This is a very effective idea and a genuine working and innovative usage in block chain and Crypto world.This project can be applicable to real life and Biggest concern currently is the security which the Bitfence covers it by detecting and protecting the users from authorized hacks.I am very excited to be part of this successful team and absolutely sure this can be a breakthrough and make way for many exciting things to come. As i know that the blockchain is safe and the hackers usually aiming smart contracts, so do you mean by protecting against hacking that your work will be around safing smart contracts?
Good question! If smart contract has vulnerability, we cant do much about that since it's already in the blockchain. What we can do, is to block access to the interfaces used to communicate with contract. For web it is simple, but possibly it can be integrated with full node wallets as well. |

Thank you! In few words, BitFence works similar to police sting operations. We give token reward to our "miners" who run either application or hardware device (tiny RaspberryPI, etc) for being eyes and ears all around globe. Network of miners create decentralized honeypot. Hackers mistakenly think they penetrate some valuable system, but instead they hit honeypot, which collects all information about attack and reports it to server. Server processes that, sends coins to miner and reported malicious threat included in a threat feed delivered to all our subscribers, so they can block it. |
