Thanks for the official update. So the private keys of the wallet are fine, the problem is that a virus was installed along with the wallet. The only blog that I see is missing from your blog is a way to get rid of the virus in case someone is compromised. Ofcourse you cannot advertise a specific anti-virus company so I guess it's up to us the community to help each other on that! For those like me who are not using an anti-virus but want to run a safe cleaning tool, Kaspersky offers a free one and this is the download link: https://www.kaspersky.com/downloads/thank-you/free-virus-removal-toolI've used it on PCs of friends and it has done wonders. Though it's not possible to know if it cleaned 100% of every adware/virus/spyware that might have been working in silence, nothing obvious would happen after it removed the threats. MalwareBytes is a good and free solution too...my question is, if I downloaded 1.6.0 wallet the day it was launched (don't remember when but definietely it was end of june/early july) I should be fine? I don't think Cryptopia uses KYC though. However it's been a long time since I had created an account on them, I might be mistaken. Bittrex requires your ID, that I remember since I helped a friend create an account a few days ago. Cryptopia has a KYC for withdrawals greater than 5000 NZD. Also for some coins they have a big withdraw fee and their wallets are sometimes stuck so you have to wait for days until deposit or withdraw gets cleared. also Binance let you withdraw loads without KYC , cant remember how much but may be as much as $10k worth1? |

For me the price is not the issue, the fact that it ain't America is the issue. The price is also an issue here that one would cough out about $697,500 to buy a 3 bed house? Would that not buy an entire building? I don't get, how people reason that he could just put the advert and someone will come running ready to part away with 92btc without any justification for that whatsoever. I doubt if anyone has that kind of money and wanted to buy such property wouldn't want to do it with swam of lawyers from both ends with government agencies also present to ensure things are going on smoothly. Good luck in finding a buyer. There are plenty of locations in teh US where $700k will barely buy you a shithole. Look at the median price of a house on Manhattan Island, or some of the more sought after locations in and around NY City. In the San Francisco Bay Area you'd be lucky to find a refrigerator box under an overpass with views of Golden Gate Park for that price [/exaggeration]. It's not surprising at all that an upper-crust neighborhood in London would fetch prices like that. I don't see anything in this thread to suggest the seller expects a buyer to send BTC without the due diligence typical of a real estate transaction. i wouldnt call Norbury 'uppercrust neighbourhood'!! May be somewhat middle class but still a shithole!! |

1 little bug , when i load the BTC onto GBP card i get a failed transaction notice but actually the transaction worked.
Is that the BTC transaction to the card or a GBP transaction? Does the app tell you that or does the place trying to spend it tell you that? I'm about to put a fair lump on this card. I'd rather not get the willies doing it. its when swapping BTC to GBP , it goes directly onto the card now. it was pretty obvious that the transaction had worked though if you just leave the page open. |

ok i received and activated my new debit cards thanks Wirex. Noticed my GBP card has a UK sort code and account number , can i use this for GBP transfers in/out??? I also received yesterday and activated this morning my shiny new card. I've also put some EUR onto it (converted from BTC). But at the shop it was "rejected by the bank". Is there anything else I have to do?! Did you make any other step? maybe try at an atm first, see if that works? |
