Added from first post but problem persists. Anyting else?

Blockchain snapshot is the best way to sync up. (You'll need to find it on the list)

--- Wallet work is coming along and with it the amendment of the IP addresses, which died since 2015. We are going to hassle all our friends from around the world to run a node for us, which will solve the No Block Source issue for new wallets.

Thanks for the walktrough,

But Im using minera on a raspberry-pie

Is that possible too?

Yes, You have to point your rig to a wallet pc if not where are you going to send the coins you mine?

If you want to solo mine just with a raspberry pi you need to install the wallet in it that it is a bit more complicated than installing it on Windows pc.

Right now i use my deposit adress at bittrex as my walet..
So Im not running my own walet...

In order to solo mining you need the wallet running and opened in server mode and a miner (rig) pointing to this wallet. Is the only way to do it. When you mine in a pool you are using the pool´s wallet, after mining the pool send the coins to the address you chose.

Indeed, solo mining needs to be pointed at a desktop wallet.

...
Supernova is working properly again!

Thanks for the update.

In other news: Some of you may have noticed the website links are pointed at www.emc2.foundation. -- WIP -- site.
(OP updated with link to this wallet as well) Until we host the wallet again ... here it is: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zjlvp9s02248hup/einsteinium-qt-latest.zip

EMC2 is still alive? if yes means is great and very profitable.

Very much so.

Where can I find a mining pool, and where can I mine solo?

https://emc2.suprnova.cc/index.php?page=statistics&action=pool

Suprnova is the only one left now and is actually the entire hash rate of EMC2. -  And they seem to be having issues.
We are investingating issues in the backend. Your shares and hashrate are safe and we will fix things ASAP.

Just this morning we have been looking at Scrypt Asic prices and looking to bring some miners to balance out.

https://asicminermarket.com/product/pre-a4-135-scrypt-litecoin-miner-low-power/ - in stock.

https://www.ehsminer.com/product/asic-scrypt-litecoin-miner-1024-mhs/ - Shipping Schedule: Estimated shipment date: Q2/Q3 2017.

----

I am aware of some folks asking about how to set up pool, and I have no answer as yet, but like many things we are looking for someone who knows more about it.
Solo mining is hard unless you have at the very least 20MH/s, current hash is 450MH/s.

hey emc2 look on the edge to be on track again  Smiley

also Just see its still on scrypt algo, did you consider update it to asic resistant one day?

Hey hey, we have given that some thought. I am aware that GPU miners are kings of this game after all Smiley

However, it would require someone who knows how to pull that off without breaking everything in the process and those are few and far between.
If I'm not mistaken it would most likely require a swap or hard fork of some sort, which is never fun.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | funding science | CoinFest UK Sponsor on: February 08, 2017, 12:23:55 PM
EMC2 never got a delisting banner from Bittrex and a lot of power players on Polo own some EMC2. -- For comparisons: GAME which is now a $15mil coin, actually got delisted from Trex twice Smiley

Plus we have Bob & Friends, which is really amazing and should keep delisting vultures away.

On the business side of things, it's getting serious now. Not making this up when I say, there is a lot that can be done with EMC2 branding.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EMC2] Einsteinium | funding science | CoinFest UK Sponsor on: February 07, 2017, 11:29:18 AM
They can publish some news or announcement at least

News:

Website hosting has expired and we are moving to a new host and the site will be managed by Blue Lab Inc.

Sponsorship of CoinFest UK in April is going ahead. I'm thinking of holding a presentation perhaps (this will depend on stage of development reached)

Thanks for the price rise whales.

Think that is all for the moment ...

PS: Just realised something ... http://coinmarketcap.com/ ... shit coins (rank 90 to 100 on cap) are at $1mil cap again .. unseen since 2014 days. So I guess EMC2 is going to become a shit coin .. onwards to $1meeelliiion dollahs ... Cheesy

Is now a good time to be buying into emc2. Whats next in the roadmap for the next 4 months?

I think this is the coin with real potential as it has simple, beautiful idea behind - to support science projects crowdfunding.
As it has never been used the current value is default value, so it is best time to get involved. It is already listed on most important exchanges, and people are taking care of 'paying a rent'.

In terms of roadmap, It is hard for me to stick to deadlines, but I do promise that I will work hard, already started, to bring all necessary software parts to existence so that coin can be of real use. It took me some time to recruit a team,  and I can tell you that guys are excited!

