101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency - many coin - wow - v1.2 Released on: December 26, 2013, 12:08:02 AM
Maybe it's the person who stole DOGE from everyone at dogewallet.com.

Don't use online wallets or you ask to get scammed (by the owner or some "hacker").

+1. I store mine offline on my Linux USB about once a week. Got TrueCrypt on that mofo too, in case the USB drive is lost/stolen. Makes it really easy to make quick copies of the USB for redundancy.

wow, someone is selling 31 mil doges @ 85 satoshi on cryptsy..

Maybe it's the person who stole DOGE from everyone at dogewallet.com.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogecoin Pool doge.scryptpools.com - 0.5% fee on: December 24, 2013, 05:22:30 PM
Well, I wish you weren't leaving my pool but I can't stop you. Good luck at the other pools to those who left.

Those who are staying, I will get the lag fixed.

I am a human, I do need to sleep. I'm awake now and working on the server.

Those who have been here for some time know I fix the problems, and payouts will always happen.

No worries and I'm sorry for being panicky. I've only used your pool for about four days so I don't know you or the site that well. It's been a great pool with the exception of the last several hours. There's been almost nothing but 504 errors all day and a bunch of stratum disconnects. I'll switch back.

I've also had problems with Cryptsy all morning at the worst time, so that didn't help my mood. I finally got my coins out of there though.

Thanks for the hard work, and glad you could get some sleep :p.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogecoin Pool doge.scryptpools.com - 0.5% fee on: December 24, 2013, 04:56:30 PM
I guess that I should have read the thread before mining here. So the automatic and manual payouts aren't working for anyone since...?

no its worse, manual is also not working

i switched to http://doge.cryptoculture.net/

I moved to dogehouse.org
1% fee, bigger pool with 2.5GH total at the moment. Seems to be working well.

+1

Plus the potential to get 500,000 DOGE once it reaches 3GH/s.

Happy dance.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogecoin Pool doge.scryptpools.com - 0.5% fee on: December 24, 2013, 04:37:15 PM
This pool had 10k minimum auto payment threshold, and even that failed.

Oh that's right. I forgot about the minimum. I had mine set at 75,000 which is high for me since I'm at 3.6 MH/s. Fortunately I did a manual last night and only have 20,000 left in there. I should've had it set to 10,000 though.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogecoin Pool doge.scryptpools.com - 0.5% fee on: December 24, 2013, 04:30:32 PM
This experience has taught me to set automatic payouts to a very low number (an amount you'd earn within 30 minutes to an hour) to mitigate the risk of lost coins due to pool problems or shutdown. I used to set the threshold high to avoid the fee, but the fee is miniscule.

Once you realize the automatic payments stop working, immediately stop and point to another pool and wait to see what happens.

Actually can someone explain to me how crypsty works?

Say there is a buy order of 1m @100 satoshi, and 1m @ 110 satoshi.

There is someone selling at 90 satoshi.

Which orders get fulfilled first?

All I can say is, stay away from Cryptsy at all costs.

Everyone report these spam posts. It's the only way we'll get rid of them. Also, he says he's only received 23 coins yet a couple pages back at least three people sent him 500+, so it's also a scam.

I deposited doge into Cryptsy at 12:45AM last night. It has 446 confirmations and still hasn't moved to the available column.

Just horrible all around.

New accounts should probably be disabled until the site is able to handle more miners. It seems to be getting worse. Current round is 1+ hours now when it really shouldn't take longer than 25 minutes.

I'm waiting on Cryptsy to refund my cancelled orders before I move to Vircurex.

For those that have already withdrawn, did it take Cryptsy a long time to send?

Last time i have withdrawn, it took 5h to get my coins...

That's f'ing bs. I'm never using Cryptsy again, unless no other exchange carries a particular coin.

When current asking price is 67, why would someone sell at 64 - 66? Are they trying to push/keep the price down?

The ask is the selling price.  If the bid is 64-66 then that's what the buyers are willing to pay.

I got it backwards. There were buy orders for 67, but someone was putting in sell orders for 64-66. It looked like they were trying to bring down the price.

I try this out for the first time and within 30 minutes I lose connection.

Still unable to connect an hour later.

What's the deal?

How is it possible to "counterfeit" Bitcoin? "Illegally generating"? Hmm.

Quote
German police have arrested two people suspected of illegally generating Bitcoins worth nearly $1 million.

...

Prosecutors in the German town of Kempten said they are investigating whether people used software to create digital Bitcoins worth 700,000 euros, about $950,000, Bloomberg News reported.

Will the following cards work together in the same rig?

2x - MSI R9 290 - http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=MSI-R929G4
1x - Saphire R9 290 - http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?name=AT-R9-29_4

I read that as long as they're the same series then it doesn't matter who makes them, but I want to confirm since I'm spending $2,000 on this thing.

I'll be using a Rosewell 1300w Gold PSU.
