I think there is no need for panic here, its totaly normal that the price stays at around this levels for the next few days maybe even a couple of weeks. Mint was at the 6sat level for more then 10 days, blackcoin was dumped to 500sat and stayed there for more then a week. Its totaly normal that we see ECC stays at 4/5/6 sat for some time.
And this is actualy good cuz this brings more people into the community. When people see low price, they buy and then they start being more interested in the coin etc.
Also right now Blackcoin is in the spotlight, everyone is looking at it and trying to daytrade. So ECC's volume of 30+ BTC/day is still very good, mint's volume is just around 10.

This coin's launch was pretty much perfect, the dev is working really hard and the community is growing. Things will happen but it takes some time.
Just hold it, support it and this coin will have a bright future.

Now time to think for those who sold 1 satoshi...

I say sell now and buy back at 100 satoshi

That's THE question.
Since we have like 20 ecologic and sustainable coins -and not a single one is a real currency, I can tell you that this answer is still not out there.

Look at Peercoin. Big, sustainable, big community but you cannot buy a bread around the corner.
There is Mintcoin, Earthcoin, Greencoin oh whatever... all these coins claim to be a currency, but for now they are just an asset, made by greedy people to make the fast money!

I was part of the community of earthcoin, made some stuff, and tried to understand the real meaning behind all these coins but all I found was greed. Even if people tell you that there is a bigger picture. nope. there is no bigger picture. everyone wants to get rich. period.

1. The price of ALL coins usually falls down
2. It rises when people are told to get rich by buying and mining it (short pump). As soon as possible, they mine, buy, or get them from whereever and dump it when they can get profits.

3. Nearly all coins are traded against BTC such as Doge/BTC EAC/BTC ECC/BTC.
    Apart from brand they all are going down due to this fact. People want to make fast BTC,
    Ergo: Even a big community like Doge, its big brand and all these millions of fans cannot drive the price higher as long as it is being traded against BTC

4. Every coin looks for adoption.
    Adoption comes through merchants and places where you can buy REAL things for a coin.
    That's where real value is created. Adoption and places to spend coins for real things.

5. Coins need to be traded for FIAT to create value.
   Ergo: Create an exchange where your coin can be bought for Dollar/Euro/Yuan/Rubel whatever.

So either you guys try to find thousands of merchants, which are engaged by others for sure, and make your own ECC/$ exchange or this asset will remain an asset and will die a slow and boring death with all the phases a coin comes trough.

This market is hard because the networking-effect of bitcoin is hard to fight. Even harder will it be to create a real currency, while all the greedy dickheads are out there.

I'd say it's not about some mining more than others, that will always be a given. But 45 days of mining at low difficulty with no halving allows those with more powerful rigs (which there are plenty of people with these) to amass tens of millions. Some already have 40+ million in a week, imagine in 6.5 weeks? Mint Coin offered 20% interest and look at what happened to them once the whales decided to dump their coins when the mining period was over. What do you think is going to happen when the big boys having more ECC coins when compared to Mint decide to dump their coins, which they invariably will.

I'm holding ECC for the short and long term, but just the sheer number of coins in circulation after 45 days is concerning, at least in my opinion.

nobody does understand that you must spread the hashrate a little bit?

as a serious investor, i would not invest in a coin with hashrate so badly spreaded...
you do what you want, but i guess miners are being interested in growing value?

spreaded hashrate -> trust -> more people -> coins much more distributed between much more people -> much more people interest -> much more value -> PoS not failing -> everybody's happy.
that's the logic.

we're only at the beggining, but PoW phase won't be long.
