101  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Observer Effect (over $1000 by 16 June) on: June 02, 2014, 02:17:40 AM

TERA did not think we would see a run up in November either.  If anything, we should take this as very bullish news that confirms our suspicions!  Wink

See thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=294625.msg3165590#msg3165590
I just added that chart to my TARA-bear macro.
102  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Observer Effect (over $1000 by 16 June) on: June 02, 2014, 12:57:31 AM

I definitely see the pattern but , will it continue , who knows. I would not base my trading based on this. But its rly interesting.
Lets just hope this rly gets true. Well done for this great graph.

Thanks - I can keep updating it if anyone is interested.

TERA seems to think we will not see a July run-up... good news is we will know either way within a month's time.
TERA seems to think like this:

The rise of 2013 was much higher than the rise of 2012.  Some people keep speaking of the obvious "line" on the log chart. However I am having trouble finding this line and in fact I can draw several lines which would allow btc to go much lower than it is now before going up again. I have plotted a couple for reference.

The low volume and the lack of significant bid depth on mtgox that continues to fail to fill in above 125 seems to confirm my suspicion that it isn't ready to go higher at this point. I think this ordeal with the bid depth was an inflection point for this Jul-Aug rally.

My new view of the market:

I wouldn't be suprised to see flat for an entire year.
TERA needs to take anti-depressants.
103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Weekly MACD to turn green on next candle on: June 01, 2014, 05:11:50 AM
Don't pre-empt MACD. It's not designed for that. Only respond to it once it's actually happened and confirmed. It's not really a good indicator to use when things are moving fast.
Don't be stupid. When you see a giant green spike sticking out of the deep like a ten foot dong, that MACD is going shoot up with its eyes popped open.

Everyone having fun except Teara. Shocking development.

Tera and fun don't come in same sentence.

Tell her that when she's trading from the deck of her yacht in Monaco harbour.

I still wouldn't party with her tbh. I'd do it on my own yacht though Grin
I wouldn't party with me either. I am too analytical. And bitcoin has destroyed me as a person by causing me stress all the time - even when I am in a winning position my minds is stressed out due to the flood of data I have to keep up which runs 24/7 outside of my control.  I feel like I can never party again until I leave bitcoin.

You're taking it too serious despite doing well and being in great profits. Just relax a bit, we made enough money to be less stressed than you are.
I can't help it. I keep trying to not look at the charts but every time I haven't watched the chart in a while, I get this gut lurching feeling, like a feeling that I might have left the oven on and the house could burn down. I feel cursed and tied to an obsessive activity forever now. I have gained money at the expensive of happiness . Money != happiness.
You know this forum isn't the best place for psychotherapy, and we give you exactly what you give us... so it shouldn't come as any surprise to you that your negative attitude (without basis in reality) causes others to treat you negatively.

TERA's psychic abilities demonstrated:

My new view of the market:

I wouldn't be suprised to see flat for an entire year.

Need I say more?

Regarding volume, I tried to register for Bitstamp a few months ago, and it asked me for a scan of my passport and social security card.

That's not only a no, it's a "Fuck No".

That with the rumored difficulty of withdrawing, Bitstamp's KYC procedure has effectively killed off its volume.
108  Economy / Speculation / Re: 610-620 in 2 days on: May 30, 2014, 05:22:22 PM
nice prediction Grin
maybe we'll see little correction after this

109  Economy / Speculation / Re: A break-out? on: May 30, 2014, 04:29:00 PM

That isn't just *any* MACD indicator. It's a 1-week one. What that means is that it isn't predicting what's happening, it's TELLING you. That kind of momentum doesn't turn around in a few days - or even a few weeks - unless Bitcoin blew up technically.

You make lots of valid points, but.....

It might change course, but only as fast as the world's biggest supertanker at full speed.

And in that time that it takes to turn and change course, Bitcoin could be down 50%.
I'm sure there will be $200 bitcoins waiting for you at the end of the rainbow.

