101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to check if ICO is scam or not? on: March 27, 2019, 05:48:00 PM
Well, we agree that the crypto market has the ability to give fantastic returns but finally, all businesses are subject to the same market forces. If an ICO promises unrealistic returns on investments, like “Our coin gives you 1000% return in x months!” you had better watch out. Also try to read and understand the whitrpaper..  And do Lil research about the team if you can.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is the Crypto Market going down? on: March 27, 2019, 03:27:07 PM
A tiff between the two groups of BCH communities (Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV) led into the bonfire of the ideological debate. The hard fork finally took place on November 15, 2018, resulting in two competing chains Bitcoin ABC and Bitcoin SV. As a result, the value of BCH has suffered just as much as the rest and the hash rate war caused serious uncertainty in the market and this might be the reason for cryptocurrency market crash.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the end near for ripple ? on: March 26, 2019, 09:24:23 PM
There have been several developments around Ripple. Distributed ledger technology is expanding all over the world. Ripple has recently signed up Euro Exim Bank, based out in London, to use Ripple's  xRapid service. The CEO of  Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, seems very enthusiastic about future developments in the financial industry as he had predicted the same that most of the financial institutions will be using xRapid for liquidity advantages. Ripple has a financial and banking network that reaches now more than 150 clients all over the world which have also increased the trust of customers in financial institutions that now can process cross-border payments in a faster, more secure and easier way. So I dont think there is an end to ripple
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the Future of Ethereum? on: March 26, 2019, 05:34:39 PM
ICO’s are validated by the Ethereum blockchain, meaning without Ethereum other tokens cannot exist. This positions Ethereum to become one of largest cryptocurrency companies in the world. Cryptocurrency trading and mining is at an all-time high thanks to companies such as Ethereum, and we expect this digital currency trend to continue. Ethereum is no 2 in the crypto world and definitely has a future.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Damages dumping creates on: March 25, 2019, 06:14:12 AM
I think there is a way to fix this dumping problem plaguing crypto space ,its very annoying to see dumpers dumping coins or tokens at a very lower price than that of the ICO price ,dumping kills coins easily ,I think developers should have some kind of deals with exchanges that won't allow people to dump coins at a particular price ,what are your thought?

There is no point negotiating if they can reward hunters or airdroppers with USDT,  btc or eth...  Also see coins dumps even before it's distributed,  so Attimes the team can dump on holders too,  coin dumping is not only based exchange,  it also depends on management of the project to survive.

Absolutely correct,  coin dumping most times is not based on exchange listing,  it depends on the developer, how do they want there native token to survive,  if they initiated any bounty or airdrop,  I think it's OK,  if they reward hunters and airdroppers in USDT btc and eth just like majority have suggested.  Or maybe also lock some percentage of token distributed to holders...  That way the dump might be less.

107  Economy / Exchanges / Re: KYC and identity theft risk on: March 24, 2019, 06:29:26 AM
An important warning to those of us in the crypto space. Its funny, we're so protective of our Private Keys yet have no problem sending such sensitive documents across the internet for KYC/AML. Its Identity Theft waiting to happen and we as a community need to address the problem before hacks become commonplace. Smiley let's just be very careful...  Especially where we have loads of scam projects requesting for kyc.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin price depend on BTC or ETH?? on: March 22, 2019, 03:43:24 PM
Bitcoin itself is resilient, proven by its survival of multiple Mt. Gox-type events and numerous up-and-down cycles. The long-term curve for Bitcoin is up and to the right. After the infamous coins run out of cash and disappear, the market will become much more robust. Many of the managers became delusional due to their experience of traveling the world and completing their ICOs, thinking that BTC and ETH would only go up and up while failing to exchange enough of their crypto for fiat. Not only did they have startup risk, but they foolishly added FX (foreign exchange) risk.

So, the good news is that these weak, never-should-have-been-funded startups will run out of cash sooner than expected, because their crypto is worthless when converted to fiat than they thought at the time they completed their financings. The flushing out of these coins currently weakening the market will drive the market up. Today, startups exchange their crypto into fiat the moment they get it.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize a good time to sell a coin? on: March 22, 2019, 02:55:54 PM
When it comes to buying coins, most people (dealers and collectors) are sharks. If they know that you are in a situation of desperation, it is likely that they’ll take advantage of you. The worst thing that you can do as a seller is to tell someone–even someone that you have a “close” relationship with–that you have to sell a coin and that you need a fair offer. In my experience, selling your coins in a forced sale can cost you 20-30% or more.

