and download this app that  I swear to you is the future of Cryptocurrency, it takes less than a minute to register and you start receiving coins for doing zero!! Which I guarantee will be worth a ton in the coming months. So are you an early adopter or a Johnny come lately...

Post if you accept new things or not...

http://getgems.org

I wasn't really an early adoptor, but it had more to do with me being far too busy to learn about cryptos, and not understanding the tech enough to trust it.  When BTC first came out, even a 100$ investment would have been beyond my financial means.  When you are poor you just don't worry about investments.  That is for people with money Smiley

Now I have a few pennies to throw in, and some time to keep track of them, so it is not about being a laggard so much as when in my life I actually had the ability to get in.
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: How does it feel like ? on: July 12, 2015, 04:38:45 PM
As far as I'm concerned bitcoin is still in its infancy. I'm not bothered about the price, I'm HODLING for at least another 5 maybe 10 years. We have the potential to reach a price of 10,000 USD for 1 bitcoin, not now sure but come back to me in 10 years.

As for those saying bitcoin was dead, how are those double digit coin predictions doing?

DERP!

Yep.  I bought in at a low of ~235 recently so I am pretty happy about that.  I just wish the price will go back down again so I can buy more for cheap!  It is in its infancy, look at the market cap and you realize only a tiny fraction of investors have bought in.  Just wait until people catch up, and it will be a storage of wealth like gold.  Everyone will own a little bit, the market cap will sky rocket, and we will all be wealthy B).   Hey a guy can dream right?
120  Economy / Gambling / Re: Discussion | Enter Gambling Bet with 52.4288 BTC using Martingale Technique ! on: July 12, 2015, 04:35:07 PM
and assume started with 0.00005 BTC (5000 satoshi) with automatic betting , every 1 second 1 bet

to lose all he got (and here is 52.4288 for example) , with Martingale technique he got 20 chance to win 50% for each
-snip-

There are few things that is off with your "calculations" that you forgot to take into account :

#1 If you actually has ~52BTC you wouldnt want a dust bet of 5000 satoshis. It is much better to play at a higher base bet and not to
use martingale at all. It is proven many times that martingale could be one of the worst strategy however a variances of it could be
used for better chance to win

#2 Roulette has an edge of ~2.7 % for single zero wheel and ~5.4 for the double zero wheel and if you actually want a 2x payout
martingale then dice would be a better option because of its lower house edge or even BlackJack for the 1% <  house edge

#3 The probability to get over 20x loss streak is not actually "rare" is most cases it will happens at 0.00011637 %  chance . Number is
actually close to zero however this happens quite a lot

I never saw 20 losses, but when I have pilot mode on for dadice, it is not unusual to see 5-10 losses in a row.  Doesn't happen all the time, but it does happen.  And afaik they are a good site who does not fudge the odds to screw you over.  Again using pilot mode the numbers after seveal hours of play are very very close to the stated %, so I think that they are legit.  Because you can bet on that site with just 1 satoshi on pilot, it would be a good place to test your luck and see how many wins/losses in a row you can get.  Also you can change the win/payout to as high as 98% win chance, an interesting feature.
