But ppl just never learn  Why do you say this? um its a fact i own asics but asics are gona die a slow death with all these forks electroenum is forking on may 30 or 31 , after that there will nothing to mine profitablity for these criptonite asics this = doorstop remember 2TH of asic hash mines on electroneum, when that has has to leave nothing left will make the x3 more than 1-2 dollars a day Wrong! Do a little research, (this thread) there will be several coins to mine when and IF etn forks. No more of the $200+ a day coins, but coins none the less, and More than the GPU's can earn. |

No one cares about a low volume coin like AEON. Even if all other coins fork, mining Bytecoin will still be more profitable than most ASIC MINERS. Bytecoin is my next when when ETN forks. My X3 will do $20.00 a day there. Not alot of dough, but payback for sure, I have all the time in the world. you forgot something bro, you wont be the only one who will switch. if etn+aeon switches, around 2,1ghs hashing power will move to your "low volume" coins, just do some math what will happen to difficulties you x3 would do now ~14$ on bytecoin...i dont think it will get better  WRONG! Bytecoin pays $20, plus a share of the block if you find it. |

Anyone who has had X3 running for a month has easily made atleast half of the cost back, with 20$ per day its 50 days the get the other half. Its not bad at all.
Exactly, those posting otherwise are disgruntled GPU owners that paid a fortune for their rigs, and now make $2.00 a day. All the BS they post here is just that BS! My X3 has been running non-stop since 5-9 and I'm getting $29.00 a day. |

I think bytecoin mining is the best though the value of bytecoin is lowest.. but according to me if we mine bytecoin now and without spending it if we save it for future then it will be a lot of profit... what's your opinion?
I started with minergate pool. But they aren't stable at all. What pool do you use ? Do not use minergate, it sucks and I've read some posts accusing it of scam. Try bytecoin.uk, they also have a discord chat. THAT would be the one. They have NO fees, and they share 5-10% of any block you find. UK |

Hi, At the moment i'm using mine X3 for mining of ETN. It seems after 29th we will not be able to mine ETN anymore. What would be the best alternative to mine? Which coin can we mine after ETN's upgrade?

The 30th assuming they go thru with it on that date. I'll mine until it doesn't. THEN... I'll try BYTECOIN, that will pay about $19.00 a day. Using a UK pool since they have no fees and you share 5-10% in any block found. Exactly ZERO other pools make this offer. |

Did not notice a thing. I am running at 60% fan speed and 550MHz.
What is the advantage of setting fan speed? I haven't touched that adjustment yet. I did do the upgrade, it was successful, no error yet, but only running 4.5 hrs. |

There is one firmware file at Bitmains download page for the X3. Is it the release version? How do we compare installed firmware version and download file version?
You have to compare the File System version on the miner Overview page with the filename of the tar.gz file.  The most recent firmware for X3 on Bitmain right now is Antminer-X3- 201804122017.tar.gz Mine says 4-11, how is it updated? I think most X3 are shipped with 4-11 and 4-12 is the newest. Overclocking is tempting but I'm too afraid I might mess something up or hurt the longevity of the machine if i want to host it in a facility long term. That's totally valid, but considering the length of Bitmain's warranties and the speed in drop in profitability of the past couple miners they've sold (D3, A3), there's not a huge risk if you're careful. Not promoting or even necessarily condoning overclocking, but I do it. I have my L3+ overclocked for 6 months with no problems, the A3 for the two months it was worth bothering running it, and have my X3 overclocked as well. Just make sure your temps are good and your HW errors are low if you try it. Think of it this way: if profitability the first 2 months is 5-6x that of later (using the A3 as an example), overclocking for a 30% bump is totally worth the risk if you can get those results for that whole period, even if it dies say 4 months in. Using the S9 as an example, it would probably have been very profitable to overclock it on arrival, but that machine was profitable for a very long time, so if it did kill it within 3-4 months, you might have ended up losing money. It's all about the risk/reward. Also killing your machine limits resale to parts only, but I don't think that's as huge a loss with the current era of ASICs. Agreed, I'm a bit conservative in the Oclocking. 475hz getting 270-280 Kh/s. Some on youtube have Oclocked to 320 Kh/s. Only one bank had 8HW, temps are arounf 53-55 C |
