101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Woman won $43million but was offered a steak dinner instead of her winnings on: January 11, 2023, 08:24:29 AM
Quote
Katrina Bookman was playing the slots at the Resorts World Casino in Jamaica, Queens when she secured what would have been the largest slot machine jackpot in US history - $42,949,672 (£35.4m). She took a selfie with the machine to mark the moment, and later said her whole body went 'numb' when she saw the life-changing figure. Bookman was told to come back the next day to discuss her winnings, but when she asked an employee what she'd be walking away with, he responded: "You didn't win nothing." The New York State Gaming Commission said Bookman’s machine had malfunctioned, and that she'd actually won just $2.25 (£1.86).The machine had a disclaimer stating 'malfunctions void all pays and plays', and as a result the commission said that they were required by law to give Bookman only what she'd actually won.

Some Casinos are just plain fraudulent. So this woman visited a casino, play slot and won $43million. She took a selfie with the amount displayed on the machine. The casino saw it and told her to return the next day so they could talk about the winnings. Next day she returned. Story changed. She was told the machine had malfunctioned and therefore it was what was responsible for the winnings. They went ahead to offer her a complimentary steak dinner. I got so livid reading this story.

Isn't this just the stupidest reason not to give her her winnings?
Couldn't they have known that their so-called machine was faulty before letting gamblers use it?
How could they do this to her?

That just seems propostrous. I mean if the machine is faulty why is it there in the first place? They should at least give a compensation to the winner and they should be fined for having a faulty machine in operation.

Now Im Exploring new casinos for sports betting and I can say I was impressed with this casino. It looks like apart from good liquidity we can find several sports betting options that cannot be found in many casinos. I have enjoyed the casino a lot so ill be exploring it further in the coming weeks
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk is for crypto or just for attention to boost Tesla, SpaceX? on: January 10, 2023, 06:20:00 PM
Watching the lately spot about Musk appearing on live tv this weekend for showing what all the hype is about and if he will actually have a mention of his favorite cryptocurrency doge, it seems the media are jumping all over this appearance.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWWzszskgmA

What are your thoughts about this North American appearance and what do you think he will do or say about doge or even bitcoin?
I think since Miley Cyrus is the musical guest he will have her dress up as a dog and call her doge. Cheesy
She likes cats and had dressed up as them on stage during her concerts, so you never know what these two crazy people will do on this episode.

Imo musk has done more bad than good to cryptos. He simply used cryptos to make a lot of profit. Cmon what are you waiting from a guy that in one minute says tesla is accepting Bitcoin and in the other backs his word!? And in the meantime makes millions dumping bitcoin. He just used cryptos to make some money. He doesnt give a damn about it.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anyone making 4 or 5 digits (USD) monthly from Crypto Sports betting? on: January 10, 2023, 06:11:17 PM
You can use stake as they will not create any hindrance when it comes to withdrawing any earnings no matter what the ammount is. As long as it is legit they will not create any problems.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino games plebs like us must play on: January 10, 2023, 02:54:47 PM

"Blackjack is one of our easiest games to play," Bean said. "You're just looking for a number that beats the dealer's number without going over 21."

Blackjack is one of the easiest and fast learning games we can find over at casinos. However, this doesn't mean that it is easy to get out some profits when playing it. Usually, there is the beginner's luck, but then given newbies are inexperienced, they end up losing it all. That is why that I do not consider Blackjack a simple game. I mean, yeah it is easy to grasp and all but being able to get out with some profits is simply not something that is that easy to achieve.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2022/23 on: January 10, 2023, 02:44:02 PM
Sporting suffered another unexpected defeat, they lost to one of the worst teams in league Maritimo 1:0. Now they're 12 points behind 1st place and they can forget it. But now their situation in fight for Champions league spot becomes quite complicated.

sporting is an unstable team this season, they can lose against a weak team today and in the next games they win a game against a strong team and this happens because in each season when sporting is playing well they sell players, they are profit but the team is unstable, they start to have bad results, and as they already have profits from selling players, they don't get desperate because they couldn't sell a player, it's a very sad scenario that you see in the Portuguese league, it's something like the Bundesliga

I read news that Benfica is under investigation for being involved in fixed games between 2016 and 2020. If it will be confirmed, I think they can face similar faith like Juventus - lose of champions titles and kicked out to lower division
https://www.sportbible.com/football/benfica-match-fixing-portugal-957636-20230108

I am not seeing this news on the news channels in Portuguese, that means that they are not giving much importance to this case, if this news had many chances of being true or of obtaining evidence, the news channels in Portuguese would be posting this news everywhere and at all times, nothing else would be talked about, the focus would only be on this subject

