101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are floppy disks safe to store wallets? on: May 22, 2016, 12:05:47 PM
To my understanding, floppy disks provide the same security measures as USB disks. Except they are a bit more dusty, and floppy Tongue

Keep in mind that you won't be able to access your bitcoins if you ever need them for an emergency situation on most PCs and laptops. Nobody uses floppy disks anymore. As long as you keep it completely offline, it'd be safe. But a USB stick would be way more accessible.

A floppy disk is an ancient USB. Has the same "plug & play" principle, but has alot of storage (32 MB lel) and is floppy!

IIRC a floppy is a strip of magnetic tape. Doesn't seem very good longevity wise.

3.5" floppy disk has a size of 1.44 MB. It's one of the worst ideas of storing any data for long-term  Cheesy
102  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst mistake you did with Bitcoin? on: May 22, 2016, 11:55:43 AM
which makes me still regrets to this day is when I sell some of my bitcoin lot when the price  $ 1,000

Why do you regret it..?? isn't that lucrative for you ..?? . Because you are selling at a price high enough and it can make you enjoy the advantages of both. I think you are less grateful for what you do, the most important now is to avoid a bad thing

Maybe he/she feels sorry for that transaction, if that was relative or friend Wink There is the only situation for that make any sense.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which Investment Type do you Prefer??? on: May 22, 2016, 11:50:37 AM
If I have good amount of money then I would surely invest  my some money in gambling as I know its risky but if it clicks then it can make me rich very soon, if you play with high amount you can also win higher amount.

Gambling is something good too. Some matchs are really easy to predict, like tonight's one. That's free money with near no-limit.

Seriously? I take it you would be willing to sell your house and everything else you own and use the money for the bet? I myself would sell my house without so much as a thought if I knew the outcome of a match with 100% certainty. There is no such thing as a sure bet no matter the odds.

Some matchs like PSG-Troyes in the final of the Coupe de la Lige is an outcome sure at 100%. For this kind of matchs, you can sell your car and buy a better one later.
I think despite the large team play like barcelona or PSG does not mean they will instantly win and secured the win?
because there are any times when they experience less fortunate and defeat?
because not every game every team can win? I've never seen a team that always wins in one season

The only true winner is the person, who bought car Wink There are no 100% sure situations in gambling.
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin dropped to $1, what you do? on: May 03, 2016, 10:13:57 AM
Interests in bitcoin and attention that it created makes price quite impossible to go that low. There are thousands of people, who consider that x is the price worth buying any amount.
105  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2017 Year of the Bitcoin on: May 03, 2016, 10:07:11 AM
This again? Which year hasn't been entitled as a 'Year of Bitcoin' yet? People always have higher expectations in the symbolic moments (beginning/end of something) or when they expect quick and significant profits - they are excited by that perspective.
106  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: April 14, 2016, 08:38:48 PM
I don't think that is possible at a moment as we need to have a higher price to make it possible but right now it seems to be risky to depend only on bitcoin  for living.
to be honest i doubt that it depends on the actual price of the bitcoin right now as people can be paid an equivalent of dollars in bitcoin for work and the issue would be solved easily

i think earning a living with bitcoin is really possible nowadays as people might work some programming job in order to gain some bitcoins from their employers

Right - it's quite easy to have salary expressed in bitcoins while your work value is still measured in USD or any other fiat money currency. But in case of simple conversion like that, can anyone say that he/she is earning bitcoins? Is that really different from exchanging money to BTC on your own after you got your salary in USD?
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin. on: April 14, 2016, 08:06:57 PM
Storing of Bitcoins is against Bitcoin.
No one will offer services for Bitcoin.
Spend Your Bitcoins.
Well, then you should find the infamous Satoshi Nakamoto, and ask him to spend his/her/their 1 million+ coins. :O

The market is not big enough for Satoshi Nakamoto to dump or spend his millions of coins. When there is more support, he will spend it.
If Satoshi dumped/spent all his bitcoins (which is obviously not gonna happen unless he decides to troll), the market would surely go into chaos. Bitcoin value might go down since there are so much stock and it would be easy for everyone to get some.

Majority of people would assume, that (for example) 99$ is enougth to go into game and buy any amount they can. I mean, that BTC wouldn't fall as low as you can imagine, as interests in BTC are getting quite big nowadays.
108  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: April 14, 2016, 07:36:35 PM
I have heard from one of my friend that with bitcoin earning there are a large number of ways available on internet with which if you started to work you will be able to earn your living without any real or part time job and I also heard that with that I can easily support my family.

That is not true unless you have some money to invest or skills to offer to people. It's practically impossible to earn any decent amount of BTC just out of nowhere - every coin in ecosystem had to be earned/mined with some energy, money or work input earlier.
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: April 14, 2016, 07:30:52 PM
Nobody will know what the future will be and that is normal because Bitcoin is a curreny and you never know what will happen with Bitcoin later in the future because it is always changing.
So sometimes you have to take some risks with Bitcoin so you can make later more money with it.

