I think some signiture campagin and bounties is a scam and spam theres a lot of thing need to learn about it
And another question please... how we can deal with it if a signiture campagin is a scam?
You can do nothing, they have in the rules, that they don´t have to pay bounty hunters for their work if they don´t reach soft cap and so on..

There are currently: 1993947 users registered here. I'd suggest that's probably about 100000-200000 people (as one user probably has an average of 10-20 alts I'd reckon based on what I've witnessed here).
I assume the majority have used their signature for something. At least half will be in some sort of signature/bounty campaign I assume.
There will now be a greater amount of Jr Members and Newbies that are just stuck where they are (if they write bad posts then they won't get any merit and won't be able to go up in rank).
Signature campaigns are quite a good way at keeping good quality posters at the forum, but if campaign managers don't moderate it too well, this is where the massive amount of spam comes from as users get free money for writing useless posts.
There are already fewer signature campaigns for newbie and Jr members, however, bounty campaigns still include them sometimes so that might lead to a larger amount of spam. There are more veteran members who spam but they usually care more about their accounts than a brand new member will as a brand new member can just ditch their account.
Wow, it is real that every person has an average of 10 accounts? It is not against the rules? They are using their multi accounts only for signature campaigns right?

You have asked too many questions Hello, please how many people are using bitcointalk forum? Take 2,009,932 registered accounts, delete 1,103,866 accounts with no sign on for 90 days, no posts and no trust and that leaves us with 906,066 active accounts. archiveBut probably there are more accounts than real people. - yes of-course. Many people have more than one alt accounts, publicly declared or even non declared who cares. is there any statistics about new members? - Sure there will be as it's a database driven site. Question is how to get access. How many of all members wear signature and are registered in signature campaigns? - Hard to say. May be the system can tell how many are wearing signature but that does not mean that this will be a correct stats. There are many members including me not wearing a paid signature. I am sure these should not count as bounty hunting. If everyone will do bounty and signature, then there will be no future, right? - What makes you think like that? Please us to understand your dimension. Thank you for your reply! I mean that it is nonsense if everyone would do bounties and signatures.. There won´t be investors for these ICOs, because everyone will earn "free" tokens..

Merit is probably good decision, because there are a lot of new members here, who want only earn here, but I think that required merit is pretty high.

Hello, please how many people are using bitcointalk forum? I have heard that there are registered about 2 million accounts. But probably there are more accounts than real people. I see that there are many junior and newbies accounts, probably they are quite new, so is there any statistics about new members? I think most of them only want to earn here. How many of all members wear signature and are registered in signature campaigns?
I just wondering about the future of this forum, the signature campaigns and the bounties. If everyone will do bounty and signature, then there will be no future, right?

Merit system is introduced to nullified low quality posts in the forum. but something is going exactly opposite to this. I am seeing more rubbish posts, as everyone is trying to make more and more posts which shows the insecurity among them. As they all wants to show on the top of the discussion where they have a little opportunity of getting merit points. Do merit system really make a difference in this forum?
Yes, thats my words, there are people who dont care about merit and will get stuck on junior member for the whole life. If they are banned for spam - they will create a new account.

I wish I was joking but this market will take at least 2 years to recover and build momentum again. Market fundamentals have changed!
Yeah? And from what source comes this information? It is only thoughts based on nothing? Maybe it can be true, but probably not.

As of january 2018, the eth price reaches its peak for about $1000, but it is very opposite as of now. The price of ethereum keeps dropping every week. Is it possible that ethereum will soon reach $200 for this market bloodbath?
Probably yes, nobody knows, if bitcoin reach 2000$, then ethereum will surely reach 200$ and we will start rising again from the bottom. Hope this price would be bottom.

It's a Very Struggling time for Cryptocurrencies. The Market Goes down approx 10 to 15 Percent. Bitcoin Drop down $7k, On the other Hand, Ethereum goes down $400.
Yeah, when we saw news like: Bitcoin is bubble, we laughed. Now comes the reality, we have to wait and it will recover.

