101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My model of an ideal investment portfolio on: May 23, 2024, 10:54:52 PM

There is quite a some repetition in your investment plan as I can say Bitcoin investment, either hodling for a circle or using it for some tech awareness and innovation campaign is actually still the same thing but, it’s nice you have these thoughts for yourself and the people around you.

Something that I find really enticing is the fact that, you choose to update and upgrade your skill set in your craft.
That’s the one thing that truly differentiates an individual from the next. What skill set you’ve got and how relevant it is in a society that is constantly advancing. Hence, having to seek improvement is a step towards the right direction as, it would serve some purpose that your investment might not.

Also, having to benefit from someone’s philanthropy and initiative towards growth in a locality and with a dream to do so, reflect the same help you got to your people is truly a dream. Hope you stay true to your course and watch your society grow.

The Abaiii12 and co drama continues - can we let it go already, it's derailing the thread. All evidence against him are too good not to be true.
I believe it is important to allow even cheaters to mount a defense. Usually, it ends up with them just digging a deeper hole for themselves. Of course, than you feel stupid that you wasted time on them in first place. Altering the pizza bill is a new low in my book. I mean no matter where you live and how much money you have I am sure you are buying or making pizza quite regularly.
It really does happen you know. There they were, speaking of chats and before you could respond, you had someone do your biding and make the work all Juicy.

The Bottler league will start with the second chance league ( second WC) so I'm advising everyone to manage their chips properly. I'm glad all of you enjoyed it and want to make it a thing already.  Grin
So what is the qualification to enter the bottlers league?
Trofo, your not qualified, period!

Thanks again everyone who has joined the bottlers league. Everyone who has joined made their payment. I hope that we create a league with the same 5 people again next year. It was very easy for me to win the league (Please don't remind me that I won by 1 point. Tongue).
Oh! It’s a deficiency I and Igebotz just suffered this season. Losing by a single point. In the cheating scandal of the twelves, I was just a point down from the move ups. Took way too much hit for people that didn’t matter like Gvardiol for Walker and he gave me only 2 points, Burns of Newcastle got a yellow card and got me burnt to zero. It was a close one but, come August, I’ll like to see what forward moves I can make for the next season.

Bottlers League, I supposed the top 10 wouldn’t get to feature, so the bottlers really get to have a chance than, having to fatten CLS63’s wallet like you all have been doing in the days past.

I racked up 705 points from 9 GWs now imagine what I will get from 38 GWs from next season. Kidding aside if I don't make it to the bottler league requirement I'm only going to create it without participating - possible?
Most definitely but, chances are that, you would make it eventually.  Grin

Lookman is on fire and he has scored the second goal to make it 2-0 for Atalanta. It is quite surprising to see how Atalanta was able to score two goals within 15 minutes, and Leverkusen cannot clap back. I don't see this as the Leverkusen that has being unbeaten in Germany. Is it that Leverkusen will do a come back in the second half and win the game or what. I want to see the magic that Leverkusen will do from now till 90 minutes. Otherwise, Atalanta have messed up their unbeaten record and also win the competition.
It’s by far an important game for him and his career, clearly a place to star and he sure did, he showed that he fits the bill. His first goal wasn’t very impressive given that, it was all about a matter of position and the defense didn’t check his shoulders properly, giving Lookman an opportunity to run in and take that shot.
His second goal however was absolutely amazing. It all started from a misplaced pass and he got lined to go solo, tried a couple of impressive moves to get himself a good sight at goal, went for the far corner and scored. He was just impressive.

It’s an awful way for Bayer Leverkusen to end their unbeaten runs. I had at least a consolation goal expectation of them but no, they couldn’t manage a single goal, even after conceiving 3 goals. They did good in the season but, Atalanta are Europa League champions now.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have some old BTC wallet from 2013 on: May 22, 2024, 07:55:52 PM
So now I am not sure what to do, should I just keep it or try to open and see ( i really doubt there is anything there ).

If there are coins inside i won't be able to use/transfer them without pass and bruteforce wont probably work.

So does anyone have any suggestion?
Well, you can never really know the content of the wallet if it has anything in it at all without looking right? So you’ve just got to look to see what you could find. Mind you, don’t forget it’s not your wallet and so, be sure to seek the parent’s consent in what ever dealings you’re doing.

It must be sad for the parents, having to go through this and you must be really close to the family and most of all, your friend to be given that task.
It’s better you be the one to go through his things and be proper about it than for the parents to look out for someone else who is most likely not going to be trust worthy.