Price fluctuatoin will always follow bitcoin, and the future of bitcoin will depend on the value that it will be holding in future, if price drops then we will loose many users.

So the future of bitcoin depends mainly on it's speculative value? This is not what BTC was intended to be. There are other factors, that can affect BTC popularity and help it's wide adoption.
110  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: April 14, 2016, 07:23:31 PM
My methods to earning a living with bitcoin are always have maximum post on signature campaign, find a giveaway and always joining freeroll poker. That's all free, but you can't earn much from it.
I think the only income of sign camp will not be enough to live in bitcoin. you need a lot of money for food and other purposes. You can not just rely on sign camp for primary income dude
Yeah income from signature campaign is not enough for living, as payouts are not too high and it can only take care of your basic stuffs but I don't think you can live comfortably with it.

Actually someone can make a living from signature campaign but he/she needs to have many high rank accounts. Of course this will be a hard work because he/she needs to spend many hours to make many posts everyday.
But it is not recommended to do it because it will only result in spams.

I'd rather get any regular job than doing full-time massive posts grinding on bitcointalk - can't imagine how exhausting it would be to get even close to any reasonable salary  Roll Eyes
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin busts: Its anonymity made Bitcoin popular among criminals. on: April 13, 2016, 06:58:42 PM
How is the cash money easier to track than bitcoins?  Cheesy I'm afraid, that more retarded articles like this one are waiting for us - why make an effort to learn anything, when you can burn on stake anything you don't understand? Wink
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving is a profitable??? on: April 13, 2016, 06:52:24 PM
Do you think that in this year halving is a profitable???
this is first bitcoin halving,i'm not sure bitcoin halving can give us many benefit,so far i'm not hear from expert that bitcoin price will raise when bitcoin halving come, but i wish the best,

This isn't the first halving.

this is tell you much why the first halving did not get much attention and wasn't a boom like this will probably be, there are still people that think this is the first halving...

It will be interesting thing to watch halving results in such scale like nowadays. As you said, in 2012 halving didn't bother anyone from the bitcoin world, which was far less populated than now Wink

Its really bothering a lot of people these days because they are all thinking its gonna be profitable this year.
Honestly I also think its gonna be profitable by the end of this year.

Such big interest from many people, hoping for quick profit, can change expected market moves. Nothing will happen? Next short bubble? Long-term price gain? Will see.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A teen is given $1K to invest into Bitcoin - what would you recommend for them? on: April 13, 2016, 06:11:27 PM
Too less for serious investing
Too much for risking in gambling/ponzi
Only reasonable way to profit from this amount is to buy and hold, what can be hard when you need to do something now Wink

Its too early for a teen to be invested in such big deals. I think you should give him small amount to invested and see the
outcome. A mature person should do such important deals.

Right, age of the investor is another factor here to be considered. Like you said, it should be treated like pocket money, to learn how to manage bitcoin.

Well besides faucets, low income ,as you must share the health with others, own projects, can make you earn a decent ammmounts these days, besides this ,i believe gambling and trading you taking a high risk all months to get the income from it.

But the fact is income from gambling and trading is not stable and that is a huge risk, you cannot depend on it for living and that also with the current price of bitcoin.

While trading will never be risk-free, it could not be compared to gambling. Sure, if someone is doing trading wrong, it could easily turn into a gamble.
The  point of being a good trader is to minimize risk as much as possible, which requires time, patience, practice, knowledge etc. You can't say similar thing about gambling as in long run you always loose.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In 2010/2011 Bitcoin was really exciting! on: April 13, 2016, 05:56:30 PM
In 2010 most BTC users used to think about it as something, that can change the future. It was completely new idea these days, that had been brought to life. With market value close to zero there was nothing more.
Nowadays, people are also excited, but IMO rather in terms of possible personal financial benefits.

118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Divorce: A Match Made in Heaven? on: April 12, 2016, 07:26:19 AM
You can do the same using paper money. Hiding money from your spouse can also be in gold, paintings, boats, or anything else that has value. Using bitcoin is only a new method to do the same thing.

This is true. And bitcoin is definitely a new tool in hiding money from someone including your spouse

I would say, that cash is more reliable in that purpose, as bitcoin is still quite volatile. What if someone successfully hides his money from his wife, but BTC market price fluctuations will just take everything  Cheesy ?
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum on: April 12, 2016, 07:21:23 AM
No technical advantage would make any coin wider accepted than bitcoin. Any hype depends on devs assertions, that their coin is so revolutionary and bitcoin is obsolete compared to it.
ETH could be profitable at the moment, but only in terms of short-term speculation.

I don't know why the google is publishing this i thought they are against of that. We should report thsr anyone knows here how to do that? Google just taking money not checking the links thats bad we should be aware of these kind of links . And thanks for the information .

That's it. When they have to pay, they are persnickety. But when someone's going to buy anything, they don't care to even check misleading links Roll Eyes Google already has engine that corrects any typos in search terms, why don't they use it that way?