Implications for Armory cold storage methods? Why the Security of USB Is Fundamentally Broken Computer users pass around USB sticks like silicon business cards. Although we know they often carry malware infections, we depend on antivirus scans and the occasional reformatting to keep our thumbdrives from becoming the carrier for the next digital epidemic. But the security problems with USB devices run deeper than you think: Their risk isn’t just in what they carry, it’s built into the core of how they work. Why isn't MSC on a widely used exchange? XCP is on Bter and Poloniex. Is there a technical difference between XCP and MSC that limits MSC to MasterXchange? What is the Mastercoin Foundation and CEO doing to promote wider participation and trading in MSC?

I'm not sure if this has been posted: Overstock.com itself began accepting Bitcoin shortly after his interview with News BTC late last year. Mr. Byrne was the keynote speaker at "Bitcoin 2014" this month and boldly claimed that Overstock.com, which is a publicly traded company on NASDAQ, is mulling a dual listing for his company's shares on decentralized exchange on the Bitcoin Blockchain e.g. CounterParty. Devs,
I have tried to access my old Counterwallet in order to sweep the remaining balance to my new Counterwallet, but am not able to login to my old Counterwallet despite multiple attempts. I am sure I used the correct 12 word passphrase. Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
Sorry I'm not a dev, but did you click the link for the old counterparty wallet on the counterparty wallet page first? Issue is resolved.

Why do you call these "Mastercoin posts"? I see no connection to the developers or foundation. Perhaps I'm missing something.

Is this a moderated thread? If so, can someone please ban the clown Bellebite2014 already? Thank you.

I have the solution. Create consensus to rename units as follows:
1 BTC --> becomes 1 Satoshi (the largest unit named in honor of the inventor) 1 mBTC --> becomes 1 BTC

thanks for the reply.
"sudo apt-get update" is not available on an offline computer.
Instead, I searched for and found the previous version of Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS. It works with this version, but not the most recent updated version 12.04.04 LTS.

Dear Armory developers:
I'd appreciate any feedback on the below problem.
1) I installed a fresh version of
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32-bit
on an offline computer.
2) I then attempted to install
Version 0.90-beta Offline Bundle for Ubuntu/Debian 12.04-32bit
using the steps outline on the Armory website.
3) When running in terminal, all went smoothly until I received several error messages noting dependency issues.
For example:
dpkg: error processing libqt4-designer (--configure): dependency problems -- leaving unconfigured
python-qt4 is not configured yet
4) Note: I have previously installed Version 0.90-beta Offline Bundle for Ubuntu/Debian 12.04-32bit on the same computer a month ago without any problem. The only possible difference is Ubuntu version has been upgraded and is now 12.04.4 and was previously 12.04.3.
5) Note 2: I performed all of the above steps on a completely different offline computer and had the exact same result -- python-qt4 dependency problems.
6) This leads me to ask: Has there been some recent change to the Version 0.90-beta Offline Bundle for Ubuntu/Debian 12.04-32bit which is now causing it to lack all of the necessary dependencies to install properly? Or some recent change to Ubuntu 12.04 causing the problem?
Thank you for any feedback!!

I was finally able to verify the file.
I had to take these extra steps not outlined on the website:
/Downloads cd armory_0.90-beta...OfflineBundle...12.04-32bit
/Downloads/armory_0.90-beta...OfflineBundle...12.04-32bit$ dpkg-sig --verify *.deb
This is the output:
GOODSIG _gpgbuilder 821F122936BDD565366AC36A4AB16AEA98832223 1385490545
QUESTION: the last group of numbers is slightly different than the numbers on the Armory webpage:
GOODSIG _gpgbuilder 821F122936BDD565366AC36A4AB16AEA98832223 1353699840
Is there any issue? I assume the numbers I got are for a different Offline bundle. Please advise.
Thanks for your help!!