Ideally, you want a sale of an individual coin (or collection) to take at least 45-60 days; possibly more for an in-depth specialized collection. That will give you enough time to prepare the coin for sale, market it, and give the buyer time to pay if this becomes a factor.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Gold have a future? on: March 22, 2019, 08:09:57 AM
As far as the future is concerned, nothing can be said with certainty in the crypto space. The coin is just about two months old, and it does seem to have done well in this period. There is considerable investor interest in the coin, as is evident from its high market cap. While its just speculation from my end, looking at the rise of its brother Bitcoin Cash, I think there is room for growth in Bitcoin Gold as well. However, what will be its status when other Bitcoin forks happen? Nobody can say that for sure. If you have some spare money, sure get into a position on the dips. But if you are playing around with limited money, I would suggest look for other promising altcoins which have bigger objectives.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 8 privacy coin on: March 21, 2019, 07:53:36 PM
There is a concern that even with their identities disguised, users can still be identified based on their activity within a blockchain. This is why some people turn to privacy coins cryptocurrencies that provide users with a higher level of anonymity. Example are: Monero, ringct,  zcash,  deep onion,  closkcoin,  navcoin, pivx, dash..  These are kinda silent token but worth looking into.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum (ETH) is still the long-term investment option number 1 on: March 21, 2019, 04:43:32 PM
Ethereum is worth holding for long term..  It's a good coin,  and I infact,  hold my 50% eth for long term and the other 50% for trading and making profits..  Ethereum pumps and dumps which is Normal in the crypto world,  but still it is the no 1 for me to hold when it comes to altcoins and also make profits.  No regrets whatsoever making my choice to invest in ethereum.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Going On In Crypto World Now ? on: March 21, 2019, 08:10:47 AM
It is very painful to remember my loss in hitbtc and cryptopia where I had 1btc 100k (capp) cappasity token, whatever the case may be does not kill my desire for crypto,  alot of people had lost millions to exchange crash and still moved on,  moving on means crypto continues and  market will fall back to place soon.  In all financial business,  there is always challeyand crypto is no exception.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Monero Reach $500 in 2019? on: March 20, 2019, 06:50:45 PM
Well who knows,  the crypto space is funny Attimes,  you get what you least expect...  Monero is a good coin,  getting to $500 depends on the dev,  how they intend to push the project and make it happen,  many have tried to understand how it works,  many claim they know it,  but in my opinion crypto is unpredictable...  Reaching $500 is a good one,  but my conclusion for Monero this 2019 is a 50/50 to reaching that point.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best altcoin to buy? on: March 20, 2019, 12:05:53 PM
There are loads of altcoins to buy.  First for me is ethereum,  then xlm (steller) neither is also a good choice,  ltc (litecoin)  xrp (ripple) Ada,  bat,  Abbc,  appc and a host of many others,  also depends on how you want to make your profit,  either hold or trade with any of these. But one thing is sure,  make a good pick and decide which way you wanna go with them to earn.  Goodluck
116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Real Solution to Dumping on: March 19, 2019, 02:19:08 PM
I have seen situations where coin dumps even before it's been distributed to bounty hunters because the team dumps along side investors. Bounty managers and developers should stop complaining cos they don't expect hunters to hold there token forever..  They promote the project cos they either want to switch to a better token after distribution or they want cash.

So if they are so concerned about their native token,  they should reward hunters with USD,  USDT,  ETH,  or BTC. I think majority already said same thing,  which means it's kinda a better way to save there token or let holders trade them to whatever they wish.
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing in Bitcoin in 2019? on: March 19, 2019, 06:59:30 AM
I've always been watching bitcoin since mid-2013 up to now, and the market/bubble is painfully toxic. I'm not a big investor or economist, and I probably still only have superficial knowledge on how the entire blockchain systems work.

I just patiently watch the graph, and keep telling myself not to invest because everyone tells me it's a giant bubble that will someday pop. Recently, I started to run a few side businesses dealing in Bitcoin as payment methods, but I've never stored it long term and always converted it to cash.

I remember back in 2014 when I first thought of investing in Bitcoin as a long-term investment, and obviously was pressured out of it because everyone kept thinking it was a bubble that was about to burst. I'm starting to think about it again now that Bitcoin is starting to crash - and generally speaking in the past it's done quite well after crashes, recovering and increasing every once in a while.

What do you guys think? Is it worth it to give it a try? This would be my second crypto investment, and I'd be throwing in $5-10,000 at most. Any ideas?

You have been monitoring bitcoin since 2013 and you still wondering if to invest?  Crypto is not a fast dumb investment...  It's meant for the patient and smart investors. I believe bitcoin has crashed and now for me there is hope..  Learn to trade with bitcoin on exchange and you will be glad you did.  The crash is normal with crypto market,  dip pump dip pump..  So if you got the patient and smart enough,  you can invest in bitcoin. And make profit.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto advice needed on: March 19, 2019, 06:22:04 AM
Asides from electroneum,  the rest are nothing to write home about,  dump them if they still exist and get good stable coins,  you probably got them from bounties or airdrop,  so it's free,  sell them off and buy good coins,  so many of these shirts coins,  just moon for a short period and if you miss it,  then no point holding.  Just dump and move on.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrency in 2019 on: March 18, 2019, 08:00:09 PM
To get money,  you need money,  nothing is free,  you want to do bounty,  you use your data,  to trade you also need data...  My point is cryptocurrency is not totally free,  even in bounty.  To start up crypto trade,  bounty or any related to crypto,  you need a start up,  either for bounty as data or for trading with at least little experience. Crypto is widespread,  depends which area you want to make profit from.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing kills a coin? on: March 18, 2019, 03:32:51 PM
Listing does not kill a coin,  does that mean a coin should not go on exchange?,  it must go on exchange to sustain it,  if a coin dies due to listing,  then the dev did not did not work hard to sustain the coin,  when a coin is listed and it dumps, then give it some time,  it becomes stable..  But if it dies in the process,  it's either a scam project or the dev intentionally killed it.
