102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New digital crypto currency to everyone Global Trade Coin (GLTC) on: January 28, 2017, 04:22:07 AM
I see GLTC is combining an MLM in positions, with daily interest payments because they'll use a mobile app for retail purchases, that's unique and can be valuable to people. Especially since people in China and India as well as Venezuela are getting cash restrictions in their country's.
https://youtu.be/XkitaDXXrDU

Since the offer is only good until January 31st who wouldn't want $50 in GLTC for free!

Congratulations for the most obvious shill post I have seen in a month
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New digital crypto currency to everyone Global Trade Coin (GLTC) on: January 28, 2017, 04:15:55 AM
My group is helping Global Trade Coins (GLTC) get on https://novaexchange.com/addcoin/ by voting to add it on their exchange. The GLTC mobile app will be available soon, and they'll be launching a Visa Debit card, exchange all of which will make the price rise. It will be easy for people to use the coin to purchase items, so the price is guaranteed to settle much higher than what we're buying it for today.

your "group"
battling to get listed at Nova when you can buy points for about 0.05
= a GLTC "mobile app" + a Visa Debit card
= guaranteed rising price

lol, I am sold

I see you have an electrum with cryptolife, so to be fair  you are probably serious

Good luck
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New digital crypto currency to everyone Global Trade Coin (GLTC) on: January 28, 2017, 04:09:57 AM

buy the points, they are pretty cheap. You only need 250.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New digital crypto currency to everyone Global Trade Coin (GLTC) on: January 26, 2017, 03:38:41 AM
as many of the peeps before me have stated about being a trash coin? i just honestly think that copy and paste coins should be outlawed and should never get launched!
at least this would stop greedy devs or wannabe devs from shooting crap all over the market!
IMHO  exit this thread and never come back!!!!
free coins mean nothing if they dont hold their value in the long term!

Difficulty with "banning"   Wink  but the crux of the post is interesting, without the copy/paste alts, there would be about 10 or so interesting cryptocurrencies.

We are in the "Wild West" period, things might calm down and some genuinely innovative currencies become more than just "alts".
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PSB] Pesobit, Philippine-based crypto on: January 26, 2017, 03:20:52 AM
yea they dump their coins pretty hard from 10k down to 500sats - i'm surprise you considered that support. if that's how you understood "support" i don't know how twisted i understood it.

tell you what, it may dip down to the very minimum to around 10 sats to zilch. but i'm not gonna be surprise. thats how they support it.

Well that's how trading is. It's the same with the forex markets. Price dips then bounces back up. Even bitcoin had price dips. You'd understand that if you've been in crypto trading long enough, which apparently, your argument above implies that you are not.

You're comparing PSB to Bitcoin which already has a lot of history. Most folks in the cryptosphere revere bitcoin now because it's time-tested and is still continuously evolving. Pesobit is not even a year old yet so it will have a lot of stories to tell on the road to its first year, second year, and beyond. So expect a lot more challenges and improvements to pesobit.

You're too in a hurry for it to fail. That shows that by nature, you're a pessimist. Judging from your general activity, you frequent the Philippine boards so you're Filipino. How sad, a Filipino that isn't proud of his own country's crypto achievement. Stay tuned for more pesobit activity and when it reaches new highs, i hope you choke on your own words.

That is not the case at all:

(1) The majority of alts do not bounce back, or if some do, they have a limited bounce period (ping pong ball dropped on the floor).
(2) A sizable number do not even bounce, they just go nowhere.
(3) Forex is not like you describe, it is similar to the alt-world I describe.
(4) You are describing an altcoin world from about 18 months ago (even then exaggerated somewhat).

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PSB] Pesobit, Philippine-based crypto on: January 25, 2017, 04:15:41 AM
WOW! A cryptopia official publishing publicly a confidential conversation between Cryptopia and the PSB Dev.

Nice Cryptopia, very nice.

Lesson learned: with craptopia, your confidentiality is public domain!

Nothing in the support ticket suggested the content was confidential. He acknowledged that this course of action would result in delisting and instructed that our users be notified to contact him directly and that he would also make announcements around this. We have made our own announcements accordingly.

I am not sure what your problem here is.

What my problem is? Well nicely asked like this - here is the clear answer (although it seems obvious to me).