This is actualy true.  Benfica is under investigation as well as its president who is accused of several frauds. Itis known that he  paid for referrees and tried to have advantages. This all with justice as there was someone spilling out a lot of information thta is negative not only to bemfica but as well to other teams.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Portuguese League - Liga Portugal 2022/23 on: January 09, 2023, 10:30:11 PM
What is making me mad withthe classification is that Maritimo is javing one of the worst years ever and is now  the second in last. Even worst, if they do not improve or get some good results they are in to go down to the second division which never happened before. Maritimo is actually my preferred team in the world as they are my homeland team. I just wish they can turn things around and avoid any remission.

It really is very strange, or out of the ordinary, what is happening with Maritimo. You can't understand how a mid-table team, over decades, is performing as poorly as this season. They really have to change a lot of things quickly, if they're not going to go down the drain.
[/quote]

Yeah. Marítimo has been going through a rough phase with the Club's direction and the trainer. Finally, yesterday Marítimo had its second win in this championship against Sporting. What's funny here is that it seems that Marítimo intends to get back on track, while Sporting who was supposed to be fighting for first place, ends up losing points and getting way behind. Of course, this win is extremely important for Marítimo but in reality, Benfica is the one who gets out with an advantage from this game.

109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is The Gambling Industry Part Of The Domino Effect That Happens In The Market on: January 09, 2023, 06:40:14 PM
The gambling industry in cryptocurrency is responsible for a lot of publicity to the crypto industry as well as it as brought a lot of newcommers into cryptos. Now, if the crypto industry is going through a rough phase it doesnt mean that casinos will also be affected. In fact, I do believe that the bear market is something good for the crypto gambling industry.
110  Economy / Gambling / Re: New casino BTC game development on: January 09, 2023, 06:34:32 PM
Hello

Lately, I have created an absolutely sublime crypto casino.
Small demo available right here: https://demoscript.online/

18 games available, a crispy admin panel and hundreds of options like the biggest online casinos.
The source is custom ~50% to have something nice and clean and unique.

It is made in PHP with Laravel and for the db it is MongoDB.

I will set a quota of 0.01 BTC which seems reasonable to avoid the leeching of such a beautiful project.

Looks like pretty interesting and well developed casino. Now all you need os to make some serious investment in publicizing the site and you should get a lot of gamblers in no time. Just add new options and new games once on a while and things should go big. Best of luck for your casino!
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We have been told: Invest only Extra money in bitcoin on: January 09, 2023, 06:27:03 PM
We have been told many times to invest only funds which you can afford to lose in bitcoins. But the question is that most of us do not have that extra funds to invest. So, what we do is we buy bitcoins from our savings, and from whatever money we get, we try to buy bitcoins. Middle class people do not have that EXTRA money WHICH THEY CAN"T AFFORD TO LOSE.

Yes, i invest in bitcoins but it is not EXTRA money and I am afraid I can't afford to lose. Do you have that EXTRA money that you can afford to lose  Huh

Yeah I got you, we should only invest in Bitcoins. However, there are still other options. Even if they will not give the ammount of profit Btc can provide in the future they will still give some nice profits. Take it LTC for instance, IMO and from all I have ever seen from it along its potential, LTC is also a good option to make some good profits in the next bull run.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people store their cryptocurrency on exchanges? on: January 09, 2023, 06:20:21 PM
I am in the process of purchasing a Ledger Nano offline wallet and it got me thinking about why people store their digital assets on crypto exchanges.

These exchanges are susceptible to hacking, insolvency/bankruptcy, misuse of customer funds (FTX) etc.

What would happen if Binance got hacked tomorrow and lost the majority of its cryptocurrency? Would they be able to reimburse customers or would they become insolvent?

I asked my close group of friends how many store their assets on exchanges and only 1 out of 6 uses an offline wallet.

The recent incident with Luke Dashjr confirms that you are always at risk of being hacked no matter how vigilant you are.

Will give my thoughts on the Ledger Nano once I receive it.

I guess that is not only a matter of storing coins on exchanges. People will send their coins on to exchanges as they want to sell their coins as soon as there is a spike. At least many people I know does this. Other may store their coins on exchanges as they ate not clear aboit not your keys not your coins....
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you do if you get a time machine now? on: January 09, 2023, 02:54:31 PM
Ironic question right? Well, as a crypto lover/ investor or whatever, only one thing that comes to my mind. That is, to be honest, if I get a time machine now, I would probably travel to the past and advise myself to buy BTC when it was so low. In the past, I may not have had the cash to buy it, but somehow I would convince myself to gather some money to buy it. Or take something from today and give it to my past self.

