101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dApps with 0% fee - scams or real? on: September 30, 2019, 01:37:33 PM
What if there is a short promo period at the beginning without fee and then the project introduces some. Or better settle the rules from the beginning?
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / dApps with 0% fee - scams or real? on: September 30, 2019, 01:06:29 PM
How do you react when you come across a project saying that it is not charging any fee, e.g. a swap or a DEX which does not collect any fees. Do you take it as an advantage or it does not look serious enough to you?
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Negative interest rates will make stablecoin pegs impractical to maintain? on: September 27, 2019, 05:01:33 AM
The interests are going crazy especially with DAO
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Negative interest rates will make stablecoin pegs impractical to maintain? on: September 25, 2019, 11:30:43 AM
Do you think negative interest rates will impact stablecoins and make them impractical?
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dollar Cost Average - suitable for crypto investing? on: September 24, 2019, 02:16:50 PM
Do you use DCA for investing in crypto or do you think it is not efficient for such a volatile sector?
106  Economy / Speculation / Re: The recession is going to pump the price of Bitcoin? on: September 19, 2019, 01:51:47 PM
Ultimately, regardless if a recession will pump the price of bitcoin or not, you're a sick person if you're looking forward to a recession just because your bitcoin holdings might pump in price. Unemployment rates would rise, and that would lead to families being unfed, and a lot more other disastrous consequences.

I'll have to double check when I'm not on my phone and have a bit more time, but I *think* it was this recent Andreas Antonopoulos video where he raised a similar point:

https://youtu.be/15qZu-OHFk0

If memory serves, he said "you'd have to be a sociopath", or words to that effect.  It's probably a thought many of us have briefly considered at some point or another, but yes, it's sick when you actually stop to think about it.

Yeah, this video is really good - Andreas definitely knows how to explain things. It is not about being sociopath to earn from Bitcoin while people are suffering but rather taking measures not to suffer. And everyone has the free choice how to act, if the recession is about to come.
107  Economy / Speculation / Re: The recession is going to pump the price of Bitcoin? on: September 19, 2019, 01:44:49 PM
DO you think we are going to see a recession any time soon,
I personally don't know because I'm quite lacking in the economics side of things, but a lot of so called "experts" are saying that a recession in the short-term is bound to happen.

will it pump the price of Bitcoin?
I don't think so. I think it will go down with everything else. This has been discussed multiple times already here on Bitcointalk; look around and read threads.

Ultimately, regardless if a recession will pump the price of bitcoin or not, you're a sick person if you're looking forward to a recession just because your bitcoin holdings might pump in price. Unemployment rates would rise, and that would lead to families being unfed, and a lot more other disastrous consequences.

Thanks for the opinion. It is definitely not like looking forward to the recession just to gain some easy money from Bitcoin pumps. It is about being prepared and taking some measures. And that's what all people and families should do because at the end of the day the government will screw us all.
108  Economy / Speculation / The recession is going to pump the price of Bitcoin? on: September 19, 2019, 11:30:37 AM
DO you think we are going to see a recession any time soon, and if yes, will it pump the price of Bitcoin?
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atomic Swaps use cases on: September 18, 2019, 01:02:07 PM

Atomic swaps is cool and all, but really way too slow to use on a DEX if you ask me. Depending on the coin pairs, it can take several minutes to exchange 2 coins using atomic swaps, and while it "seems" fast, it's not.
Imagine yourself as a day trader, wanting to trade on the ups and downs - Now imagine waiting up to 10 mins / trade. You'd run out of patience real quick, and would probably move your operation over to a centralized solution with INSTANT trading.

Now, let's imagine a DEX using Lightning to swap your coins? The benefits here is HUGE, since the trades is near instant, AND virtually feelees. So you save time, AND money.

Take a look at Stakenet - 3rd project to actually implement Lightning on mainnet (Next to BTC/LTC), and actually helped the LTC team integrating it on their chain.
Stakenet's Lightning DEX is soon ready for public testing, and it's probably the most promising DEX solution out there for PRO traders, who wants to stay anonymous as well, since the DEX doesn't need KYC, registrations, or anything else for that matter. You also don't need to sync with the DEX, as the DEX is run on masternodes keeping all the chains on their servers.

This is a true gem, however, do your own research guys Smiley

That's a good input right there that weidex team could look.  Weren't there projects which interoperability had been working already?

DEX has to really develop to its fullest this time and DEX has to take part in the process for the adoption of crypto.  If convenience has to be offered apart from this anonymity in exchanges, DEX has to offer it.

We are putting great efforts in developing weiDex and soon we will release Atomic Swap dApp between different blockchains. Hope, it will provide both convenience and anonymity and everything else coming with the decentralization. And there will be no fee for the swaps.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atomic Swaps use cases on: September 17, 2019, 11:57:13 AM
So atomic swaps are better for non-traders and exchanges for daily traders?
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atomic Swaps use cases on: September 16, 2019, 01:57:44 PM
Atomic swap is just a way of exchanging coins without centralized intermediaries which is referring to another definition of DEX exchanges or decentralized exchanges, to me dex exchange features is already a real use case, it provides better security over centralized exchanges, nothing more

This is true but there is one main feature which separates them from DEXs - the idea is to achieve multi-chain trading - for example to swap ETH for BTC instantly
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Atomic Swaps use cases on: September 16, 2019, 12:54:34 PM
What do you think will be the use cases of Atomic Swaps? Why would you prefer to use them?
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Atomic Swaps - New future? on: September 09, 2019, 12:49:57 PM
Are you familiar with atomic swap widgets? What if you have the pair ETH-TRON or ETH-BTC, would you use it if you can manage to trade them directly? Do you think it will be magnificent to have this kind of exchange?
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best exchange in 2019? on: September 06, 2019, 03:26:43 PM
I think Binance is the best exchange...
But they can block users only if they don't like their countries....
They blocked users from Belarus, Serbia, Bosnia and others without any adequate reason...

Yes, they can do that because they are centralized. And they can do many other things which re not in favour of the users.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What exchange is better than binance? on: September 05, 2019, 11:47:08 AM
Centralized maybe no better but if you are searching for easy to use decentralized go here: https://app.weidex.market/. + atomic swap widget will be soon released for trades between different blockchains (ETH-BTC; ETH-EOS...)
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best exchange in 2019? on: September 05, 2019, 11:42:10 AM
Check this one - very user friendly and simple - https://app.weidex.market/. And soon an atomic swap widget will be released for trades between different blockchains e.g. ETH-BTC
117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: The best Dex Exchange on: September 05, 2019, 11:39:39 AM
Definitely this one https://app.weidex.market/. And very soon an atomic swap widget will be released as well for trading between different blockchains.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / atomic swaps between different blockchains on: September 05, 2019, 10:28:10 AM
We are about to release atomic swap widget for trustless multichain trading. The first pair will be ETH - TRON and will soon implement Bitcoin, EOS, Aeternity networks.
Do you find it useful? Would you use such dApp?
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Dominance Hits 72.5. What about alt coins? on: September 04, 2019, 10:41:24 AM
I found a report of Grayscale (https://bit.ly/2lZ4EmF). Investments in altcoins are increasing in Q2 compared to Q1 2019  (Q1 - 1% of all investments are for alcoins; Q2 - the number goes to 24%)

120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Dominance Hits 72.5. What about alt coins? on: September 04, 2019, 07:09:11 AM
Last time BTC moved up into five figures and rallied to a new 2019 high, the altcoins were pulled up with it. This time it looks different. Are we going to see another alt season?
