101  Economy / Currency exchange / WTB $160 worth of BTC @ $3 (53btc) - I have rep on: November 07, 2011, 12:44:08 AM
Looking to pay with paypal because I'm lazy and it's easy.

Also, I have good trader feedback and have done transactions here before.

heatware: kcmastrpc

Don't message me if you don't have at least or > feedback and want me to send first. I'm not an idiot.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally visited the SilkRoad on: November 06, 2011, 02:28:20 PM
I do not believe that SR is a real black marketplace. I mean c'mon, DEA publishes a fake product and you just give them your home address. You have to be high to believe that is a real business. This has to be a big joke on the Bitcoin community, right?
or your neighbor, or some pickup address. there are still plausible denial.

The DEA can place a tracking device in the package. You pick up the package and they knock on your door. This SR thing smells of psyops.

Do you know how much those tracking devices cost? Wait, do you know how much it costs for the DEA to investigate and prosecute someone? I really don't think the DEA is all that worried about some Joe Blow purchasing a quarter oz of weed and 500mg of MDMA. Let's not fail to mention that there is literally NOTHING linking the buyer to the purchase - that'll go over well in court, won't it? I have a feeling that the DEA is more interested in the sellers at this point, and the operator of the site more than anyone else.

Get real man, psyops? Really? The worst thing that could happen to you is your package is tagged and you get a knock asking you to assist on an investigation in regards the seller. Even that's highly unlikely.

Because of the Great FireWall in China, you can't imagine how hard it is to connect to the Tor network.

Finally found a way , somehow i am so disappointed

There's only 5000 users registerd,
1000 pieces of goods on sale (90% are drugs),
concurrently less than 50 users online top,
and i bet less than $1k goods are sold everyday.

...

You should be glad you finally got tor working - now you can actually use the real world wide web. It'd be nice if everyone in China could use tor.

In reference to your numbers, you're way off. There may only be 1000 items for sale, but you can't see the quantity behind those numbers. People in this business are professional - they have plenty of stock. I'd imagine that number is more like around 10 - 20k

You can't see how many people are online or registered at SR - I have no idea where you got that number.

As far as your daily currency movement goes, trying multiplying that by 10 to 20.. possibly more - those are just estimates based on what little one can observe from the outside.

You're a troll. I told you that I had mistakenly assumed that resale was permitted. In no way am I interested in selling a non-transferable VLK. You also took my statement ouf of context. I explained that you nor Microsoft had any legal recourse because there was no transaction, therefore no laws had been broken.

I have an impeccable trading record and I am not interested in screwing that up or breaking any laws. I am however human and prone to make errors. That was my mistake. In any case, I've politely asked you to remove that information, twice now. I'll be contacting the moderators of this forum for assistance. I don't appreciate slander, especially since I have not done anything wrong.

It's a little slow, but nothing serious.
106  Economy / Goods / FS // Xoom 32GB tablet, SC2 / EQ2 accounts, PS3 Gaemz *UPDATED* Pictures on: November 04, 2011, 04:10:52 PM
Trying to scrape together some extra monies for christmas. Purchase with confidence - heatware is kcmastrpc (22-0), ebay is hunda (13-0). I will accept bitcoin and money orders from those without reputation, as well as paypal from those who can prove they aren't scammers. All of this stuff is OBO pretty much, make me an offer - if you lowball I just won't reply.

Photo of the Xoom & Games (high resolution) - http://www.blueaether.com/stock/IMG_1003.JPG

Xoom 32GB WIFI Tablet - Refurb. $300 + s/h. Unit is in excellent condition, I just don't use it anymore. I will include the outer shell, original box, charger, cables and micro-hdmi cable.

SC2 account - $30, I don't play SC2 and I'm not even sure why the hell I bought the game, total impulse buy.

EQ2 account - $250 obo, This account has like 6 lvl 90's with 250+ aa's. Pretty sure it's Troub/Defiler/SK/Warlock/Ranger/Coercer. Fairly recent gear on all the characters, all have their flying mounts, epic weapons, yadda yadda. If you're serious about this account I will happily reactivate it and give you a tour via teamviewer or something. I haven't played in nearly a year and since I play LOTRO with my wife, and soon to be Star Wars with my brother I don't see myself ever seriously entertaining EQ2 any longer.

PS3 Games - When I get home I'll revisit this list but I'm fairly certain these are the games I have.

