101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Gaming and It's Future on: October 10, 2018, 10:55:36 PM
This combination is very promising in the case of the future work and income. Blockchain Gaming will get its own place on the market I am sure.

It seems to me that blockchain games have already gained their place in the market, they are now in great demand, in a few years the blockchain market will be even better

Many gaming ICO platforms were established through blockchain or adds blockchain as their feature. It's a good way to use crypto to purchase some add-ons for their game, as well some privileges in the game when you have tokens.

It sure is. And when people will complain that blockchain-based games are pay2win, I'll just say "Dude, have you even seen the situation on the freemium mobile games market?"
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Gaming and It's Future on: October 09, 2018, 09:26:57 PM
For me, the future will definitely be for this segment, where people will not only be able to play, but also to earn money for it, not for nothing there are companies that are now actively involved in this segment, and invest a lot of money in this direction

You are absolutely right, there will be a day for cryptocurrency in the World. As most of them are desperately looking for second investment these days, well this is the best one in my opinion.

You can already earn money playing this game, what`re you waiting for?
This is already reality, friends.

Yeah, right, i actually have some profits from some games. Now i'm waiting until they will have actual interesting gameplay.

Do you think that at the moment the gameplay is boring?
But when they add a clan system, raiding other people's mines - that will be cool.

I look at prospects of raiding other people with a hint of suspicion, if i am being honest. It's real money that will be raided off, so many players might not like that opportunity.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [AIRDROP] Ether Kingdoms (IMPs) crypto-game with PVP and 1%/day POS reward on: October 09, 2018, 09:17:12 PM
So the new leader board starts today? I wonder what new types of ranging devs`ll introduce later, so far they` re rather limited: win more IMPs, send more IMPs to battle, etc.
Could it be "dodge the most attacks" or "do the most extra attacks"? This way you should choose your gear to suit the requirement, not just to max your damage/health.

That's actually quite neat idea. Such change can make the game less one-dimensional, where only maxing your beatstick stats matter.

Also, do the most battles without artifacts? Fight with or without pets, etc. Could be anything, actually - we`ll see as they add more features.

BTW, speaking about artifacts - now it seems that items from previous leaderboards become obsolete. New common items are often cooler than rare ones from previous LBs.
Nobody will buy useless items, I believe devs should do something to the item system.

Yeah, something like transmutation system, when you combine like 5 items of given rarity, and get higher rarity one. This could make people actually buy commons from markets and sell them for more money, and with some luck get cooler (and more expensive) items from crappy ones.

P.S. new pets? I wonder what is the most suitable pet for an Imp could be.
As the opposite of CryptoKitties, my bet is on dogs. Namely, Welsh Corgis, Dachshunds or even pugs - basically, breed that seem more suitable to accompany Imps in the mines.

I think they should have some references to the media-culture. At least most items did.

Yeah, like those legendary artifacts, like Thor's hammer or Dr.Strange shield.

I like playing crusader kings 2, in my time off. Really pleasant and deep game, that keeps developing. Many hours i spent in there, and probably spend much more.