Perhaps, you still have to go through his things, passwords and seed phrase don’t come by guessing with specifics to public addresses.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin backed loans on: May 22, 2024, 07:43:15 PM
I looked around several DeFi platforms where I can lock wrapped BTC and get stablecoins, also looked to companies like SALT and Unchained.
I haven’t been really into the loan taking thing but, it would be interesting to know how some of these processes go and so,

When you talk about wrapped BTC loans, you mean like, a system in which, you would have like a multi sig with the company in question, where by your BTC eventually serves as a collateral but, not one that would be taken after a period but rather, one that would propel you to pay and get full custody of your coin. Also, you get to pay interest on what you got from the loaned USDT, I got that right, did I?

If am anything close to your intuition, I would say,
If the vacation isn’t absolutely necessary as I feel it isn’t, given that the funds to sponsor the time isn’t readily available and in most cases, you don’t know what your going to meet on your time out, unforeseen circumstances, you might as well let it slide for the time being.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: May 22, 2024, 07:19:47 PM
Yes, although in the past Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen have met in the Europa League in the round of 16 but still, the past and current trends have a real difference.
The impressive run Bayer Leverkusen has endured this season makes it easy to assume they would be the favorites in this Europa league finals but, from the game play this far, that clearly would be a mistaken qualification of there play. From the kick off, Atalanta have been on the offensive, trying the most they could to set their play around the Atalanta goalkeeper’s box and now, they’ve got an early goal to show for all their effort. A no contest ball as the result of a cut back pass, straight into the part of Lookman. Even then, you can still find Atalanta asking for more, trying to ensure dominance by maintaining possession and control the game.
Bayer Leverkusen needs to take charge of the possession if they hope to get anything out of this game.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: May 21, 2024, 06:06:17 PM
I know this build your case against me but in the fantasy pool I didn't participate with 2 accounts. I know that you’re not going to do anything for me but it's the truth I don't care now .
For real, you amaze me. Even up to this moment, you still believe you’re in the right and have been wronged by this accusation. You should be well aware that this isn’t an accusation no more but, throwing your shit right in your face. I don’t understand how you expect all the leads that have been found and presented against you to be swept under the carpet!

You’ve not presented anything concrete enough to dispute the many evidence that has been presented thus far. I bet your friends did post all those messages on telegram from your device or perhaps it’s an offer for promoting your exchange business with your locals, a chance to on board casino promotions.

Enough of this already, no need being a cry baby over it, man up and accept that you’ve been caught cheating. Like I said earlier you were lucky to get back your entry fee. Am sure if all these was out before that transaction was to be initiated, you would have ended up with nothing. You should be thanking Icopress and Trofo for acting the way they did.

One ignored fact/evidence that has been staring directly in our faces right from the unset is his love for the number twelve (12). Brahim012 and Abiiiii12. In mathematics, you should know that when zero (o) comes before a number, it does mean nothing except there is a decimal before the zero. Hence, 012 is still equal to 12. Don’t flirt with that number no more!

My advice, be straight, it doesn’t matter if it’s just online, make a reputation from your online persona.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fixed supply doesn't matter (change my mind) on: May 21, 2024, 06:17:26 AM
If fixed supply can be infinitely inflated (when it comes to price) and thus creating a bubble that can burst, it is not being different from supply that is not fixed.

Example, current Bitcoin price inflated by Tether printer with no real backing.

Fixed supply of BTC doesn't matter, when the price can be infinitely inflated by Tether printer.
I think the question that you should ask yourself here is that,
The infinite printing of tether possibly to inflate Bitcoin, will it only apply to Bitcoin? Would the entire nation be in chaos just because of one currency on the web? That wouldn’t be allowed to happen and it’s never going to be the case. You really should change your mind not based on my reasons but because you should find reasons of your own to believe other wise.

Bitcoin is a scares resource and like the rest of them out there coupled with how commodities do work, scarcity translates to value. It’s why some brands create limited editions of there productions and it’s value spans through time, inflation doesn’t go ahead to affect that.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: May 21, 2024, 05:51:33 AM
Just as I expected and you didn’t disappoint me by a micrometer. Well, you ought to have your defense if you please but, you coming here and calling all the hard work that have been put in by reputable users and say the chains doesn’t apply or doesn’t make any sense is something I find nonsensical.

All you had to say is how you know the guy and you called the guy and that’s it? It doesn’t add up or not enough. You seem like the type that jumps to do things, see how your making lots of typos and causing yourself further damage with compromising evidence. Messaging Icopress on discord from both accounts at the same time…!

