hello KDCers! Chunky Pools added its klondikecoin pool the other day, and we are looking for some new miners. Look, here's our story. I'm a miner first, pool operator second (although this is quickly changing -- I'm starting to love being a pool op too) and I was frustrated with the current state of pools. Every single pool I tried until I launched my own would have a lot of downtime, the support was nonexistent, etc. So I decided to make my own, and since I have -- and I'm not saying this because I'm biased (I obviously am biased!) -- but it has objectively been a much more stable mining experience. I believe my miners have only fallen to the backup pool for a total of about 10 minutes the entire month of January. I usually respond to support requests within a few minutes. We have SSL for your security, we implement a lot of feature requests, and we have a great community on IRC which is averaging about 70 people at all hours of the day. We have customized MPOS, both its front-end and backend. We have a profit-switching multiport that we are currently beta-testing and tweaking, and we're working on a lot of upcoming features. And we don't even charge a mining fee! The point of me typing all this is to hopefully get our story out and get some new faces around Chunky Pools. Are the devs promoting their affiliated pools above other pools? They're not adding my pool to the list after several PMs, IRC messages, emails. And I've heard the same thing about other pools. That's fucking lame if you ask me. Come join us here. Anyone know how to get a pool on the list in the OP? Does anyone know if they're ignoring the community pools like I suspect they are? I've heard this from a couple other pool admins too. The pool list on reddit is twice as long as the one here, because it has different mods. I PM'd the guy responsible for the OP, I messaged him on IRC, I said something to him on public in IRC while he was active in the channel and still no dice. I even emailed the address in the OP. Playing favorites with pools is pretty fucking lame, guys. Anyway, we've got about 10% of the network without being on the "official" (read: friends with devs) pool list. @Jahare, I think something was going on with Amazon for a small period of time. I noticed the site was down for approx. 1 minute and my miners flipped to backup pool.