Well, that's promising. Bosses and clans - that's what I've been waiting for. I hope that enliven the gameplay for me, i was little bit tired from constant leaderboards.
Also worth mentioning the freemium system - that's pretty neat idea, actually. I've been struggling a bit at the beginning (ended up investing money, which relieved my sufferings a little Smiley ), but guidance for the newbies, and some samples of how the project will work, will definitely help fresh people. Liking the changes, as almost always. Keeping my eye on you, guys, and hopes too Smiley.
If only newbie guide've been there when i started. Had to learn everything the hard way  Tongue
Like getting my butt handed to me in the leaderboards when i started to try PVP-ing.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Gaming and It's Future on: October 05, 2018, 10:13:20 PM
I personally did not try out the games, I do a little different and I do not have time for this! but I will say one thing: I see new game projects appear more and more! every year the capitalization of gaming platforms is constantly growing! Play 2 Life - this is one of the most promising sites associated with games! This token has a very large growth pot! games are the future, especially with such technologies!))
Try out something else, my friend! Play2Life looks interesting, and definitely can take it's place in projects worth mentioning.
109  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukraine plans to impose a tax on the operations with cryptocurrency on: October 04, 2018, 07:48:05 PM
How do they do that though? If all operations are encrypted, how would they know how much BTC, ETH or whatever was transferred. And how would such tax count: at the time of transaction, or at the time of paying the tax? Because we all know how volatile crypto is, someday you'll sell BTC, for example, for 7k$, then, at the end of fiscal year it will cost 10k$. Whats then?
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain Gaming and It's Future on: October 04, 2018, 07:38:45 PM
Personally I feel that all of the blockchain games currently available are far too limited to really appeal to the masses. Not only are the limited in their scope and replyability, but all seem to have the same common theme of either gambling, collecting or trading. We need some traditional type games to integrate blockchain into the mix, such as a huge AAA type game to really get the public interesting in the technology of blockchain. I don't see this happening within the next 2-3 years.
Is 2 or 3 years that big of a term? I mean, looking at crypto development in particular, you can say that it had lived for about 5 years as for now. The tech in this field is booming, though, so i expect REAL games with blockchain integrated in the next year.
111  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is money the root of all EviL? on: October 04, 2018, 07:23:14 PM
Root of evil is lack of morals or common sense in some people, so they misuse such means as money or guns, or media platforms for their own good, while ignoring others' probable suffering.
112  Other / Off-topic / Re: how to stop addict in gambling ? serious question on: October 04, 2018, 06:14:15 PM
Usual advise is to replace the addiction with another, that isn't harmful to a person. Some sports maybe, or tabletop games (really cranks your excitement), etc. Just to make yourself forget about what was destroying your life.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: Are loans - part of debts? on: October 04, 2018, 06:05:58 PM
I usually see and hear people use term debt in a bad sense; loan, on the other hand is the "business" term, without real negative impact. But in the nature of things, loans ARE debts, no matter how you look at it, or wiggle around it.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: You cannot eat your cake and have it on: October 03, 2018, 09:32:40 PM
The mantra about people not investing more than what they can afford to lose, has been repeated 1000"s of times on this

forum and also on other platforms, so the people that ignored this advice and still sold valuable assets to fund Crypto

investments are just greedy individuals. You can eat all the cake you want, just leave some for the future and do not spend

all your savings to buy these cakes.  Cool

Yeah, people never learn from others mistakes, rarely from their own, and listening to the unknown peoples' advise... Well, tell me if that ever happened.
115  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you think that challenges improves a person's character? on: October 03, 2018, 09:23:11 PM
What exactly do you mean by improving? I'd say Hitler did have many challenges in his life, but they improve him? I reeaaaaly can't say so.
It really depends on the circumstances of such challenges. Sometimes people can't overcome them, so it really breaks them. So to answer your question, no i don't think challenges improves persons' character often.
116  Other / Politics & Society / Re: A solution to surviving the AI Apocalypse on: October 03, 2018, 09:09:55 PM
First thing to know in any apocalypse is how the "enemy" thinks and treats people. If it's aggressive or peaceful, how it behaves, etc. You will still need food, water, but seeing as it is AI apoc, world is probably intact-ish. So if there isn't much killing machines patrolling around, then it's trivial task of not staving to death i think.

Hmm, valid point. In my most recent Stellaris campaign,  I started teraforming captured worlds into a machine worlds (for increased resource production). Tbf, normally I purge natives first.

Well then, i'd say we are doomed in such scenario - if only "world government" doesn't have some weapon that can stop interstellar invaders that will instigate Machine Uprising, we have no real chance of surviving.

118  Other / Off-topic / Re: What's your favorite sport car? on: October 03, 2018, 08:35:58 PM
Since i was a kid, i was astounded by the sheer power of Bugatti. Man, those horses, and speeding to 100. And the design, it was something revolutionary to me, alien even. So that's my pick, obviously.

120  Other / Politics & Society / Re: IQ tests for internet users would make the internet safe (and this board empty) on: October 01, 2018, 08:18:51 PM
IQ tests aren't objective at all, it was proven many times before. Many people, who are actually really smart in life can't do IQ tests very well, it's just that they abstract thinking developed differently, or not so much at all. On the other hand you can pick whatever person is shitposting on the internet, and he will probably show you an average IQ score.