My problem is Cryptopia has revealed (copy - pasted, actually) a private conversation in a public forum. This private conversation had some elements that had not been published yet, as per the Dev's plans, and were probably to be disclosed in an ordered and clean manner at the proper time.

Now we know, that craptopia does not respect private conversations. Careful what you write to them privately, it could end up public domain!

Yes, I dont even know the coin, but cryptopia as an exchange is pathetic. It spends its time being small-time, then reveling in it like a pig in shit, then cries for your money, while insulting you, and publicly lies to make their disliked list look like a evil genius. Look at dotcoin, twice (hmm).

they are small timers, and have a cheek even coming on bitcointalk given they refer to it as "shitcointalk".

Wankers of the highest order.

I bought at about 40, and I thought it was heading up to 200, maybe 300 sats.

But there is no community, the same posts from about 4 people. It is like everyone has been airbrushed from the thread, and queries are dealt with by ignoring the poster.

Plus, repeatedly saying you buy and sell (above) is not going to breed confidence as a community coin, it is the rhetoric of "me first" not solid support.

The development stopped weeks ago, and it was quite Machiavellian, in that you squeezed out people that were "community" and replaced them with nothing.

I sold at about 110 as it was clear that the price stagnated and nobody from the development team was willing  to back it by taking it to the 200s. That would have been so  easy for you, but it was like you were treading water saying " we are insane" as if that could tip a balance.

It worked when more were involved, but died when you got rid of them .. or made it clear they stay away (silent treatment, innuendo, silly responses, etc).

I think you have killed it, but could be wrong.

But as a development team, you have been poor for many weeks.

You may have an ace in your pocket, but based on the apparent quality of support and development, I don't think you have.

It is a shame, but  you turned a potential success in the long-term to a probable failure in the next month.

Sorry, but you appear quite amateurish.

Value out in less than 5 hours, or 31 blocks averaging 500,000 each block, plus the 2,533,423 bonus is about 18,000,000 (18 million)

http://45.32.150.108/

Raw json

http://45.32.150.108/rpcace.php

But it seems like they are unable to stake while blocks are being mined. I put 1 GHZ on minng, and nothing was staked. My payouts were stuck waiting for confirmations. I had to mine the difficulty down before someone decided to mine, took the difficulty for PoW up to 500 MH, and left it there.

2 Chains?

Sorry shitty explorer but rpcace is so raw it catches a lot anyway.

You gotta laugh ... or not.

I wonder what would happen if someone non-Jane took the PoW difficulty way up, 6 hours of 20 GHZ.

Would they stake, or not?

Hmm.

Has anyone tried compiling from source the easy way: Linux?

It is not that easy, although it compiles. But start the daemon: ./JaneCoind

nothing, it waits, and waits, like it is mining 1000 genesis blocks.

I had the idea of seeing if a root directory had been created.

It had, complete with a JaneCoin.conf. This is what it gave me:

Code:
JaneCoin.conf

rpcuser=user
rpcpassword=U3wU0Uk8pVhTEze
rpcport=13412
port=13413
#(0=off, 1=on) daemon - run in the background as a daemon and accept commands
daemon=0
#(0=off, 1=on) server - accept command line and JSON-RPC commands
server=0
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
testnet=0

This is a first for me, and taking a look at the github, there are a few differences.

checkpoints.cpp
main.h (main.h 962-95)
init.cpp

The compile gave me another first for a "warning" message:

Code:
warning: comparison of unsigned expression >= 0 is always true [-Wtype-limits]
         if (nHeight >= 0 || fTestNet)
                        ^

That is with every object file compiled.

I downloaded the complete root directory, as it intrigued me. Plus the source code. Plus a copy paste of my compile.

This coin has no website, no explorer, so how did it get on Cryptopia? Even Yobit asks for an explorer. Cryptopia had until recently rejected numerous coins on premine, website or lack of explorer.

I will leave this wee thing up for a day before removing everything, so you can see the difficulty, if anyone is staking, etc. It is a simple rpc explorer (does not recognize Hybrid, it is PoW or PoS, so I put PoS, but it makes no difference ... PoW blocks start  with a few 00000s, PoS do not).

http://46.101.142.215/

I made it a hideous color for a piece of shit scam coin.

By the way, the daemon started when I made a normal ".conf"

I also removed (to my desktop) all the files in the root directory, and started it with just my revised JaneCoin.conf sitting in the root directory.