Even more so, seems the idea about your Abiiiii12 account was solely created for the purpose of taking part in these pools and some games & rounds activities as all your posts up to this moment suggests. That’s not what to expect of a typical or genuine newbie. There isn’t a place prior to these post that you ever did anything different or what a newbie would do from your post history. It’s just been pools and games & rounds.

So I ask you here and now;
Did you discover Bitcointalk due to the games and round activities and the fantasy pool?
Like, what has been your actual purpose on the forum with the Abiiiii12 account?

I think you should be grateful to have gotten your entry fee back and don’t draw further attention to yourself by calling these great guys scammers or accusing them to her scammed you of a cent. Your in the wrong and the best means to help yourself right now is accept your faults, learn from your mistakes and move on. You of course knew how to play the FPL but, you approached it with cheating and that makes you terrible.

I’ve had to come to terms with not blaming the casinos and sportsbook for having a system that flags certain users and accounts to be using the multi accounts in trying to exploit the various offers they’ve got on there site. 90% of the time, it turns out to be true. Then we would have yet another thread on reputation calling out them casinos or sportsbook to have scammed them. Mostly, from these fresh newbie accounts.

If this would mean we place a rule on banning newbie participations, am in support.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: May 20, 2024, 11:19:20 PM
Man was picking every points possible. I feel bad for him, managing two accounts for full season isn't for the weak.  Grin
A very difficult management but, am sure his choices might have come easy given that, it's counter replacement and haven't maintained a fairly square point to be at the top,it mustn't have been easy keeping tabs on team news and GW but all that cheating and it amassed to nothing, that's how bad it is.

With that been said,
You really didn't get to win the bottlers league man. I mean, you called me on my shit of having to end up with unused game chip and I still did this season. You did advise on Mateta and for real, you shiftmy attention towards him in this last GW. I thought I would see you making that change on your team. I had to go between Jackson and Mateta, the Chelsea game wasn't giving lots of goals and Jackson didn't seem to storr so, Mateta was an easy pick for availing Aston Villa and toothless Watkins. Just didn't expect the game to be as one sided as it was.

It was a close call on you @Igebotz winning the bottlers league, just a point was all that was needed but,CLS63 beat you to it. Congrats CLS63, running after you in the real league was a touch one and your prized both sides.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: The End of Credit/Debit Cards on: May 20, 2024, 10:46:10 PM
yep. thats kinda the point
also its the move to the cashless society as paper/metal coin currency has costs for banks too

however, CBDC is not a process of the fed/central bank processing everything
imagine it like a multisig that a central bank partners with several commercial services and they multisg units of currency into existence managed by mainly the central bank but agreed by the commercial banks(payment services)
Obviously as though the cards might as well be taken gradually out of existence, the gateways by which it operates might not. As it is, the banks can’t run all them services and still needs this gateways such as quickteller to process these transactions and it would still very much be in use even should the CBDC full materialize and becomes the obtainable in the main stream.

Meanwhile, you don’t really get to operate with the central banks directly, you still will deal with your commmercial banks somehow as, the central banks can’t really do without these units to its activities in position.
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: May 20, 2024, 10:07:51 PM
Multi-accounting is a deplorable tactic in these pools and ruins the game for everyone. It takes away from other players even when caught like in this case. Most of us at the top would probably play a slightly different game and who knows what would be final positions if those players weren't in the pool or if it was just one of them. Maybe the punishment looks severe but I believe it is the only way we can fight against this problem.
It’s despicable to find this character from someone while playing amongst friends as I like to assume everyone in this group to be. Despite the fact that, it is a competition, we discuss our flaws and tactics for up coming GW as friends and yet, here is someone so eager to cheat on the rest of us.

The punishment isn’t server enough as, I would compare this to what is obtainable in gambling sites, you get stripped of your wins and your funds are confiscated. In this case, the user gets his entry fees back but, have a lesson to learn from this, to better not cheat in pools like this and amongst friends. He could have been better off with one but, have got to lose both and his positions given out.

I thank you guys for the great work that was done in detecting and handling this. it ain’t easy keeping a keen eye and detecting these tricks from tricksters.

I believe we should make the rules more explicit to avoid situations like these, but every FPL player understands that using multiple accounts is against the rules and is strongly discouraged. Maybe limiting a low rank account would keep this from happening in the next episode.