MGS4 - $12
COD4: MW - $10
Tekken 6 - $10
Warhawk - $10

108  Economy / Goods / WTS / FS :: Xoom 32GB Wifi *REFURB* $300 obo on: November 02, 2011, 03:21:04 PM
Hai guys. Selling my Xoom that I don't use anymore. The original model crapped out on me so I sent it in and this is what they sent back. Will include box, charger, and a nice shell that lets you prop it up, etc. I never bought a MicroSD since I don't use it - and this will come with the latest Honeycomb OS unrooted (its not that hard to do honestly, I just never had a reason to).

I'll post pics later tonight, and you can find my heatware (22-0) rating here - http://heatware.com/eval.php?id=76107

I'm asking for $300 obo since I want to buy a nice motherboard for the $700 quad-xeon cpu my brother gave me.

I'll accept btc, money order, or paypal from established traders. Thanks for looking. I'll ship wherever but it's on your dime, so be sure to tell me what carrier to use, obviously USPS comes by my office every day as well as UPS and FedEx box in our complex.

110  Other / Off-topic / Re: DEA agent discusses Bitcoin in class today on: October 28, 2011, 04:30:31 PM
I believe the DEA are more interested in determining who the administrators of silkroad are at this point. If they can't figure it out, then they'll start targeting domestic dealers.

Anyone else notice the feds harsher stance on California since the debut of SR?
111  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Buy / Sell Btc - Established users on: October 13, 2011, 12:32:00 AM
shak, i'm interested in buying 25 @ $4usd ($100) through paypal. pm me if you're game. (or just send an email to my registered address at heatware if you're out of pms)

are you 13?
113  Economy / Goods / Re: Cooler Master Computer Case (RC-692-KKN2) + Extra Cooler Master Fans on: October 09, 2011, 02:41:57 AM
i'll probably take this off your hands...

did you remove the bottom hd cage so you can fit some 6970's in there? i'm asking because i have this exact same case for my brothers build and i didn't anticipate having to take out that cage. it looks though those are actually dual gpu cards with the rear exhaust (which the 6970 i got him doesn't have). so as long as it fits it shouldn't an issue.

anyways, i'll pm you with an offer.
114  Economy / Goods / Re: Probable scammer alert on: October 08, 2011, 04:33:00 PM
I recently posted that I wanted to buy two Iphone 4Ss  (They will not be onsale until Oct 14th)

I received the following reply:

"Hey I have two unlocked iphone 4s's. How much are you willing to pay for each?"

I replied asking how he has them before they are even on sale and to send some photos as proof.  He never replied,   so I suspect he was just hoping to get me to pay in advance.

This IS NOT proof of a scam,  but I find it very suspicious.

Here is the email header information:

Credit cards found a way to protect stupid people and where did that get them? If bitcoins are going to be for the masses shit needs to get done.

You also pay with the use of a credit card - in the form of taxes, fees, fines, and interest. You don't get that protection for free, you pay for it.

Quote
also https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=43441 is the new account of Virtron, this is at least his 3rd account. However we should not ban him, we should just let a new "stupid" bitcoin user get fucked over. Why try to stop scammers? The system is perfect.

It's your job to protect yourself from scammers - nobody elses. The mods can only ban an ip, that will not stop a persistant user from signing up with another fake email account through random russian proxy #3,201,308,832

As I said in the thread I was willing to donate money/time to help make a new system. To help make bitcoin better...

Go donate at heatware.com and start using it, it's catching on here as I've used it with several people here and I've noticed people who I haven't traded with using it.
116  Economy / Goods / Re: Virtron is a scammer, How to stop scammers on this site? on: October 08, 2011, 04:13:40 PM
What exactly are you doing to help again? You've done your part, you've made a thread and a topic.

I really do think this forum needs a sub-forum called trolls where this shit can be discussed at length without crapping the fs/ft section.

I didn't say anything of the sort.

There is nothing stopping anyone from walking up to you with a gun and robbing you. I would think that there are obvious steps to avoid being robbed at gun point - some of them being don't go out alone, don't walk down dark alleys, don't use an atm machine on an empty street at night, etc.

There are several great tools available to everyone on this site, including their own brain. You also have some reputable and established feedback/rating systems available. I don't think an escrow/money holder system is very reasonable - after all, just trusting one more person that could rip you off, you're increasing your chances.

No matter where you go you're going to find people who don't care about the law and who will try to rip you off. Doubly so online, the anoymity of the internet and bitcoin just makes it that much of an 'effortless' target. You are not without recourse my friend, if you want to trade with someone, get their phone number, address, ANYTHING that can tie them to the transaction. If they aren't willing to concede, nbd, at least YOU aren't the one being ripped off.

I really don't see this system (common sense) catching on with the masses. We need something better... Really.

You can't fix stupid. I could care less if an idiot gets scammed tbph.

heatware works just fine, why reinvent the wheel?
