The S7 every single unit had a customs fee
So I'm not surprised the trend is continuing, IMO the US customs is now wel aware who Bitmain is and what their products are, and as such they are unwavering on the customs fees
I did not had any fees in US on seven individual S7 units of which most expensive was $1823 or something like that. I also never had a fee on S1,S2,S3,S5. I also did not get fees on expensive Spondoolies. I conclude that it is not that they are unwavering, it is that customs rules are not very well defined. I very well may get a fee on S9, but it would mean that something changed, not that it was there all along. It could also be US customs location? Mine all came through Alaska I think |

S1-S4 I never got any duty or customs fees no matter what shipping I chose

Both Avalon's run amazingly well ( 3.6th and 3.4th ) at 11.7 voltage and have been ran in a chilled server room
can only sell as bundle because I only have 1 pi, 1 control cable, and 1 daisy chain cable.. unless someone wants to buy 1 without any cables

Bitmain have hacked stratum in the S9 miner.
Adding their own special command for antpool ... who knows what they do with that extra command during authentification ...
We don't allow invalid commands during authentication e.g. to stop DDoS attempts sending rubbish to the pool when they connect.
So, yep as of now the S9 wont work on CKPool.
Any pool that allows the miner to send random rubbish during connection will allow it.

has anyone heard the rumor that the S7's chips were in fact failed runs of these same 16nm chips.. for fear of being called a failure bitmain decided to market the s7 as better fully customized 28nm

Pray that Bitfury chips come out soon as they'll be the only redemption for us outdated miners. S7s will be dead after the halving, and so will Avalon miners and all the other crap out there. Trading also works, buy some btc and easy profit. 0 electricity, 100% profit if you know what you are doing. S7s do have room to underclock, so they could last maybe a few weeks after the halving, but sell early- prices will take a dive after the halving due to selling and buying some next gen miner.
While in general I agree that it's just as prudent to trade/hold BTC as mine, I am very skeptical of "100% profit if you know what you are doing". I'd like to understand what trading strategy yields an increase for a $1000 investment to $2000 in a well defined time frame. While this would be completely true if you bought 8 months ago, you could just as easily be down 50% if you bought in at $800. Please elaborate on what I should be doing to trade BTC to make money. Maybe there is some exchange that I am unaware of that doesn't charge me so much that even trading small swings gets eaten up by various fees and buy/sell differences. Can you accomplish this using coinbase? Lol spot on |

I used a dot of superglue on two heatsinks on an earlier batch and not wanting to wait weeks on end to ship the hash boards back during Chinese holiday.. Still running strong at 700freq and no issues |
