Wasn't there one buzz coin already?
Could be. Haven't heard of a recent one, though.

Hey,
just a quick warning, I noticed a new coin called Buzzcoin is getting some paid votes on the Coins-E exchange.
Afaik it has no bitcointalk ANN. You can find the official page here. Don't know if related, empty twitter account here. There is no source listed, but with a quick github search you get to https://github.com/joebuzz/BUZZ/ which is most likely the coin. Litecoin readme and stuff still there.
They only listed one node on their site, which does not work currently. (ping address 24.55.192.234) That means nobody interested in mining this coin can do so.
From what I can read from the source it has a 30 minute block time, 9500 coin block reward that halfes every 550000 blocks.
Either the people behind it are just stupid or they want to create a "Buzz", haha, after solomining this thing like forever.
I might be wrong here, but if not, don't let those people fool you

RescueCoin got 1 BTC @ c-cex (1000 votes). My bet is that c-cex send the 1 BTC so that they trigger more deposits for other coins or they don't want to add RipoffCoin atm. I don't like c-cex.

We added RipoffCoin to our (alpha) data visualization. We generate static difficulty & transaction volume images that you can embed in forums etc.
If you like our service, please send a small RIPO donation to RFzeZvg5nHQcNioZtzhyWmyWzGqTWQtHLW

if only we had an exchange!
didn't it work out with coins-e ? Guess they solomine before adding. Suddenly there are a few hundred MHs outside official pools ^^

I think dev needs to work on diff , is to low and the blocks get found every few seconds and my server get overloaded and my crons get stuck time to time Est. Avg. Time per Round (Pool) 24 seconds Current Difficulty 0.17210002 Noticed that too. Annoying to host. But there might be an update. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=684008.msg8163493#msg8163493

I don't want to spread FUD, but I would be very cautious with coins that promise to deliver features weeks after launch. Launching any sha256 or scrypt wallet is easy, before making any investments in this coin I would request a demonstration of the alpha version of the BitKey technology. Anyone can write up cool features, but implementing them is another thing.
Quote from ANN "The new RootCash™ system is in final testing stage and it's wallet implementation (beta-version) will be released 2-3 weeks after launch."

We set up a block explorer Ripoffcoin Block ExplorerIf you like it, we'd appreciate a small donation to keep this running. RIPO: RBDsnjxjdBf5dbdirTMHPCWArkmjojovCW BTC: 172KD3mYwsa8U8iGsPDACTgfQ1DkRvSLJg Info: Block 0 and 1 are not indexed, because our standard setup has problems processing them. We might fix this soon. We manually looked it up: Nothing special, block 0 has 0 RIPO output and block 1 has the same amount as block 2-10.

Hi, As we previously stated the issues you highlighted will be updated soon. Really sorry for the delay my partner is still recovering from his surgery so will be back to work on this soon. Just so you all know there is another mining pool up and running http://bsy.coin-miners.info/ And you can all continue to solo mine with no problems Nice! Hope your partner is okay.

For those who don't have an address to mine: You can generate a hashed public key with us. http://pool.mycryptoco.in/key.htmlYou can use it as your username (any password). If you have a wallet later you can generate a private key to import your mined coins. (don't forget to save your private key!) Our pool is nomp based and we consider this feature alpha, so use with caution.

Advertising mining pools is no longer allowed, including, but not limited to, altcoin announcement threads. Mining pool ops should make one thread within the Mining section of Alt Currencies. Do not make a separate thread for each coin. Most OP's already link to pools available so advertising your pool is unnecessary and leads to too much spam.
I don't like that rule at all. Why not just limit pool announcements to one post/thread? Was this decision made by only one mod? This rule has almost no advantages, coin devs, miners and pools all profit from non spammy announcements. Boo! Veto!

Hm, will take a look at this
