101  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Where do I get free Bitcoin? The maintained list of verified free Bitcoin Sites. on: March 19, 2014, 12:02:45 AM
Has anybody heard of http://www.bitcoinplus.com/ or is more experienced than myself and could check it out to see if it seems legit? The premise is letting miners use your computer's power and generating small amounts of BTC for yourself the longer you are on there. Thanks in advance for any answers.

@Portnoy have you ever heard of this site? Has anybody else? It sounds promising for a beginner such as myself who is trying to build up my BTC, but I have no real idea as to its legitimacy and the technical side of how that's possible.

It seems to be a web miner. It seems to be legit, but the fact it's mining BTC on a CPU using Java (all three factors decrease your payout) it doesn't give anything near the amount required to pay the electricity, provided you'll get enough to even withdraw.
If you would like to mine coins, I would suggest downloading GUIminer scrypt instead and mine scrypt coins (preferrably Litecoin because it is the largest and most stable of all altcoins). Then, depending on your computer and electricity provider, you will probably go plus (although it's still not guarranteed). However, with this method you will still earn hundreds if not thousands more coins than with the site you linked.

I wouldn't recommend Craptsy. Personally, I have used CoinedUp and they have been working great. I have also heard lots of good stuff about Cryptorush. There is also Poloniex, which is not as stable and has allegedly been hacked and lost 13% of their BTC, but I've used them both pre and post hack and they worked good.

My mac wallet, 1.1.3.0, has been stuck synchronizing with network, at block 45188, last block 8 days ago. I have tried redownloading the wallet and it was no help. Anyone have any ideas?

Delete the blockchain (but make sure you back up wallet.dat first) then try starting the Reddcoin client again.

indeed that should help.  Just make sure your wallet.dat is really save.
If you delete it - you have a big problem =)

How to delete it on a mac wallet?

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directory#Mac
Just replace Bitcoin with Reddcoin, then once you've found the map delete all the files except wallet.dat (first back up it so you know nothing will happen to it).

If you are using OS X 10.8 or 10.9 and don't know how to find your library folder, check out this: http://www.macworld.com/article/2057221/how-to-view-the-library-folder-in-mavericks.html

By the way, I have released QuickTip v1.2 and it should now be working for the Firefox users that had problems with Reddit earlier.

Also got some stats on Dustbinhead faucet (at last!), and have doubled rewards (now up to 30 satoshis per hit, every 30 mins). See, told you I would.  Kiss

Every time I try it just returns a smiley face and doesn't send anything to my microwallet account.

Aaargh. Stupid annoying WP theme update deleted the Microwallet.php file.

Fixed (and checked), and thanks for letting me know!

Thanks, will re-add it to the list.

Did you miss my post? DailyFreeBitcoin still seems to be on the list.

DailyFreeBitcoin seems to be down, lol

This one isn't paying out even though it has BTC available (apparently) Scam?

http://www.dailyfreebits.com/faucet

I just received a 150 µBTC payout to my Microwallet address.

EDIT: I would like to tip about http://datafaucet.info/. It pays out relatively much (2 µBTC in average), but the downside is that it has quite annoying ads. I can confirm their payout, though (my second payout from them).
108  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what do you call the money you plan to use for day-trading? on: March 15, 2014, 01:43:06 AM
You should immediately move away all the coins that you aren't using for day trading, if you don't want to risk losing it all.

There has been a lot of video captchas on Solvemedia recently. Can you watch normal Youtube videos?
111  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling ads space. Adbit.co vs a-ads.com on: March 13, 2014, 05:44:59 PM
Hm..But there is a lot advertiser who using CoinURL?  Because I think that most popular is adbit and a-ads at this time or I wrong?

If there is someone that lacks advertisers, it's A-Ads and not CoinURL.
112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Selling ads space. Adbit.co vs a-ads.com on: March 13, 2014, 05:40:12 PM
I dont really know whats mean impressions

It pays per page view instead of per click.

So its good way to have ads space for a-ads if it pays for page view.

No, because it pays so little. CoinURL pays way more (60-500 µBTC for a single click).

If you run a high traffic site, I'd say Adbit. If you don't have much traffic, getting people pay for space on your website could be very hard and therefore I would then recommend A-ads. However, if you can use CoinURL it is superior in my opinion.

1. What amount of traffic should be termed as high traffic ?

2. CoinURL does not pay for impression. Only CPC.

Did he say he wanted for impressions? Because even though CoinURL only pays for clicks, according to my own experience you still get a lot more bitcoins from it than A-Ads.
115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where to look for advertisers? on: March 13, 2014, 03:59:25 PM
If you want to pay in Bitcoin, there are a couple of alternatives:
CoinURL (both normal ads and for URL shortening similar to Adfly)
Adbit.co
A-Ads
Daily Bitcoins

Also some PTC sites where you could potentially advertise your sites:
CoinAd
Bitvisitor
BTCClicks
VisitBit
BitToClick
BTCJams

Reposting this because Hash.so is currently at 58%, so I repost this so hopefully more will notice.

To those mining at Hash.so

If you are still mining at Hash.so, please switch pool immediately, Hash.so has had more than 50% of the Reddcoin computer power more than once and this could potentially hurt Reddcoin. Here are some good alternatives where you can mine:

https://rddpool.com/
http://rdd.hashbros.org/
https://rdd.united-miners.com/ (I don't suggest this site because they also control a large part of the computer power, but it's still better than hash.so)

118  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to encrypt wallet.dat on: March 12, 2014, 10:26:10 PM
You can use Bitcoin-qt's encryption (Settings -> Encrypt wallet), 7-Zip encryption or AxCrypt. Bitcoin-Qt's encryption is easiest and that's the one I'd recommend.

If you are going for a faucet, it would be nice with something unique and not just your average Microwallet faucet Wink

I will try two faucets, one will be from Microwallet (sorry, I have to try) and another will be different!

What I meant was that I don't mind if you go for Microwallet, but if you do at least make it somewhat special with something that stands out.