This could also be happening in other pools over the years who knows?
That could help, as the integrity of users would be put to questioning if they default in this manner and I don’t see a lot of users who would like to be put on the scale this way although, this would also take the chance of participation from genuine newbies who are interested in the league and game but what the heck, we don’t have a lot of newbie participations so, it could go.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: May 20, 2024, 08:09:18 AM
Money positions for the pool should be as follows but we will wait until official page updates before making it final:
🥇 1st place ~ 40% ~ 70 mBTC* - Trofo
🥈 2rd place ~ 25% ~ 43 mBTC - Brahim012
🥉 3rd place ~ 15% ~ 26 mBTC - Spack17
🏅 4th place ~ 10% ~ 17 mBTC - cls63
🏅 5th place ~ 5% ~  8.5 mBTC - Abiiiii12
🏅 Best overall GW ~ 5% ~  8.5 mBTC - Renato297 for 155 points in GW34
My address wouldn’t be needed so, I have to snipe that out, lol…

Congratulations to all you winners, you’ve guys are some of the best to not just play with but learn from. I contested in some random league and emerged 1st yet here I am in the 8th place. That tells the caliber of persons am playing with and learning from, you guys made it a contest for real and I don’t mind losing to champions though, I hope to feature in the wins some day. With that, I can’t wait for next season to kick-off.

Hhampuz, you’ve been a lot silent this season! Hit a wrong turn somewhere in the season, what’s good man? It’s over now.

With that, the last 1 mBTC free bet for round winner goes to Smartvirus. TC on Isak paid up for you and there were rumors he will not even play  Grin
That was a trick out of Icopress’s play book. So yeah, tanks Icopress fro that tip on your approach to GW27. It paid off here with a free bet consolation and it wasn’t difficult for Trofo to announce the winner this round, right from Sunday, Grin.
I had less expectation from Chelsea in their final fixture even though I knew they would win, I just had to go Isak, ain’t no way he wasn’t going to feature while they still had a chance for the Europa spot should Chelsea not take their chances.
114  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How active can a newbie be daily? on: May 18, 2024, 08:45:22 PM
My question is what does it mean to be active on the forum,
How many quality Posts can someone make daily before he or she can be considered active on this forum, sorry I ask a lot of questions so u can learn too.
The forum is one that doesn’t offer any form of restriction to the number of posts an individual could make in a day, hindering this would be limiting the information that could come in at any particular time which isn’t good for breaking news. You’re free to make as many post as you can but, just ensure that you’re making quality contributions and not just flooding the forum with spam post.
The closest thing to any limitation that exists for newbies would s the time in between posts. By the default, the forum has a couple of minutes requirement in between newbie posts. This is a mechanism put in place to ensure you aren’t just rushing it and by some means used to regulate spam. Once you climb the ranks, it’s off and you could make as much post as you will in whatever time frame but, you be sure they are quality posts.
115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where best to enjoy this forum... on: May 18, 2024, 06:36:50 PM
The reason why I prefer PC to using of mobile phones to browse through the forum is because the fonts are larger when you are using a PC unlike when using a mobile phone that you will need to drag objects nearer with your fingers before it can become more visible and again the intensity of the ray of light that reflects directly on the optical lens of the eyes when using a PC and mobile phone is not the same so PC is preferably conducive and again using a PC makes you feel relaxed while with mobile phone you can access the forum wherever you go even while you are at work but for me accessing the forum at any place you find yourself is not good because the forum requires a lot of concentration and understanding before you can engage in discussions in a particular thread therefore it needs a place of comfort and while at a place of comfort using your PC is preferable.
You really don’t need to think too much of it. We’ve got to have these preferences based on our individual differences. Don’t size is definitely something to look up to while, some other aspect would be your typing speed and how close is your keyboard. Of course if you type more on your desk top, you would have the comfort it brings when using the desktop but, if you do well on your mobile device, you would as well derive some comfort from it as well.

