101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero Support on: September 24, 2015, 09:15:15 PM
can someone explain to me whats the rave about monero? last i heard there isn't even a gui for it and everything is command line? but it seems to have alot of user buzz around it. was monero made by one of the bitcoin core devs?

Here's a good place to start reading: https://forum.getmonero.org/1/news-announcements-and-editorials/209/editorial-what-s-so-special-about-monero

is there a write up on cryptonote vs coin shuffling? whats the pros/cons of each. i think that would be great for both communities to find out.

Ethereum Price Technical Analysis – Make it or Break it

Can it be broken?
The Ethereum price was seen struggling many times to break a crucial bearish trend line formed on the hourly chart. There were at least 6-7 attempts to clear the highlighted trend line, but every time buyers take the price higher, they fail to...

How much ether is mined in a day? Find that out then multiply it by the price and you get the exact total demand needed in USD a day in order to sustain the price. Lets assume all ether miners just dump once its mined.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poll result: NXT is a proper cryptocurrency on: September 23, 2015, 05:25:05 AM
Hey, iCEBREAKER, what is that story about you and cypherdoc scamming people for 50 million USD with help of HashFast? Aren't you just trying to hide from angry customers in this thread?

Edit: Never mind, found it - https://www.google.com/webhp#q=iCEBREAKER+cypherdoc+hashfast+scam

Scam confirmed.

I don't get it. What happen?
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 20, 2015, 03:32:06 AM
first, wipe the foam from your mouth, take a deep breath ( or take a look here, maybe this helps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnJJ2fojawE )
and do whatever you want. i don't care as i said before and if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

NMF you can't RTFA, and are so stupid you think BitFury, KnC, and Eligius are tiny and Chinese.

WARNING: NXT is an insta-mined closed-source scam-coin for issuing scam-assets!

Do you think ^that is good enough to be my new sig?

-- Nxt has been open sourced for awhile already ... http://burstcoin.info/ -- these guys seem to have taken the nxt Source and made their own system with it.

i wonder whats your agenda spreading this misinformation... obviously your a smart crypto user having that you had the ability to post 1000+ times on this forum.

my guess is, your also a secret nxt bagholder along with the other coins in your sig. the agenda, im not sure. possibly to reverse troll to attract nxt attention? from what i realized if a coin truely sucked, the best way to kill it is just keep the "silence" and not post about it.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 19, 2015, 05:17:27 PM

Must be a pretty darn good elaborate scam to be featured on Forbes.com.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT coin - A total scam? on: September 16, 2015, 05:35:51 PM
its best for newbies to decipher all the noise and just look into it themselves. good starting point is this thread comparing all the 2.0 platforms: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1153740.0
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The 2.0 throwdown thread on: September 16, 2015, 05:33:58 PM
Hi jwinterm,

Nice table so far.  Smiley
I like it.

Here are some more things on Nxt.

You can add in centralized apps:
http://melodius.me/
It an itunes type website that used the Nxt decentralized marketplace.

Nxt has also a built-in wallet decentralized Monetary system:
http://nxt.org/about/monetary-system/

The last one is, afaik, an unique feature of Nxt.

Thank you.

Will try to update and add melodius soon, Sebastien256. What's the difference between NXT monetary system and assets in other platforms? Not sure I see distinction...

if you dive deeper into MS, there are certain things you cannot do vs assets. some just off the top of my head are:

Monetary System:
- Create Minable coins based off of (sha256/scrypt/keccka) as a way for distribution. (think sidechains)
- Crowdfunding
- Prevent the ability to exchange a coin with others except the owner

-- One scenario that can be played out is that one of the MScoins could potentially be worth more than nxt coins. Which will therefore solve the "initial distribution" people keep complaining about. If one of the mscoins were to be a main coin, and leave nxt coin as a "transaction" toll fee payment only. it can leave out  all the speculators that doesn't provide any improvement into the system and a potentially evolve the community into using this new coin instead of nxt. just an idea for now.

You can use my account to test out nxt features on testnet.
go here: http://goo.gl/sS96ue -- use the pass 321 -- if its empty i'll refill it.

Also this version i'm developing on is mobile responsive ready. so you can use it on your phone. i dont believe any other Core wallet is accessible using a smartphone with this many features. its still being worked on so its not 100% functional on every tab yet.

you should also add a new column for "mobile responsive ready?"... thats a major factor if you can access the core wallet on the phone or not.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 16, 2015, 05:32:14 PM
there's no basic use case for nxt. no one has made an easy to use application yet that doesn't already exists centralized to increase adoption.. this goes for any coin.

Conapult for nxt would be quite interesting.... Lock the value of nxt to btc or USD.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there any Ripple dev support? on: September 15, 2015, 09:36:48 PM
what is ripple doing now a days anyways?
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NXT coin - A total scam? on: September 15, 2015, 05:38:32 PM
this is actually really good for devs building on top of a platform and not just speculating the coin.

cheap nxt = cheaper entry point in building out a service that sits on top of nxt.

if we looked at it from a platform perspective, its a different mindset.
114  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Jumblr - decentralized bitcoin mixer with 0.1% fee on: September 15, 2015, 03:31:32 PM
let me get this straight. this requires use of 3 block chains? btcd, btc, and nxt? so do we have to download all 3 blockchains on our local to utilize this decentralized coinshuffling?
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Opinion on Ethereum a month after. on: September 14, 2015, 10:45:17 PM
this can very well turn out to be like the browser wars once the dust settles and each platform gets the time to mature.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What? Yall thought InstantDEX/SuperNET/BitcoinDark/NxT/jl777 were scams? on: September 14, 2015, 10:41:14 PM
That logo has got to be one of the absolute worst I've seen in crypto.

Other than that, looks great.

agree.. logo needs something slicker... i say go with this:

http://99designs.com/pricing

get the tier 3 so you know your getting a quality designer for the new instantdex logo.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 14, 2015, 10:39:44 PM
can someone list out some of the pros/cons of nxt vs bitshares. i dont think its documented anywhere.
118  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Joinmarket - Coinjoin that people will actually use on: September 14, 2015, 07:22:53 PM
i wonder if this concept can be combined into the Multigateway project?
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 13, 2015, 06:03:13 PM
They all are good platforms. Just which one will the big boys adopt?
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone still think NXT is a scam? on: September 12, 2015, 06:02:59 PM
