Did you make file executable  chmod +x 'filename'  where filename is an executable file.

I did... no effect  Undecided

Do you have libqt4-gui?

Honest reactions from around my shop... 1 "kinda scary", 2 "looks angry", 1 "looks like he wants to kick my ass", and 1 "daddy can I have that".

Nice little survey! The digiman looks awesome, but if you want Digibyte to have succes among the average person, this must not be the digiman shown, Only when the topic is security.

A brand character is a very very strong form of marketing, and it just has to be happy. End of discussion.

Try to search "brand character" on google and see how many of them is smiling.

Not saying this is bad, because its the best form of Digiman we could have to show our security.

And this might sound stupid, but can you make the eyes of the Digiman more human, like with a pupil? It sounds silly, bur its very important, that you can actually make eye contact with our brand character. I'm currently studying marketing and would be glad to help in the future on how to marketing Digibyte a way that the average user understands it, so they will use it in the future. Smiley

You can try installing the linux ubuntu wallet from the digibyte.co site (http://www.digibyte.co/sites/digibyte.co/files/crypto/DigiByte-Ubuntu-1.0.0.zip), or you can compile it from source yourself (https://github.com/digibyte/DigiByteProject). The first method might not work as Ubuntu and Mint are slightly different. The compiling from source should work, but it is a bit more work as you'll need to install the dependencies in order to be able to compile it. If you're compiling from source, then the instructions for Ubuntu (on the github page) should be enough to help you along in Mint. Wink

Thanks  Ice_Blade!

Yeah I tried method 1 and it didn't work, and I even tried installing in on my Ubuntu 13.10 x64  desktop and no go . Again I've only been using linux for a couple months now . It's not easy but rewarding . So I downloaded the Ubuntu zip wallet (zip ) extracted it in a new folder /home/Me/.Digibyte , but could not run digibyted or digibyte-qt .
