I trade on HitBTC - I have no complaints at all. There is always a couple of hundred monero very close to spot and it seems to replenish very quickly allowing for substantial purchases with out moving the price at all.

Still no answer to what your risk of ruin is?

I tell you what I'll give you a hint it's greater than zero.

What level of education have you reached in Mathematics/ Statistics because you seem to have a very basic lack of understanding of either of these two things.
104  Economy / Securities / Re: Bitcoinprivatebank 5% weekly on: August 20, 2014, 07:46:11 AM
Can you please also explain how you choose bet sizes, do you use the Kelly Criterion and if so please explain how you arrive at your answer.
105  Economy / Securities / Re: Bitcoinprivatebank 5% weekly on: August 20, 2014, 07:44:23 AM
Every post you make shows a greater and greater lack of understanding of what you are doing.

What is your risk of ruin?

What is the min/max bet you can place?

106  Economy / Securities / Re: Bitcoinprivatebank 5% weekly on: August 20, 2014, 07:34:23 AM
For those of you who don't know what a Martingale technique is - it essentially means he starts off betting small if he loses he increases his bet size so that if he wins on the second round of bets he turns a tiny profit. This process continues every time he loses a hand until  eventually he wins one.

The only way this strategy works is with UNLIMITED money and NO MAX BET set by the house.

Obviously no casino in the world digital or real is foolish enough to allow this strategy to work.

Sooner or later this guy will run bad and lose everything that is the only certainty with this strategy.

I have made my living as a professional poker player for nearly a decade it is my job to understand probability and game theory. I beg all of you please do not let yourself be scammed by this idiot.

In a fair game, no matter how small the house edge is, it matters because that is the vig. That is the amount of money that you will lose on average no matter what strategy you employ.

This thread is one of the worst attempts I have ever seen at a blatant outright SCAM.

Please humour me however and explain how you and your friends have managed to re-write the rules of statistics and turn a profit in a game with a house edge.

Thank you.

There is one way your gonna sell the 500BTC of bonds you want to and that is by explaining in detail the current financial, mining and legal situation of LRM.

How many coins are currently in the 'buy new hardware fund'?

What happens if you only sell 10BTC of contracts, 100BTC, 250BTC etc?

When will new hardware be delivered?

Have you received the refund from BFL yet? Is that money going towards new equipment? If not what is happening with it?

Come on Zach, we played ball and switched to the new contracts - take a deep breath and fully explain LRM's current situation and then we can all properly evaluate your offering and maybe we will finally see it for the good news that you said it was going to be.
110  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: August 18, 2014, 07:30:53 AM
So just to be clear, Zach. Your saying that instead of the original agreed upon amount of 25% for expenses you are actually taking closer to 50% and not using any of the extra acquired coins for buying more hardware?

Leaving LRM with out any way to buy new hardware with out issuing more bonds which nobody will buy due to the convoluted nature of the contract?

How many bitcoins worth of contracts have been sold since you posted your great news and launched your 'flashy' new website?

Monero

How did 'I've got great news coming' turn into ' I have no money and am gonna try and sell more contracts to further dilute your already under performing contracts.'

One day you will realise honesty and transparency in business is a superior strategy.
113  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: August 15, 2014, 07:29:24 PM
What happens if you don't raise the 500BTC your hoping to? It does seem incredibly optimistic with out being listed on an exchange, the convoluted construction of the contracts and the bonus' and based on performance so far I doubt existing contract holders will be emptying their pockets to buy more.
114  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: August 15, 2014, 02:41:41 PM
So the new contracts for sale take their 100MH/s from the uncontracted pool immediately upon purchase? Or are they subject to a waiting period for the new hardware you plan on purchasing with it?

Also why does your sig say 130 TH/s uncontracted but the cex banner says 107 for the last 24 hours?

It would come from the un-contracted pool and you would immediately receive the benefits.

There was an issue at the mine that is in the process of being resolved.  It should be closer to 150 once everything is perfect again.

So that raises the question... how do any of the numbers posted add up... they just don't...

If 17.7 TH/s is contracted... and 130 TH/s is bonus... why is the bonus only ~ 2X the payout of the contracted? Does discretionary really mean you are just keeping 75% of it for LRM?

I mean... if 17.7 TH/s = Per Contract: BTC 0.00002004 = ~ BTC 0.00000113 per contract per TH/s

Then how the hell does 130 TH/s = Per contract: BTC 0.00003937 = ~ BTC 0.00000030 per contract per TH/s

and of course... that will only diminish per contract as more are sold.

Shouldn't bonuses have been something nearer BTC 0.00014719 per contract? Why does LRM get to keep the coins earned by the "uncontracted" hashrate the contract holders ultimately paid for themselves?

That's a very good question. I was expecting this news to be that a large order has been placed with the funds that have been saved over the last while.  To find out that you are keeping 75% of the hash power and still trying to raise funds to pay for the new order doesn't make any sense.

500BTC is roughly $250,000 you said you can buy hardware at 25-75c /Gh and that the mine would expand 4 or 5 fold. Well that means you are only using the 500BTC you hope to raise to buy new hardware.

You won't sell 10BTC worth of bonds unless you lay out exactly what is going on with this.

I watched the chat and the functionality really looks impressive. Overall it feels simple but has some quite advanced functionality. Really quite impressive- well done guys, can't wait for the release.

Is there a website/formula where I can input my machines details to see if it is worth mining Monero?

120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero (XMR) Speculation thread on: August 05, 2014, 11:29:10 AM
looks like maybe one person just hit the wrong number on the keypad. 63 Monero were sold at 0.08 Definitely an all time high for Monero right in the middle of a large downswing. Jeez that guy must be mad at himself right now!
