The NHL Totals for games were only up for 2 games...what happened?
103  Economy / Gambling / Re: AnoniBet Sportsbook on: February 24, 2013, 03:53:08 AM
@sbrzol

Traditional books will put Winning players on a delay before making bets and deal dual lines..this is quite common.  Have you been crushing anonibet?
104  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bit365.eu - Reduced Juice BTC Sports Betting - No Registration - Fast Payouts on: February 24, 2013, 03:51:09 AM
blockbet has had better totals in the last few days in NBA and NHL.

Lol at people comparing lines of bit365 to pinny...no one can touch pinny.  Compare 365 to other traditional books...bookmaker, 5dimes, legends, dsi, and heritage.  Pinny in a league of their own.  Sad thing, is USA cannot play at pinny.

I saw a thread on sbrforum today and the dude raised question about blind betting.  After you place the bet and the odds change...do you keep track of what the bet pays out when bet is placed?

if tonight at 2am, I place wager on the nucks @ -149 and this line closes @ -188..I get paid on the -149 and not the closing line of -188?
109  Economy / Gambling / Re: BlockBet.net - BTC Sportsbook - No account needed, bets up to 10 BTC accepted on: February 21, 2013, 12:15:10 AM
yes.  The wagers time is recorded by the bitcoin clients wallet. The transaction can be verified at blockchain.info.
110  Economy / Gambling / btcsportsbet changes request on: February 19, 2013, 09:56:34 PM
Hi,

1. you need to lower your lowest bet to compete with blockbet and bit365.  Right now I can bet 0.01 at blockbet and bit365.
Btcsportsbet has a 0.5 minimum bet and this is just way to high for many bettors.  Sometimes I just want to bet $5 on a game and not $15.

2. your line offerings are much smaller then either blockbet or bit365. In NHL, you do not offer regulation time bets or team totals. blockbet and bit365 offer more lines.

3. you do not do parlays and blockbet does.

I have quit betting at btcsportsbet because blockbet and bit365 now offer more lines and allow for smaller wagers and parlays.

However, to be fair, btcsportsbet has really good email customer service.  They are very quick to get back to you.  Blockbet and bit365 appear to use the forums as their customer service portal.

111  Economy / Gambling / Re: BlockBet.net - BTC Sportsbook - No account needed, bets up to 10 BTC accepted on: February 19, 2013, 09:47:35 PM
blockbet.net works nicely.  However, one big complaint.

You need to use a different address for each match.  I am using the bitcoin wallet and when I send coins, the label part is auto filling in because I have labeled that address already.  This is very annoying as it makes keeping track of your wagers in the transaction log more time consuming.

Other then  that it is pretty good so far!

Now, if you would get NHL Team totals, first to score prop and puck line then I would not need to bet anywhere else. Currently bit365 offers NHL team totals and more options then blockbet Sad

Yes, this is digital code w/ security code.

I sold a few of these a few weeks ago.  Here is the thread.

If you do decide to buy, as in my other thread, please post success for future buyers. Thanks.

I will take $45 in BTC for the $50 newegg gift card.

Team to score first is a great prop.  I hope it gets added soon Smiley
115  Economy / Speculation / why I sold my bitcoins.... on: February 17, 2013, 07:02:45 AM
I sold a nice chunk of my bitcoins recently.  The reason I did this stems from my thinking that bitcoins @  27-28 are way overpriced and I wanted to cashout before it crashes.

Bitcoins biggest selling points are its ability to be anonymous and decentralized.  Most people do not care about this.  The only services currently offered that really are served by bitcoins biggest assets are illegal ones--Gambling and Silk Road.  The current run up is 95% related to speculation that "everyone will get rich by just buying and hoarding bitcoins".  This will end like the last run up--crashing down to reality.

Ask the latte drinking hipsters why bitcoin is such a good investment.  They will spill out some rubbish that sounds partially coherent but in the end--still rubbish.  Again, the two biggest beneficiaries of bitcoin are gambling websites and silk road.  However, most people can already gamble via offshore or its legal in their country and most people wanting to obtain drugs can do so without using silk road or bitcoin.  Therefore, the biggest forces currently moving bitcoin (gambling and silk road) are really niche services and service a small percentage of those possible users.

Other forces at work that will undermine bitcoin will come from amazon's new currency that they have started promoting.  If amazon had taken bitcoin as a form of payment then perhaps a larger circle could have been drawn that would have propelled bitcoin out of the niche, geek, and fringe reality.  Instead that did not happen.

With this being said, I see value of bitcoin at a much smaller price then 27-28.  I see it as being valued at 5-6 per bitcoin and this is quite generous.  Bitcoin will descend back into the fringe and this is why I sold all of my bitcoins.  27 is bigger then 5 or 6.

PS. now there will be some people who will post 5 charts that show bitcoin going to the stars and state that the fundamentals are all there for an explosive growth in this new technology.  Rubbish. They are just shamelessly promoting their current holdings much like those shameless "gold is the answer" charlatans.  If you continue to hold and lose your proverbial bum--blame no one but yourself Smiley

bit365,

I forgot about the .5 btc max bet.  I bet 1.17 for pens vs jets in 1period over 1.5.

I also bet 1.21 for pens vs jets over 5.5.

Will both bets be refunded since it was over the .5 max bet?

I have seen two different lines for the same game today at bit365....are you sure that the lines do not change?Huh
120  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bit365.eu - #1 in BTC Sports Betting Options - No Registration - Fast Payouts on: February 14, 2013, 06:43:25 PM
Currently blockbet and btcsportsbet have better lines.  Last night, on the one nba game I played, bit365 had the best line near game time.

I think everyone should shop around.  Right now blockbet has some very good lines in NHL.

How do the lines compare at close?