While the PC might not require you having to bring your device closer to your eyes, your mobile device would. Even so, your mobile device is more handy than you would say for your PC. Mobile devices allows you to access the forum from anywhere but, you don’t get that with a PC. These are some reasons to have them preferences.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: May 18, 2024, 06:03:57 PM
Leverkusen has succeeded in proving itself as an unbeatable team in the Bundesliga for a full season, which has never been done by any team before. Bayern dominance for more than a decade was broken in a very elegant way by Leverkusen, and now all Bundesliga contestants must respect Leverkusen. Xabi has been the key figure behind Leverkusen's success this season, he has managed the club with great luck.
I enjoyed having to place bet on them for real, their ambition to maintain an unbeaten run was one to take advantage of in gambling. It served them a great deal and also served the rest of us too. Won the league weeks ago but, we’re head in the chase for yet another glory that was well deserved.
It’s into the Europa now for them, can they archive it, I hope they do. They’ve been phenomenal all season and would be a well deserved one too.
Bayern Munich on the other hand lost today, I didn’t expect it but, Hoffenhiem actually came from behind and beat Bayern Munich to a 4:2 victory. Bayern could be unreliable and it’s really disappointing of them.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: May 18, 2024, 05:12:34 PM
Father Time never loses. Just being 35 slows him down. Barcelona must consider the future, and Nunez is a possibility. The kid is talented yet unreliable.  A murderer who scores every game is needed.  I could imagine Liverpool's Diaz in that Barca jersey. The speed, skill, and finishing touch are his

Real Madrid is also interested in Mbappe. If that happens, Barcelona must respond with force.
Nunez, to be the future of Barcelona, that would be so wrong. Like, he hasn’t done nothing for Liverpool and his got everything, a supply of passes and 80% of the time, his attempts are always off target. Barcelona don’t need nothing to do with an inconsistent striker like Nunez. Considering the fact that, Real Madrid would be bringing in Kylian Mbappe, it would be no chance for Barcelona in the league with Real Madrid and the El-Classico games would be pretty much one sided. That’s not what we want to see in Barcelona. The scouts have got an important job to do this time, to get a striker that would try to be on target and convert those supply of passes and Nunez isn’t that striker.
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Swap crypto or sell first then buy? on: May 16, 2024, 10:51:07 PM

I use Coinbase mainly so wondering which way is best to do it or is there not really much difference?

Well, those are some means to archive your purpose but, some approaches would serve you well than others and that would be the swapping.

Now, exchanges do operate on a standard price, depending on the coin in question, users would bid as they like and would either be slightly above or below what an exchange offers for a standard rate. Hence, this be a side to either benefit or not, depending on the permutations you’re seeing.

Secondly, having to sell and then buy again, is you actually taking part in two phase to the activity. Each of which, will be charged differently and you could be at the loosing end, although these charges are minimal and not very noticeable.
Having to swap however is just a one way traffic and you don’t get charged twice.

This however, is possible if them coins could be paired. I’ll go with swapping!
119  Other / Meta / Re: Should mods make a post to justify why they locked a thread? on: May 16, 2024, 10:44:43 PM
But for locking a topic there's nothing to signify it was a moderator action.

I just think it would be a nice courtesy if mods would just add a post before locking a topic to justify why they felt it should be locked. It's good to put this info on the record for future reference.
There isn’t any complication on who can luck a post or not. It’s always going to be either a moderator or the OP as, no forum user can just take actions on a post that wasn’t originally created by them.

Meanwhile, a moderator note wouldn’t be so bad. As this wouldn’t only serve for the OP alone but, would in a way relate to the rest of the forum users some specifics. Mind you, only the OP would be of full knowledge on whom might have locked a thread as, if it ain’t OP’s actions, it’s definitely going to be a moderator but, the rest of the forum members can’t know that. A moderators note could however, spill this secrete as to reasons why, it would serve as a reference point and by some means, serve as a deterrent for those who would like to create similar post.

This however might be a lot of work for moderators and could be ignored since it doesn’t matter much but, it’s a thought still.
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does destiny has influence in the amount we can win in gamble? on: May 16, 2024, 10:33:53 PM
And this makes me to come to a hypothetical conclusion that in gambling each and every person is individually destiny to within the range of certain amount of win. And that if you are not destined to win the high amount you are after, you will never be able to no matter how much you use or the strategy you apply to your bets.

Not to bore us with many words... I want to ask to know about forum members opinions and views about this. Is it what it is or it's just a fallacy?
I doubt that’s it. I don’t see where destiny actually comes in with regards to gambling. Perhaps we might be talking about luck here but the one time I ever decided to ignore all that was before me and bank on luck alone in an accumulation bet of 4 options, one played and three was lost. Luck and fate or destiny, which ever way you decide to call it, it just doesn’t go.
When it comes to win, I would say, certain users gamble about a range of wins and that’s entirely up to the individual gambler. It’s because, these are the wins you feel plausible for you and so you go for it. It’s just how the brain pushes you to function and that ain’t destiny, that’s just you entertaining reasoning to your gambling expectations.
Destiny comes out of creation and this comes out of a plausible reasoning on a gamblers thought patterns.