This is just like a fantasy. A daydream that is impossible to do. But have you ever thought something out of the box? Like we are in 2022 soon to be in 2023 (Happy new year to all). As days pass by we are moving toward the future right? Thinking about it like this puts us in the past. Our future will become our present one day. So are you going to think the same thing about your future and just continue on living?

Bitcoin is here with us since 2008. We can't go to the past, can't change it.

After all this, you may be wondering what I am trying to tell here. Let me explain then.

Considering our present as our past, put yourself in the future and think about what your future self would advise you right now.  In this bear market, the price is low. Not as low as in 2008, but it is low now. What are you going to do? Ignore this now and in the future tell yourself when Bitcoin crosses its ATH again that, "if only I had a time machine now"
Well, a bear market is not a thing to be panicked about. It's an opportunity to fill our bags. Hold it for the future, as if your future self told you to do so. Every pro-crypto owners know this. Time to learn for yourself.

This topic is for newbies who are thinking that BTC will fail and get vanished out of existence. Read this, and you will understand

[Note: Not your financial adviser, Do Your Own Research]

Be sure to let us know what you think about this!

I would go back in time to mine bitcoin on its first year. That way, I would be able to amass a high number of coins and would lock tehm on a wallet back in time to access it in the future.  Moreover, I would contribute like one of the early adopters and become known throughout history.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If Luck Was Measured In Percentage, Rate Your Luck In 2022 From 0-100 on: January 09, 2023, 02:41:59 PM
It's a Simple question -
Let's all assume that luck could be measured in percentage, I want us all to rate our luck in gambling for the year 2022,
From 0 to 100, rate how lucky you were in gambling last year.

And if you don't mind, feel free to also discuss your plans for this year 2023, how much do you hope to make from gambling before this year runs out, and do you have plans laid down to make this possible? Please feel free to tell us, you might just be helping someone re-arrange their gambling activities/plans for the year.

For me,
I will rate my 2022 gambling luck 5% out of 100, I didn't gamble much, but for the little I gambled, I didn't win much either, Infact, I think I lost more money than I won from gambling in 2022.

My gambling plans for this year 2023...
I currently do not have any plans yet for this year as I've not really settled into the year, have a few debts from last year I am still trying to settle before I think of gambling again..

Last year was not easy for me. Had some ups and downs in life and some things changed for the worst. Even so, wehn it comes to gambling cant say I was unlucky as I did got some beautiful earnings that pretty much wrecked the losses. So, I do believe that my luck was around 65Percent or so.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: what If Bitcoin Price never comes up on: January 08, 2023, 07:52:03 PM

please explain me why bitcoin will make another all time high
or explain some circumstances in that bitcoin's price  will go more low and never or after long times later comes up

It is all about scarcity, real-world use and freedom. Bitcoin is not an asset that is scarce and has real-world use, it is also a tool that allows you to be in control of your own finance. In fact, it is the only asset that allows you to be in total control, and that is its true value.  Now, as with every asset, it will face lows and highs, and if you look at Bitcoin's price action since its first appearance, you can pretty much check it is on an ascending pattern on the long run and if you relate it with its fundamental's such the "halvening" you can understand the reason that Bitcoin still has a real potential of seeing new highs.
116  Other / Off-topic / Re: Virtual Cards For Online Sportsbooks and Casinos on: January 08, 2023, 04:07:46 PM
I've recently after an attempted hack on my bank account, grown concerned about giving casinos and sportsbooks access to my personal and financial information when I use my prepaid card to top off my bankroll and partake in my preferred casino games and sporting events.

Could you kindly recommend virtual cards that online sportsbooks and casinos will accept for deposits and withdrawals without revealing my bank information?

If you are so concerned about security and your personal data being spilt across the network you should only use cryptos to charge you account. Of course that this is difficult for casinos that do not accept cryptos, but still if security is your concern, the best option is to only use crypto casinos.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: SOCCER TIPS for the Weekend! on: January 08, 2023, 02:17:25 PM
SUNDAY SOCCER TIPS - 08/01/2023

Netherlands - Eredivisie

1- Utrecht - Feyenoord

I believe we will see a Utrecht with the initiative of the game and pressing the opponent with a lot of intensity. The visiting team wants to surprise the hosts. This tends to be a busy game, so we bet both teams score goals.

