ANN: NEW MULTI-POOL UNDER CONSTRUCTION
Due to big demand we are working on a multi-pool who will mine alt-coins with high profitability and pay the miners out in pawncoins only.
This has some big benefits:
* It will increase demand on the exchanges for pawncoin
* We will put buy orders on the coinpod exchange, making the pawncoin more interesting looking.
At this moment it is only at the best in pre-alfa stage!
We are looking for some testers that can bring in some hashpower and do not mind that:
- they might loose some submitted shares
- cannot connect to the stratum server several hours per day
- can wait for payouts several days (this is manual transaction: sell altcoin on a exchange for BTC, sell BTC for Pawn at coinpod, & divide over the submitted shares)
- know how to set-up a backup pool in the miner set-ups
- have 150+ kh hashrate available.
Please send a pm to either youngwebs or maccie on this forum when you are interested in joining this work-in-progress. We expect we can give selected users a hidden website and stratum worker somewhere early next week. Do not share this data till told you can do so.
There is no ETA for when this will be open for live usage. We also cannot guarantee that it will work at all. But we will try very hard!

Hello everyone, I also have troubles with the wallet.
Tried lots of different addnodes, got a pawn.conf from a friend, that works for him, but not for me :/
When I start fresh and delete everything in AppData/Roaming/Pawncoin except my wallet.dat and the .conf, it syncs up to a certain point, then it stops.
When I look at the logfile, I see "connection timeout" everywhere.
What should I do?
I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Anyone that has faith in the idea is already hooked. You can tell by the voting polls the amount of truly interested in people in pawncoin currently. That number is very low. Personally I could care less still. Its obvious some people/person has lost interest and is cashing out to jump on other coins that are bringing in nice payouts currently instead of waiting it out, which is understandable. I'll continue to invest and mine as much as I can. Development team is doing a great job in my opinion and is actually ahead of schedule from launch. They're obviously trustworthy and fully invested in this project but sometimes it feels like things get away from them and people get confused and lose interest.
I also believe that development team has done a good job, but they should communicate better with community. Devs listen well, but here are too much confuse for example what is whole picture, where we are in whole picture, what happens next, what they are doing at the moment. Devs have too much things in their own mind and that why they fail tell it understandable way to community. Sorry devs... i have criticized you a lot, but I hope you will take it in a constructive way. |

Pls update the wallet so it synchronises by default. A friend today told me this was hindering him to mine and buy. I told him how to add nodes but for newbees this is difficult.
This would be very nice. I also told Pawncoin to few friends and they all have had same problems with wallet. |

Do u except perfect trading platform in beta? Our devs have shown user-oriented development, so they will improve user experience in further development. We need that trading platform in whole picture before online pawnshop. That trading platform is not only for trading. Devs probably not know exact release date. They will announce it when they know. I would guess release is around the turn of the month, but its only my guess, so it may also be earlier. It is common that software development projects have some delays and in this case they cant lack security things, so be patient! Wooo someone just put up a 50k sell wall on Poloniex Yeah, noticed it also. It will be eaten when promotions start. Its only 2 BTC's and can worth over 10 BTC's in few months. I just send 2500 pawn to the exchange. When I create an order of 2500 it says I don't have enough pawn because of the fee. Can you auto reduce the fee from the order that is created? Also can you make the numbers clickable just as poloniex? For the rest it works great! I just put up a sell order of 2500 pawn for 5000 satoshi. Who want to make the first trade with me ! I noticed same problems and should be so how u said for smooth user experience. we are just in beta, so may have some bugs That not are bug, its missing feature to further development . |

Not all miners are dumping, many are playing the market selling high and then waiting to buy low. Just keep working on the services then if you still need to revise the block reward AFTER releasing a service do it. However i do not think it is necessary at this time. If you destroy the block reward people will cry cam and pyramid scheme the coin has a good reputation at the moment lets try and get a service out before we go and potentially ruin it.
We do not need to hit $1 over night with any large rise as we saw you get a fall. It will bounce back.
I voted also No. Maybe later when we have some services running etc, but reducing now fear newcomers for cam and pyramid scheme. Multipool can fix that problem but its not sure when we get it running smoothly or do we even get it. Like mscollect said earlier, its very complex system. |