Best regards,
blue

What he said Cheesy

So ... here we are ... some months later. Things have their own schedule, and sometimes, only thing to do is wait. The experience gained by bluelab team over 18 months is going to make EMC2 one of the picks of 2017.

from Bittrex

This market is in danger of de-listing due to low trade volume and lack of user interest. It may be removed on Friday, January 27th 2017 unless the average daily trade volume for the last 14 days exceeds 0.5 BTC. If you would like to keep the market listed, please encourage the development team to contact us at support@bittrex.com. If you have questions about the policy, please see https://bittrex.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/202583874.

Thank you for the heads up!!

For everything that went wrong past 6 months, all I think about is not letting Bob down. Hopefully, I have something to impress soon.

The Bob is one of my favourite people. WYSIWIG = What You See Is What You Get.

Impressive to see 81mil EMC2 on sale on Polo. Doesn't even include the 20-22mil my backer dev & I own.

Nice volume today and the sell wall ran up to 200 sats. Might be mistaken but looks like Bob's crew is on Polo right now.
...............

Development wise ... it's a pain in the arse. Being asked for $3000 to update wallet to Core.

Hello,

If anyone would be interested in doing an interview or providing some information on EMC2 for an article, please PM me.  No charge.  I will send you a couple examples of recent articles I published.  I would post them here, but I don't want you to think I am trying to pump other currencies in this thread.

People don't really know EMC2 is being worked on and what the future plans are.  Let's tell them.

Thanks!

Hello again, we will definitely have something for you very soon. I am thankful for your offer.

..............

As it happens, we did want to post an update about posting an update.

Rather than go through everything one by one, we'll do a fancy post and newsletter and interviews and stuff.

Coming soon (TM) ...

Today I officially signed a 10 month lease on a lovely flat in Amsterdam. Story continues from here ... Cheesy

View from the flat ... it really does not get more ... Amsterdammy than this Cheesy

Sorry for the delay, OP is updated with the snapshot link and wallet verification numbers

Hi...any news ??

Work is being done for website, wallet a new goodies.

Greetings from Amsterdam again.

Got an invite to visit http://www.arnhembitcoinstad.nl this weekend, so will let my €15 return ticket lapse and stay another week to meet and greet crypto fans in glorious Holland.

These guys have Tesla cars like they are VW's/Fords ... and a fast charger on every corner almost. Why isn't the world more like Holland? Cheesy

We will update the OP with the authentication and a the latest snapshot provided soon.

Cheers.

Thank you kiklo, you are a star. Why I never thought to ask for this I have no idea.

Very busy doing stuff to secure my winter life without having to resort to dumping coins or *shudder* go back to work ...
Like all great stories, there may be trouble ahead .. Let's face the music and dance .. Smiley

Hope to arrange a meeting with the professors .. four of them and talk about coins probably next month, or early next year. We've managed to cook up a great dev team and bringing in new people to crypto, mostly IT folks so it's good. Except they are busy and lazy in equal measure ...

We call it "blazy", it's a way of life...  Grin

All great engineers are lazy, why else would they make things to avoid dong them again? Cheesy

Looks like one final alt push, looks like some more money got hacked and added to crypto. We may be looking at January BTC pump after all.

There is more than one way to skin a cat ... or for a cat to get down stairs Cheesy

On the above donation drive we are doing, there is an OKCash Lion willing to match every donation 1:1.  Lets get some funds moving guys!

Das ist sehr gut  Cheesy

I'll have to drop some funds in ... I'm guessing donated OK will be converted off-market into BTC? Bit short on BTC few days.

For anyone who can't get their wallet to sync, check the following:

Open the wallet and click on "Settings", "Options", "Network" and see if "Connect through Socks proxy" is checked. If it is, and most of you shouldn't need this, uncheck and click "Ok" then close and restart. I found this after pulling my hair out replacing blockchain and config files to no avail. Don't click "Apply", just click "Save" and restart. Mine synced very quickly after this.

Interesting thing is, I did not intentionally check this option. No guarantee but worth checking.

Proxy would mess up the connection, indeed. Good you have it figured out. Interestingly, that was not the issue on my side, still at a loss to explain why wallet had a stutter 2-3 weeks ago.

Think I am going to regret choosing KPMG and accounting over an IT startup in 2003 for the rest of my days ... another 50 years I am told Cheesy ... having to rely on coders is quite possibly the most soul wrenching experience in 17 years of work (and trust me when I say, I have seen everything in accounting .. everything)

- Cute cat image removed -

We all have things we will regret. Obtain more cats, it's good for the soul...