Both Teams Score

2-NEC - Ajax

The home team cannot make defensive mistakes throughout this game. The visiting club has more quality and must impose itself on the field. I see the visitors as favorites, so I bet on Ajax's triumph at the end of the first half.

Ajax to Win at Halftime

Italy - Serie A

3- Salernitana - Torino

A match dominated by the home team is expected, however, Salernitana plays at home and needs to add the three points. It should be noted that Torino's last four away games ended with the market “Both teams score – Yes” winning.

Both Teams Score

England - FA Cup

4- Bristol City - Swansea

A match controlled by Swansea is expected. However, it is foreseeable that Bristol will also have good goal situations, taking into account that it acts with the massive support of its fans. It should be noted that the average of goals in the games of the two teams is relatively high, that is, there is a high probability of there being several goal opportunities from both sides.

Both Teams Score

5- Derby Barnsley

It is true that a match with more tendency for the home side is expected, however, Barnsley can also be very motivated for having won several victories in the last matches counting for League One. It should be noted that the market “Both Score – Yes” proved to be the winner in two of the last three matches between the two teams.

Both Teams Score

6-Stockport - Walsall

It is true that a match controlled by the home team is expected, however, Walsall is a team that practices quality football and has enough arguments to endanger the opponent's defense. In this way, it is expected that we will be facing a very open match and with several goal opportunities.

Both Teams Score

7- Norwich Blackburn

It is true that most of the match should be controlled by Norwich, however, it is expected that Blackburn Rovers will try to surprise their opponent. It should be noted that the two emblems have very offensive game models. Having said that and taking into account these factors, risking in favor of the market ''Both teams score - Yes'' in this game is a good option.

Both Teams Score

8- Hartlepool Stoke

It is true that Stoke City should assume all the protagonism of the game, however, Hartlepool United also has good arguments and should not stop trying to attack. In this way, a very positive match is expected, where goal opportunities should appear in large numbers.

Both Teams Score

Scotland - Premiership

9- Motherwell Hibernian

The two teams are going through a bad moment recently and are looking to resume the path of victories in this round. Thus, an open and well-contested game is expected, without the tactical rigidity of other times, where Motherwell will try to make the home factor prevail, against a Hibernian team committed to dividing the game by the game and also exploiting the defensive weaknesses of the adversary.

Under 2.5 goals

Belgium - Pro League

10- Genk Club Brugge

Genk has to take the initiative in the game and thus put pressure on his opponent. I expect a team to score hard and try to attack quickly. This tends to be a busy game, so I bet both teams score goals.

Both Teams Score

This time, I decided to go for bet options that are not too valuable, but they have in mind the most probable outcome. Hopefully, I-ll get some profits out!
118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A superstitious strategy? on: January 08, 2023, 12:40:54 PM
Most gamblers must have went through this, sometimes luck appears to be your side specially in games like casino war or dice.

Today, morning I was playing casino war, I just use martingale - I know it's lame strategy. But I won most of time.

Then later at noon, luck just didn't appear to be on my side. A constant losses with win every once in a while to recoup the losses and then losing streak, all funds gone.

Now, let's be some superstitious and say, if you play only when luck appears to be on your side, would you call that a good strategy?

What makes a player a good player, is the way he deals with losses and winnings, and the way he applies different strategies and techniques to tackle luck the most he can. Basically, in order to have a professional approach to gambling, you should always try to isolate luck the most you can and only allow yourself to gamble when there is enough statistical data to guide you to a good decision. Of course that some games are almost only based on luck, so these are the ones an experienced gambler should avoid.

At least, this is how I see things. We can translate everything into an equation, and when you cannot turn a moment in the game into an equation, it's a red flag and a sign that you should drop off.
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Are Players Going To Trust Casinos If They Don't Show Solid Evidence on: January 08, 2023, 12:30:25 PM
There are accusations that have or cannot be resolved because they always ended up with your words against their words, players show screenshots of your proofs and even take up or accept KYC but in casinos cases, they just hold on to their words that the player has cheated, manipulated or exploited a bug without showing strong evidence like screenshots of the log they just hiding in their defense that they cannot show proofs and add further to protect the integrity of their platform, so the accusations remain open.
Many casino's defenses are like that.

Usually, when there is a dispute between a player and a casino where a lot of cash is involved, Casinos will do everything to prove they are right and will hold up with the player's funds until they solve the process. This is a dull process that only affects the player. Unfortunately, Casinos have their ToS's in place to keep them protected against this sort of issue. Bear in mind that the final user is always the weakest link and when in disputes, casinos tend to have their way.
