I dunno, we were at the peak of an epic bullish rise in December 2017. We were at the absolute, depressing low of the last bear market in December 2018. It seems December 2019 is like neither of the above, just an accumulation phase. The halving is in May 2020, the current situation is probably more similar to December 2015 or December 2016 (i.e. nothing-ness). Allright then! ACcording to Gann theory the 22th December is very important. Maybe some whales who are rich AF do know this or they just buy or trade before this 22th dec date. 2017 and 2018 december were not the only bottoms. It's 2013 the bottom (flash crash) and in 2016 it was before the pump. |

Bitcoin Anniversary on the 15th or 16th December. 1 year from the bottom $3100 15th dec 2018. 2 year anniversary from the top $20.000 15/16 dec 2017. A guess the 15th Dec is very important for Bitcoin. On that day it bottomed at 3.1k. Not only that. On the same day 15/16 Dec it made ATH - all time high at almost 20k. The 15th/16th Dec is very near. Do you think that it will have the same impact on the price? Is this date only coincidence? Or maybe whales are watching anniversaries and decide to make a move? Maybe a reversal? Let's see if anything happens.

It really is. The TA guy I co-write on a website with loves it because you can make anything say anything using Gann. I mean, that's not how he would put it, but crypto traders love a good tea leaf reading, and Gann is great for that. Here's an excerpt from a short article he wrote on 1440 day cycles and how the apply to bitcoin. Gann was big on cycles. He was big on numbers. Specific numbers were significant to his analysis. Many of his numbers are Biblical, due to Gann’s staunch faith. It is no surprise that he placed considerable emphasis on the numbers 7, 9, 12, and 144 (there are others). So it should be no surprise that, so far, the number 1440 is of extreme importance. Why? Let’s look.
February 6th, 2010 – the first official Bitcoin exchange is launched. Why do I use this date as a starting point and not Bitcon’s white-paper date, genesis block date, or anything else before February 2010? Because in all of Gann’s work, when analyzing market cycles, the stock exchanges and their ‘birthday’ are used.
Fast forward 1440-days (the actual number is 1,396), and we get Bitcoin’s first important and significant all-time high around December 5th, 2013 – the Mt. Gox high.
From the Mt. Gox high in 2013, fast forward another 1440 (actually 1467) days to the current all-time high for Bitcoin on December 17th, 2017.
1440-days from December 17th, 2017? November 28th, 2021. I like this thread a lot, there's some interesting stuff in here, should probably check in more often. Do you know what happens on the eleventh and 12th year? I could only find for the 1-10 year cycle. |

It looks like a fortune telling but i saw youtube video telling that bitcoin is about to top at the end of 2017 because of the 10th year. But the video was published before the ATH. It's weird but if it works i wouldn't mind if Harry Potter explains this theory. Anyone here knows more about Gann theory? I would reward him or her with merit. I would like to know what happens at the 11th and 12th year when the 10th year cycle ends? Thank you for the merit mindrust. |

Gann's theory suggests buying the possible dip before the angels touch the next spectrum which will follow the price after the $11250. The Gann theory is widely used in stock and forex technical analyze, is it same for BTC charts? Any ideas?  P.s: Photo is from Twitter. Yeah, but where is the twitter link? or the twitter user. It is better practice to attempt to give appropriate credit, even to the re-tweeting of the ideas came from someone else. By the way, the Gann theory visual looks quite pretty on that graph, but I am a bit unclear what the theory would be saying in that particular visual. Members attempt to employ all kinds of technical analysis that involves the drawing of lines, and surely there are going to be times in which the lines help to bring the matter of BTC price performance into perspective, yet with any theory, we have to take them with grains of salt, and surely there are a variety of theories in bitcoin that attempt to combine technical analysis and fundamentals in order to come up with relatively convincing price description and prescription models... of course, we don't know for sure if any of the models or theories are going to play out in the longer term until time passes that might lend more or less credibility to the model, theory or even tools that might be employed to come up with theories and models. Technical analysis in a nutshell: -It will go up, down or sideways. I am yet to see a TA which says something different. It is always the same. May go up, may go down, may go sideways. *Alright sometimes they say it can go backwards too. I googled Gann theory and it says that the 9th year is the most bullish year. Bitcoin 9th year was 2017! Year 10 is a bear year (2018). We are at the end of 11th year. It's interesting. Important days from the tops 90 days there is a bottom at this day and 150 day from the 14k top. The next important day is around 22th of December when bitcoin gets to the important 180th day from the 14k top and Gann theory says that 22th Dec is important no matter if it's the 180th day or not. |

By the way:
This week i was up for a visit to the bank. A bank of which i am not a customer of.
As i don't really want to keep my seeds and (future) paper wallets at home, i asked for the price of a safe and if the contents are insured an all.
Mr. bankster asked me about the value and physical size of the entities i plan to put in there, so i said it would be foldable paper and a handful of items of the size of a matchbox. When he asked me for the value, which determines price and insurance, i said it is volatile in value and it might be anything between x1 (by current btc price) and x100 or even more in the next 30-50 years. So Mr. bankster said he has to contact his boss, who is the local manager of the safe, who in turn should call me on the same afternoon for speaking about details and possibilities.
I never heard of them again, no call from either of the two.
Well, this leaves me with the impression that safes seem to be a pain in the ass for banks (or this bank only, idk).
I found it quite unfair to base the price to rent a safe on the value of the content. Insurance, yes, that didn't surprise me that much. Seems like they out the amount which was estimated the value of the safe contents for. I can't just pay only for the safe and insurance covers the value of all that's in it, in case of physical desctruction, theft and loss. Bank safes are not for the storage of valuables. It’s in the terms and conditions. I kid you not. Also the #1 way to lose bitcoins is to have a passphrase that is not written down. Best way is to split the seed into 2 parts and store multiple copies into multiple geographically separated locations, preferably offshore or at least at the other end of the country. Yeah! That's what i did! I Have separated my passphrase into 2 parts and stored them 1 in Africa, 1 in Europe , 1 Jamaica under the palm tree, 1 Antartica under the thick ice, 1 half on this forum and i told the other half to Satoshi Nakamoto because he won't tell anyone. |
