101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FoxNews: DoD Investigating Bitcoin as possible terrorist threat on: May 05, 2014, 12:18:06 PM

It's so strange to see people use a super left wing website to report on the viewership of Fox News. You would not be able to back this up with real information, as the true fact is; the people that listen to Fox News are just as politically, socially and racially diverse as those that read other news.
102  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.55 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 30, 2014, 01:58:43 AM
2 new S1s arrived today ordered April 25. Looking brand new, dust free and hashing fine. Setup a breeze as usual. One issue but a non-issue for me. One of my S1's has only 1 bank temp reading. Knowing that one reading usually reflects the other +- 1 C I don't think it hardly worth an RMA.

That just happened on one of mine today, ordered it about a week ago. All of a sudden I was looking at CG Remote and it said that the S1 went to 138 C, so I quickly rebooted it and one of the temps is gone, just reads zero and the other reads 28 c. All my others show 48 to 50 C. Must be bad sensors, not worth the RMA as it is hashing away just fine.

Both my new ones I got in today look fine, no dust. I have 5 more on order, so in a week I will be part of the 3 TH club. Thanks for the deal on these last ones Bitmain, you guys rock! Got a great deal from my electrician today. He came out ran 6 new, 20 amp lines, light switch and a light for the attic in the garage. Did it all for $1100 and then he asked me if I could bang out a website for him for $500, deal done. It only cost me $600 and a little of my time to get the electrical upgrades done.

Dang this is fun. Grin

Oh no, you should go ahead and send your money/btc. It's a great time to buy miners, don't you know? What difficulty? $$$ signs dancing in front of your eye, no? It's a money making machine!!! It's a great deal, please send in your payment, for christ's sake!

You got to love funny sarcasm! I think I will keep my money for now.

if i were u bud id either get S1 x 10 or just buy BTC.

fuck these manufacturing clowns - even the best of a bad bunch is still shoddy.

Wow, when your really start looking at this company, it's amazing how evil they really are! Not only are people complaining about them here but on there own forum. So I did not send them any money nor will I send them money.

Thanks for the link and the advice. Going to wait for an S2.

106  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / TerraMiner IV ON SALE - Anybody think this is a deal??? on: April 16, 2014, 01:16:46 AM
I filled out the shopping cart info and now have 7 days the ad says 2, but my email says 7 days to pay.

Anybody think this is a good deal?? BTC is going up??

https://cointerra.com/product/terraminer-iv/#!prettyPhoto

Copy and paste the whole link above.

Let me know, wish I could get an S2, but not available and at this price the TerraMiner per GH is cheaper.

Thanks,

Rob
107  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.893 BTC for 180GH/s on: April 15, 2014, 11:52:29 AM
Got mine on the 7/4/2014 it looked new without dust but it was hashing the moment I plugged it.So was used but for how long???

I just got a new one yesterday and it looked clean and UN-used also. The reason they hash soon as they hit the net is because of testing. Not sure if that counts as used. I can say one thing...I have 7 AntMiners and one 5 card GPU miner. My little ants work great, as for the GPU always got to watch it to make sure it's running fast and no re-boots or updates needed.

These AntMiners rock!

108  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Electrical Responsbility on: April 15, 2014, 02:53:48 AM

Who's responsibility is the transformer? Isn't that the power companies not mine?

They said if i blow the fuse again they won't be back until morning. This is in CO, USA with excel energy.

DON'T give in to them! I live in Colorado (Arvada) they tried to make me pay to move a line that had been connected to my garage 10 years BEFORE I bought the house. They came out, put in a new pole, moved the line and tried to stick me with an $1800 bill. Fricken pound sand Xcel Energy!!!

I called the Public Utilities Commission, super nice lady, told me to write them (P.U.C.) a letter. In just two weeks I got a nice little letter back from Xcel stating they were sorry for the error in judgement and I would NOT have to pay the $1800.

So fight it!! You are paying your bill every month so they can just pony up the money and build out what you need to support your mining business.

Hope this helps.

Good mourning guys, so i recently bought an antminer s1 from ebay brand new, it worked great for a few hours and just quick hashing. ive checked everything i can think of. i can still connect to the antminer, the control board leds lightup but not the green one on the outside boards. anyone that can help me i would greatly appreaciate it. thnkyou

Do you have 3 different mining pools? Sometimes one will stop working. Also in your configuration settings hit save and apply, sometimes for what ever reason, you need to do that a couple of times. Check, check and double check your LAN cable. If you are using CAT 6 cable it may not work, CAT 5e works great.

Hope this helps.

You guys and your re-sellers like NinjaTech (Jonathan is great) seem to be one of the only companies out there that consistently gets us miners and communicates with this forum; and on a regular bases. Thank you for that, the customer loyalty you are building will go a long ways in the future as Bitcoin grows. The fantastic customer service, website tracking and on time products you provided compared to scam companies like BFL will be remembered by this community for a very long time.

Thanks
Rob Cool

PS. Got my S1 ordered today at 6 am for 0.893 BTC before cut off. Yea buddy!!!

Anyone else NOT been able to access bitmain's website?  I check it every couple of days to see if anything is in stock again, but getting nothing today. Huh

Yep, down. They were up and selling early today. If you go to 112bit they have listed over 2800 in stock for $404 USD, I would pay with BTC but I use Coinbase not Bitpay.  Undecided Dang, I need one more.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's eat! Introducing the Crypto Diner's Club on: April 06, 2014, 01:17:48 AM
You know each waitress would just need to have a bracelet with a QR code on it. When your done eating you just pull out your phone and scan her code. Done!

Great idea!

Rob

the medical "bracelet" system is already adopting such an idea

That's way cool!!! Grin Grin

No response from them yet? since your last post was (3/31)

Follow up and just to be fair.

1 Yes, I do have my S1 and its running great. Came in 04/01 = Great
2 I paid them on 03/21, but they never sent Bitmain the order = Bad
3 Then sent me a follow up email telling me delivery's were delayed, gave me a small credit. = Good
4 Still forgot to order my S1, after yet another email from me. = Bad
5 Admitted the mistake, ordered my S1 and sent it to me overnight = Good

Would I order from NinjaTech again? Yes. Screwing up someones order does not make you a bad vendor, it just make you human. Fixing the problem without excuses and doing everything to make it right, makes you a trusted vendor.

Looks like this has turned into a bad experience with this vendor (NinjaTech.org). Below is my online form submission to them today. Angry

I would like to know why I can't get any tracking info for my S1. I placed this order with you 10 days ago and have yet to see delivery. I did get a message stating there would be a small refund in BTC for the delay and that never happened.

I placed an ordered for another S1 from Bitmain last Friday and today Monday I have a tracking number for a Wednesday delivery. So I am going to ask you one more time. Where is my tracking number? When will I see this unit delivered. If you cannot deliver this ASAP, please give me a refund today for the total price that I paid you. I am more then disappointed with your company as a vendor and I will be reporting my experience to the Bitcoin Forum.

Thank you,
Rob

Not sure I would ever do business with them, Bitmain seems to be the way to go. Cool
117  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Antminer S1 , printscreen comments! on: March 30, 2014, 01:56:47 PM
Why do you have the same pool 3 times? The point of having different pools is so you stay mining 24/7 if one goes down.

I would add in other pools.

Otherwise looks good. Great temps!

I was promised one by today, but instead I got an email that the shipment is still on its way. At least they refunded some of my cost.

Hope it arrives soon.
