Just to say I got all my SYS back from Mintpal with no problems at all. Yes please devs, check out AT txs.

I have / had 92100 SYS on M2. Shudder to think how it feels for those who lost high value coins and amounts. I stick with Poloniex now. Got dangly bits out of old Cryptorush just in time. I'm hoping VIA coin with Clearwallet/Clearinghouse will get a decentralised exchange up soon. Good luck to everyone getting coins back from Mintpal2.

why is the price so low now?
low demand. Obvious question. Why is demand so low? Other coins are enjoying considerable rises despite btc falls. Maybe VIA needs to tell the world about what niche it will fill? Thay can't arrest you for it, well, not yet anyway.

Time to be free of these arrogant, greedy American corps. Somebody please develop a decentralised autonomous ISP DAC.running on a 2.0 platform. Then meshnet or whatever it ends up being called. Not impossible. I hope it will be soon.

I got into VIA when I saw that Treechains might be a key feature. Yes, VIA is super fast but I don't see any coin taking over from btc anytime soon. BTC is way, way ahead even though it has some problems. Maybe coins can share some of the space but I don't believe any single coin will dominate other than btc. I guess regulation and some sort of bridging with FIAT will have to be agreed so as to gain greater adoption. I do believe that collaboration and some degree of integration with existing systems is the future and, for alt coins, it's going to be about providing innovation in platform 2.0 development. If Maidsafe, as an example, gets off the ground and works, any coin using that network will automatically be anonymous or do I have it all wrong? Why all the fuss about anon? If VIA comes up with a platform that allows "apps" to be "installed" which use only small amounts of the VIA blockchain and can do the rest on "chains" it will be doing things BTC can not ( will not? ) do and, again, maybe I have it all wrong, but if VIA runs on Maidsafe or Etherium, isn't it win win? VIA has Peter Todd contributing and VIA has a clean record. I posted earlier to ask if VIA aims to be a stand alone or collaborate with other projects and what came out of meeting with Peter Todd. Innovations on this coin look good so far.

Thanks for that reply. I do actually intend to allow cobwebs to form on my HYP which I staked from day 1. Even with low market price I can see your point that I would still come out pretty well. Let's face it, where else offers that percentage? So, yes, I'm happy to take part in the experiment. Guess I was just looking for reasoned reassurance which you have provided. Thanks.

Looks better and better. I would like to know what came of the meet with Peter Todd and if there is any news about treechains. Also, I'm curious to know in what ways VIA might work with, for example, Etherium, Maidsafe etc or is the intention to be a stand alone.

In the case of HYP I would like to buy some, stake and then sell. Maybe I'm completely missing the point here but all the talk is about 70% interest which, it seems to me, is subject to selling price of HYP. So, I buy 1.0 HYP for .00001010. I stake according to time limits etc and end up with 1.7 HYP (max) which I then try to sell at todays price .00000715 (if I'm only selling 1.7 HYP and not 50,000 HYP) I get .00001216 and I'm up .00000206. About 20%. If I wanted to sell 50000 HYP, I would be completely screwed. I may be missing some esoteric knowledge here and I'd like to be educated. Help please. Sorry, probably need to add that this is absolutely NOT any type of fud. Just trying to grasp how to make the most of an innovative experiment.

We might possibly avoid this thread descending into a bleep fest again if we Don't reply Don't quote. Use ignore feature. Just a suggestion for a more positive and peaceful life.

Still almost 60k short for the fund. Does this amount to a no vote by the community?

OK I've a bottle of Jack Daniels on standby. If this turns out to be a scam, I'll apply JD and roll around laughing at the sheer cajones of the guy! If it's a winner, I'll apply JD and roll around laughing at the sheer good fortune of getting in early. Still need just short of 70k VER in the fund.

+1 Time to dig in pockets and get fund up to 500k. So near.......... Let's go for it.

My 10% has gone in. Already fund is 425,000 plus. Not bad.

It seems to me that the debate is really over. The devs are behind this idea and the fund indicates that enough active VRC holders support it too. There is a lot of information around about SuperNET and James so people should examine it and do their research on what is a complex idea. He certainly produces results. He does come across as an egotistical psycopath but then so do all the most successful people on Wall St. and James appears to have a bank balance to support his ego. He is determined to remain anonymous. It's not up for debate. I guess he takes no prisoners. Everything is a gamble in crypto. The writing on the wall seems to be that collaboration, merging and integration is the way forward. VRC could become the shop window to digital currencies with visible devs and ease of access. VeriBank, ATMs, credit and debit cards, gateway into and out of digital. VeriBridge whatever. I think individual coins have to find their key niche market, keep focus and be the best there is in that space. Competition is about to get serious. VRC got badly damaged recently. TBH not looking very good but devs have been in stealth mode for a while and ninja might be on it's way, or not. That's the benefit and drawback of ninja. So, this SuperNET could be a complete scam and VRC would have to be the fall guy or it could be a touch of genius and the way to go. I challenge anyone to be certain either way. Place your bets. I'll give it a go but I'm small fry with not a lot to lose. Good luck to everyone. ps. I hope the God of Smote screws the guys that screwed VRC on MP in the first place.

There seem to be quite a few people out there who don't yet realise that VIA is so much more than a coin. I'm waiting for treechains to emerge and show what can be done. Im new to viacoin, can you please elaborate with facts and figures? We are all new to VIA. It's only a few weeks old. Have a look at http://blog.viacoin.org/2014/09/05/project-update.html. We all need to do our own research for facts and figures. I believe VIA will not disappoint. Good luck.

CustodyChains sounds fascinating. Not sure what it is or will do in practice but if it is intended as some means of storing confidential records eg medical, criminal, financial etc. I hope that the data can only be accessed by named, authorised individuals and that their authorisation and any instance of their utilising their authorisation will be recorded on the blockchain. Leave no room for plausible deniability here please. Professionals have been known to "share" information with "colleagues". But, maybe CustodyChains have nothing to do with such data storage so I am barking up the wrong treechain.
