I tried to register and got this message:

Unable to create account: Unable to request email confirmation:

I tried to log in anyway and my account is locked. If I try resetting my password I get this message:

Unable to send mail to your address

i changed the database and updated the installation in the last few hours. Probably you got a bad moment, usually we dont have email confirmations. I am happy to remove your account if you want (just step by on IRC), or you can just create a new one now.

http://bat.p00l.me

There is a problem with registering at your pool, says account is locked

That said I already joined some of the other pools, but just a headsup for you.

thanks for reporting. same as above, we were moving infrastructure.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [LDC][Giveaway]Leadcoin.. 888LDC to give!!!!!!! on: January 09, 2014, 02:00:10 PM
if you want use the linux client
u can type chmod 777 leadcoind before run  start_leadcoind.sh

root@cs:~# cd leadcoin-linux/
root@cs:~/leadcoin-linux# chmod 777 leadcoind
root@cs:~/leadcoin-linux# sh start_leadcoind.sh
Leadcoin server starting
root@cs:~/leadcoin-linux#

I am actually a little dissapointed, you didnt read my the post didnt you?

This is a 64bit binary, this still wont work on my 32bit system. Also i did compile it. And the fazit of the post was that you actually COULD already set the right file permissions, which would make it easier for newbies to install. And mention that this is a 64bit file. Not everybody has 64bit, especially not on linux where you dont need it for more than 4GB ram.

I just was about to set up a pool but it seems it should not be that simple...

if i try to compile it my own (what i usually prefer anyway) i get this:

Code:
$ make -f makefile.unix
Building LevelDB ...
/bin/sh: 1: ./build_detect_platform: Permission denied
make[1]: Entering directory `/home/pool/COINS/leadcoin/src/leveldb'
Makefile:18: build_config.mk: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** No rule to make target `build_config.mk'.  Stop.
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/pool/COINS/leadcoin/src/leveldb'
make: *** [leveldb/libleveldb.a] Error 2

If i use your compiled linux client i get this:

Code:
$ sh start_leadcoind.sh
start_leadcoind.sh: 2: start_leadcoind.sh: ./leadcoind: not found

Code:
$ file leadcoind
leadcoind: ELF 64-bit LSB executable, x86-64, version 1 (GNU/Linux), dynamically linked (uses shared libs), for GNU/Linux 2.6.24, BuildID[sha1]=0xfad5743e9d0e5335992c644bcb1d7e76496efc9d, not stripped

you should probably mention that its an 64bit binary. also you usually would strip a binary before shipping.

I use this machine to compile all the coins, and never had problems until yet.

Anyway, let me get straight. The awesome thing with tar.gz is you can set user rights and they wont be lost like with .zip and .rar. Same goes for github. Basicly all i needed to do was chmod +x leveldb/build_detect_platform

Pool coming soon Smiley

Personally I wouldn't. He has plenty already I would only tip to include a thank you note for his hard work.

exactly this. I wouldnt have enough to honor him anyway
112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My first post as a newbie on: December 17, 2013, 04:36:25 PM
Another "Newbie" here. I am here as enthusiastic programmer and webdev and was a little dissappointed when i could not post in the threads i wanted to. This post is not worthful (like actually a lot in this sub) still i have to  make it just to post somewhere else after it... But yeah spam is a god damn problem not even captcha can solve these days. If one gets 1000 captchas handsolved by poor people for less than a dollar there is actually no chance for a working anti spam protection. The only solution is a global identifing Internet ID... Lol...

Aaaanyway i am just typing words as I hope to  get whitelisted by the bots or whoever else. We may discuss a good anti spam protection meanwhile? Wink
113  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think any of the other "alt" currencies will overtake bitcoin? on: December 17, 2013, 07:51:37 AM
I dont think any coin can overtake bitcoin. As i see it they are all valued by it.
