There just won't be the BTC volume to sustain that value
Sustaining a price is a PoW coin issue. It's a far different scenario when you have little to no miner/dumper coin generation. (reference to QRK after it was 98% mined followed by 3000% rise and even to this day after coming back to Earth it's still up like 1000% compared to where it all started) In the end though, you are right that something is only worth what someone else is willing to pay. The multipool will be the foundation for whatever is to come for this coin. As long as interest is maintained or increased, price will continue to rise. No sustaining a price comes from investors not miners, miners never sustain price they just dump and take the BTC If you guys really think the pool is going to be able to pump out 200 BTC a day to sustain current prices then good luck to you but we should be realistic about this... 200BTC is ALOT to ask for from 1 single source, it's not impossible sure, but consider these factors. You're going to need alot of miners for 200BTC daily average if we take 0.01Btc per 1mh/day which is the general average every miner tries to strive towards for daily profits, you're going to need 20,000mh in the pool also you're going to need to rely on the coins you've all mined to retain some decent value to turn a profit and the way things are right now that 0.01BTC average looks more like 0.008/9BTC so that's even more miners you're going to need. I'd say from a realistic point of view BC's value will floor at around 800 to 1k after the initial hype wears off and people get bored and move onto something else unless the coin can offer something with true intrinsic value and purpose other than giving miners BC to convert into BTC or hold for 1% compounded interest You seem to miss the point where total coins are 70mil. If this coin was in the billions like MINT current price would be 2 satoshi. 200BTC would mean about 20% of total coins. To ppl who don't know. He's just trying to lower the price in order to get in. |

Ok then, so please explain me, how pool will be buying BC? for what? some BC will be contributed by miners as fees so pool will withdraw them to miners again. But what about rest? Pool need to have BTC to by BC on open market. How will they earn BTC to buy BC?
For not the pool will be like a normal multipool. It will mine coins and then sell them for BTC. Then it will buy BC with that bitcoin. |

We just have to realise that all can be gone just as fast..... Only this is the first time there is only growing demand and no more growing supply.... hope it plays out well. Maybe BTC is expressed in terms of blacktoshis in a week from now  40000 satoshi lol.. I wish. 5000-10000 by the end of the month sounds way more reasonable. even 10k would be insane! It's not insane. I didn't know how many BC are. When that guy told me 70M I was LOL and instantly bought in. To put it in perspective this right now even @ 2000 is 10 times cheaper than MINT. I don't expect it to reach MINT price soon but certainly I don't expect it to stay here. You guys realize this coin has no premine, and one of the fairest starts. Active community and good devs. |

I feel you. Had my money in SAT and some asshole decided to dump ~25 btc. So I had no choice but to wait for buy orders to go back up and missed at 1000. Watching the price rise and knowing you can't do anything, sucks.  |

Cryptsy launch will propel this coin up, followed by some downturn, followed by (once again gradual rise).
Cryptsy is not the end all be all. It's just the beginning. That's what you have to keep in mind.
Interesting... I hope it will be a very good launch and we will mantain the prices between 10-15. Don't want to see a big pump followed by panic sales. If we can just maintain this paste we are in now we will get to 50-100 satoshi in the end. .. 50-100 is a bit too much. Best-case scenario. I think 20-40 within a month is much more realistic. And that's if things go well. That said don't compare this to MOON either.. This coin is much better than moon. |

It has been on the top rank of Cryptsy for the whole week. But I do believe people are interested in this coin. I'm curious how the cryptsy launch wil go. Have seen some coins that got f*** due to the cryptsy launch.
If people don't get overly-excited and dump as much as they can the price should stabilize at about 12. 20->12-13 in the first hours after cryptsy launch. After that I can't say it depends on the devs and people in here. If it doesn't get on cryptsy I think it will go back to about 8-10 satoshi. The main thing any coin needs is MARKETING. Aka to get people OUTSIDE of this forum interested in it and give them reasons to buy it. Somebody here compared this to MINT. You can't compare this to MINT. MINT has 3 huge things this coin doesn't have: - POS - An actual reason for the people to keep their coins and not dump them. Also POW is done so no miners to dump them either. - MINTPAL - which is the best and most reliable exchange out of them all. It isn't the most popular, but certainly the best. And it will get only better. - a huge community |

So far the price had gone up naturally (this is a VERY good thing, nobody to dump). That said if devs keep up the good work and community stays strong, price has lots of room to grow. Yes the price is being pushed downwards so people can buy cheap, as soon as some scared people dumped their coins the prices go back to 10. I've seen this same thing a few times last 2 days. The price isn't pushed downwards. It's just people following what other people say. If the vibe is good, price goes up. If the vibe is down, price goes down. Also half of the sell/buy orders are day-traders. The reason price has gone up today is because of the cryptsy ranking. People got excited and bought in. Day traders saw the opportunity and bought in also. When the real investors got fewer, day traders sold to cut their losses and drove the price back down. If it actually gets picked for Cryptsy tomorrow, price should go up to at least 12. There is no whale, there are no walls, there is no pump.
