101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: December 03, 2015, 08:15:44 PM
Thanks folks,

Alenevaa...why are there only two peers connected now? What does this mean? If I am one of them, is there only one other connected to me?

When you say the original Ultracoin has the same issues, do you mean there is another chain still running alongside the new one still? |Is it competing with this one?

Also, if there is no developer, what happens when something goes wrong after Krako has gone? Will it potentially just collapse?

Cheers,

Roister01

Hi folks,

As the Drachmae exchange isn't yet open, what would happen if I bought some more, say on cryptsy  or bittrex, and transferred them into my Drachmae account...would they be converted, or is it too late?

Cheers,

Roister01

Also, why are there not so many orphans these days with the stake amounts? Is this a result of the changes?

Cheers,

Hi folks,

wrt to cryptsy, I have used them for quite some time, and have had no problem withdrawing as of yet? Perhaps not quite the volumes of you folk though!

Anyway, still can't understand why the recent changes have left UTC in the state it currently is? What is it about the last lot of changes that has caused all the problems? Must say, I haven't had the wallet problems that some have, mine synchronises fine, and is starting to give stake amounts regularly (but only small amounts), but why is the block time so long these days? Does this mean that the 6 second transaction is no longer possible?

Cheers,

Roister01

Hi folks,

What is happening to my favourite alt?

Is there any realistic hope for this coin now? Can anyone fill us in, in a simplistic way, where this coin is heading, and if there is a future for it?

Many thanks,

Roister01

Well done all!

I have noticed that the staking amounts are a lot smaller these days....is that because of the changes, or just because things are still catching up?

Where do you get hold of tshirts and the like? I could wear one, get folks noticing Ultracoin round and about?

Also, do we have an address to donate to things such as the miners who have done so well? if so, what is it?

Cheers,

Roister

Hi folks,

I think the last few comments are a little confusing for us folk...
The fact that the difficulty is decreasing again, that sounds good...is it?
Then Alenevaa mentioned that the wallet has stopped? That sounds bad!
I had a stake arrived this morning, just after midnight...how does this tie in with wallet stopping?

Who is sorting out the issues, do we know?

Cheers,

Roister...
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][YAC] YACoin ongoing development on: November 10, 2015, 01:38:13 PM
Thanks for that...

Why does the N factor need to change like this...what is the benefit?

Cheers,

Thanks Alenevaa...

i take that to mean there is no point me mining UTC on my laptop anymore?

Does it still make sense to do YAC?

Cheers,

Thanks for that folks, it has indeed caught up eventually!

However, there are no 'stakes' coming through anymore, well, not for past three days. I usually get a few each day at least. Should I be getting them, or is it related to technical issue?

Cheers,

It just says catching up...
Downloaded 1548343 blocks of transaction history. Last received block was generated 22 hours ago.

It has been like this for ages tho!

Thanks a lot Stephen,
Since the update though, my wallet won't synchronise. I have tried restarting computer to see if that would help, but no luck. Is it anything obvious, if not, what should I do?

114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NAUT] Nautiluscoin to Nxt-based Nautilus redemption process. on: November 09, 2015, 09:33:24 PM
Hi folks,

I have a few thousand Naut, just transferred from Cryptsy to Drachmae. Now showing up in my account as Naut-L. What happens now? Also,
what is the correct wallet to download for the new coins?

Cheers,

Hi folks,

Fingers crossed you have sussed this issue out now... Smiley

Could I just check, I have tried doing the upgrade. If my qt is showing this, has the upgrade succeeded:
v0.7.4.1-g-9-g23ef1a4-beta

Cheers,

Roister01

Also, what settings will I have to put into my miner to make it work again?

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [Ultracoin] [Est. Feb 2014] ~ ASIC Resistant & Ultrafast 6 Second Transactions! on: November 01, 2015, 09:56:01 PM
Hi folks,

Now that the changes have taken place, should it have eliminated orphans in my qt? It is just that I am still getting a few orphans from my coins that are minting, maybe one or two in every ten...

Also, what does the change to NF14 mean in laymans term? What are my miners doing differently?

Many thanks,

Roister01

Thanks usukan,

It just confused me, as my program files called it UltraCoinQT_win32_v7.4.1-8,

but my qt describes it as v0.7.4.1-g-8-gdc521c7-beta...

I wondered why it had an extra g before the 8, and all the info after...

So long as it is the correct one, thats great...Smiley

Many thanks,

Roister01

Hi folks,

This is the reference I found for the version of UTC qt that I am currently using...is this right?

v0.7.4.1-g-8-gdc521c7-beta

Thanks for your help as ever Alenevaa...

I think I understand...but what I don't understand is, will there then be two different 'types' of utc? Which will be incompatible with each other?
What will then be the best coin? Could there in theory be two different prices for utc?

Cheers,

Roister01

Sorry folks, also meant to ask:

Do I need to adjust any settings in my miner, to connect it to the new pool, or will it know to do that on its own?

Cheers,

Roister01
