link to casino and use your real username if you are going to call out someone as a scammer
102  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / What is your guess on how long the Antminer S1 will be profitable for? on: March 20, 2014, 02:49:34 AM
I figure 13% diff increase would make it profitable till end of December but total profit would be less than 1 btc (.998btc purchase price). I guess the gamble is diff decrease or BTC price increase in that timeframe.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: KNC ASIC SCRYPT MINER... WHAT??? on: March 20, 2014, 02:18:28 AM
Sounds good but pre-order is not acceptable to be honest. If delivered in December then my 100 Gridseeds will have been mining for 10 months already and made more than $10k.......

I will take a look when they have a prototype......

That is quite the assumption on current payout. In another 2 months we could be making .002btc/ghash
104  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: 100 Gh/s KNC Mercury & 200 Gh/s (OC) Bitmain Antminer S1 on: March 19, 2014, 02:31:29 PM
For 3 BTC you can buy 3 new S1's
105  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Easy way to cool Antminer S1 on: March 19, 2014, 04:02:48 AM
I still have temps of 33/31 this fan blows incredible cfm so there must be something similar at more reasonable cost.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MED way more profitable than bitcoin block erupter usb earning about 20x more on: March 19, 2014, 03:55:06 AM

109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: WHERE IS ALL THE MONEY GOING? on: March 18, 2014, 03:36:23 AM
well people are playing the gambling game and most lost. We are at a low in alt coins and if it bounces back and it should assuming no major media witch hunt the price/btc should rise. Weed out the week coins and keep decent ones. The market needs to be consolidated but the asics are here and I am sure their hash rate on top of the bazillion gpus sold since december lead to lots of coins and not many takers. Doge has been kinda stable and two  months ago never thought LTC would be near the top coin. At the very least we can fall back on that.
110  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Easy way to cool Antminer S1 on: March 18, 2014, 03:24:44 AM
if anything it is 26+ watts higher since the fan is a beast. At .1 kwatts/hr that is $2.60 a month. I will do further testing but this thing is loud as a jet engine so not for your room. This is rated at 190 cfm so something in the 120 range should be more than enough. No need to flip the cards and strap crappy fans on it. Who knows maybe in long run I will get fewer HW errors . Yes my snapshot is at like .5% but small sample.
111  Bitcoin / Hardware / Easy way to cool Antminer S1 on: March 18, 2014, 03:06:17 AM
A bit overkill but works great and easy and it appears the latest S1's with this fan only use 415watts (killAWatt at wall). I used PSU to power the delta so you see stock fan below.

1. buy this:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835213001

2. reverse stock fan to blow out (push pull or just remove)

3. Install delta fan

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ASUS 280x coming back from RMA. Sell it or mine? on: March 18, 2014, 02:39:41 AM
I have 7 cards running now all asus dc2t or whatever it is called. This card would need to go on my open air rig with 5 cards already. Since alt coin market is down it may be a waste to mine with it since ROI is like 110 days ($330 sell price: mining $3 dollars/day after electricity).

BTW they are sending brand new card to replace it.

Anyone in same boat?
113  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: I dont pay for power. What type of rig would you build? on: March 14, 2014, 07:02:56 PM
Suppose you have a 75 watt panel and you use up 62 amps of it for mining that is 7500watts. At .1 kw/h your landlord would get a $750 electrical bill and probably kill you. Realistically on a 15 amp breaker you can run 1700watts +-. That gives you plenty of room to mix and match asic rigs.

I wouldn't go crazy as it is better not to get the landlord after you and you could still make some great profits.
114  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: USA's largest mining farm? 1 petahash making 8 million a month (see the vid) on: March 13, 2014, 05:23:51 PM
Lulllz look at the guys hash rate from that interview:

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I need really you guy's help. on: March 13, 2014, 04:34:28 PM
What video card and what cgminer settings are you running? A screenshot of your cgminer would help as well. Anyways you are probably getting hardware errors "HW" on cgminer shouldn't have any numbers after it. Try to lower the -I setting until the HW errors go away.
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / 10 Gridseeds = 195 days ROI on: March 11, 2014, 02:45:42 PM
This is based on 3300 khash, $2500 inital cost and using coinwarz at $13/day since you are not going to get the top amount every day. This doesn't even account for down time and is an optimistic guess assuming market doesn't change.

With that said the alt coin market is going through a rough spot and I am just going to hope some miners give up so I can get cheap equipment.
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 280X on: March 11, 2014, 02:36:31 PM
While mining it uses around 250watts undervolted (1.1-1.15v). I used killAwatt meter to measure this at the wall.
118  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining Profitability on: March 11, 2014, 01:38:33 PM
sell your equipment and get some of your ROI back. Did you make anything off the avalon?
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 6 GPU Sapphire Tri-X R9 290 OC (non-x) Rig on: March 08, 2014, 06:00:34 PM
Don't go with what the graphics cards usually draw. You will be hashing, so peak loads is what you will be needing to look at. A list of peak loads can be found here: http://forum-en.msi.com/faq/article/power-requirements-for-graphics-cards

Multiple the A (Ampere) with the V (Volts) to get the W (watts).

In your case, the 290 hogs up 31 Amperes through the 12 Volt rails. So at peak load, it would consume 31 x 12 = 372 Watts each.

Also Don't forget to allocate some power for the motherboard, RAM and HDD... about 150 Watts should be fine.

Most decent PSU are 80% efficiency. That means you will draw up 1200W from the wall if you are using a 1000W PSU. You ca use that as a rough calculation to estimate your electricity costs.

This is incorrect! Hashing does not use peak power consumption. Please use Kill A Watt metter and my 280x's undervolted use about 235-250 watts while hashing. If you plan 300 for each 290= 1800w and 250 for mobo = 2050w. Maybe give some more headroom above that if you want but I doubt you will need it especially if you are not overclocking your CPU.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [SOLVED] Radeon 280X Toxic (mining) and nVidia GTX570 (gaming) - same rig on: March 07, 2014, 06:48:53 PM
Can you tell me how you got both cards running on the same box? I didn't think you could mix them like that. I only have a single monitor and maybe that is the problem. I assume you install both sets of drivers and thats it?