This is the consolidation phase in which we kick out the margin traders one by one. I'm chilling.

Dark Wallet has arrived.

Where is your God now, Darkcoin?
113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Bitcoin Analyst on: May 28, 2014, 12:34:37 AM
I guess your rant a few days ago about if others are ever correct, it means it was pure luck means no.

We are not talking about trashing people with 'other investment' strategies here.

The Bitcoin Nutter doesn't have an investment strategy.

The Bitcoin Nutter has hype, hope, and denial.....

......and nothing else.

The Bitcoin FUDer doesn't want to invest in Bitcoin.

The Bitcoin FUDer's "investment strategy" is betting that bitcoin is a scam, phad, trival.

The Bitcoin FUDer is chicken shit, unimaginative, and obviously wrong.

I bet on a bitcoin Nutter over a FUDer anyday of the week.

What I really dont understand that with so much hate & negativity is why do they still hang around like an old fart in a poorly ventilated room

Its like bitcoin has hurt them in some way and they want revenge .....I would like to quietly point out that bitcoin is a technology and not your abusive farther/mother

It's simple, they're daytraders, shorters... basically people who have something to gain from spreading FUD and driving prices down.

It's part of their strategy, and no matter how scummy or counterproductive it is to the rest of us, they will continue because they have something to gain from it.

Looks like the next 12-48 hours will test this rally's local support line.

If that support fails, then the next stop is the 2013 support.
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 27, 2014, 07:41:52 PM
Everyone, chill out. Let's take a look at the bigger picture.
I think the BitFinex-related dump was a good test of the support.

The coordinates forming the trenline bottom is:
May 19th 07:00 @ $442
May 27th 02:00 @ $550

If this support holds, and barring any bogeyman event, then we should be seeing $600 as support in the next 8-9 days.

600$ in 8-9 days ? I think more like 3-4 days . Anyways should hit 600$ rly soon. And this "pump and dump" osculations are great for trading .

He says $600 as support Wink
+1 point to reading comprehension.

Lets just, ignore Jorge. Shall we? It would be such more of a blast to read through this thread without people going into an endless discussion with him. He/she/it wont ever admit anything, even at fault. So yeah, ignore?  Kiss
+2 He's a paid bank shill.
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: The rise has stopped.. on: May 27, 2014, 05:37:44 PM
always the same:

pump:to da moon

dump:bitcoin finished

Who said we are finished? Who in this whole damn thread even once implied that the rally was over?

Nobody! Nobody came to that conclusion except the bulltards.

Indeed Segeln, I believe that you should have a good chance here of breaking even. That is right, breaking even. Set a sell order to trigger on some exchange at around $750, and you might just get out of this with your shirt still on your back......before we go much further down.

Primary Wave [A] $1160 - $340
Primary Wave [B.] $340 - $800
Primary Wave [C] $800 - $240

U heard it here first!

 Wink
Nice try DanV.

Back to 582 on Stamp now.
So are you still sticking by your prediction?
120  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 27, 2014, 05:23:56 PM
Isn't it fishy that the moment the market approaches 600... BitFinex conveniently experience a database failure, causing panic and margin traders to close their position?

The house always wins.
Sorry i ahve to agree ..there was 2 shakings of the tree and finally after it had been thinned out the big dump

Clear out all margined longs ...does not go below 550 so as to not scare everbody too much & now back to the same ~570 and climbing

bitfinex
500plus is an etf that trade btc ltc

I gotta say Specialists aka Market makers aka insider traders aka dodgy exchanges

Definately feels like a rigged carny game to me

P.S I am old school & own coins so as not get caught in these lovely traps Wink
I've been there since 2011.

My only two actions have been:
1. Buy
2. Buy More

I can move the market by a few dollars if I wanted to, but it's a one-shot deal and when it comes to money, there is no fucking around.
