i'm confused now, i thought its from block 175280 we are receiving that 30% ? if(nHeight > 158000+((576*30)*1)) ret += blockValue / 20; //30.0% - 2014-11-23 ---> 158000 + 17280 = 175280 ?? which makes it still some 800 blocks to go from current block ? Bummer, it was to early in the morning for me, it is 175281 of course... sorry ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

loving you guys, yes long live darkcoiners.. ive been in and out since the beginning, mostly in again, at the lovely bottom. great dedication from the dev team and commitment from you folks on this forum.. true crypto.. can only get better at this rate of progress i only trade, no knowledge or patience for MN.. its been one of the least stressful rides in crypto due to the community and nature / purpose of the coin ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) Consider using a trust-less Masternode Setup Service, I can recommend Flare (dihydrogenmonoxide) or Ghostplayer, you keep your coins so no risk. They take care of updates etc, I am using Flares service right now just because I am really busy and got tired of updating myself. I still have to start the nodes though because I keep control of my coins but that is really trivial and easy to do. This may sound like a silly question..but I saw somewhere that even though you give them your private key, this doesn't give them control over your coins. How does that work? Don't we send the 1000DRK into a public address, which that private key is the pair for? What is stopping someone from importing that private key and using the coins? You don't hand over any privkey - i provide masternodeprivkey and masternodeaddr to you for your local setup. No risk at all. Holger (aka flare)

drk.mn portchecker/versionchecker does not work properly at the moment. My nodes are all on v0.10.16.11, yet still reported as v0.10.15.21 - but they were all paid during the night ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

What are you refering to as "binary version"? Darkcoin-qt.exe is a binary, darkcoind.exe is a binary too.
You can download the installer or the binary versions. The installer version is the one that does not work - sorry if I wasn't clear enough ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Thanks for the clarification :-) That's weird though, since both share the same file: md5sum for both darkcoin-qt.exe files are identical. Which implies there is something wrong with the installer and the registry setting it is doing.

Hi,i need help for synchronizing the wallet need the new darkcoin.conf
New Qt does not need one But is so slow 24h and yet not synchronizing ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) Exit Qt Delete peers.dat Run Qt report back This same ![Embarrassed](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/embarrassed.gif) I have exactly the same problem with one of my wallets on a Win7 64bit PC. I've tried everything mentioned in this thread to solve it - but nothing works. I believe the problem lies in the actual build of Darkwallet.exe, as CPU usage is very high when it's running/syncing, it frequently freezes & displays the (not responding) error before unlocking itself again & is generally slow & unresponsive. All my other wallets are on this PC & my Xubuntu ones and are running fine. After trying for many hours trying to get the Darkcoin-QT wallet executable to work on windows 7 64bit, trying every different tip mentioned on this thread and some - I finally gave up & uninstalled it. For a laugh, I thought I'd give the binary a go. Guess what, it works perfectly. For anyone else who's finding the QT executable unresponsive, not syncing or generally unusable on Win7 64bit - uninstall it - use the binary & all will be fine & dandy again. Sorry to clutter up the buy/sell/fud with a bit of tech talk, but I believe that if Darkcoin is ever to be adopted more, it is important to have a windows wallet that actually works & is usable ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) Sounds like a problem with file system permissions (C:\Program Files\ requires admin privileges for certain modifications) and/or folder names with special characters (something like C:\Users\AppData\J ános doesn't work with most of the wallet softwares). In this case, I gues you should try to set a different directory for the installer or set the C:\Program Files\Darkcoin folder writable by anyone (for a one time launch when it creates some new files in the folder). I run over 15 other wallets from this PC & all work flawlessly, Darkcoin was the only wallet I have not been able to use until switching to the binary version. If it is a permissions problem (which I'm sure it isn't), then it should be fixed so that any new user can install it & run it like every other wallet. It is not an isolated case, others have commented about it also - which is why I included their quotes about it. A wallet should be user friendly if it is going to flourish. Please don't think I'm knocking DRK - quite the opposite, I'm a big fan & have been for some time ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) What are you refering to as "binary version"? ok guys I've done a terrible mistake. I changed my drk passphrase using a pass generat but misclicked and didnt note it. Now there are 1000DRK stucked in my wallet and I don't know how to unlock them. I have some wallet.dat backup, can I recover my DRKs?
Replace the "mistyped" wallet.dat with the backup one - it should still use your old passphrase.

On a side note, can someone link the guide on how to set up a second MN on the same wallet, thanks
Anyone? This feature is still in development and not available in 0.10.15.x series The best best way of right now is to just do the process again just on another computer? You can use the same computer - either create another user or use "-datadir" property to create a second wallet.

- 5 minute block target - 6 Confirms per transaction - Difficulty re-targets every 60 minutes - Block reward controlled by moores law ( 1111 / (diff+1 ^ 2)) - 11 chained hashing algorithms - Premine: 0%
Since the reward is variable and depends on the difficulty, is there a maximum amount of coins to be mined? A maximum amount of blocks? Yes, the max coin amount is 84,000,000 Guys , Im reading a hell of a lot about Drk , but almost impossible to read all , one thing strange to me , Eddufield is talking about 84000000 total coins on page nr 2 of bct , but total is 21000000 correct ? , or was the 84 Mln for Xcoin ? , someone can help me out here ? , 84M was the spec of Xcoin

GUYS PLEASE
I know it's all about the FOX news and all the great things happening, but I'd like to remind you that we have to find a solution to reward our current awesome devs and to hire new ones.
As an owner of some Masternodes, I'd be willing to have 10% of my MN reward s go towards paying them.
A company pays its employees, we should pay our devs to ensure their commitment and the project's perennity.
I know that some will say "if they believe in their coin, then investing in it and developing it should be enough".
While they might be right, I think, especially in order to avoid the kind of situation we saw with a potentient coin merging, it would be a good solution to ask MN owners for a little reward effort.
Please let's discuss this.
Regards,
While I am not against this, funding development should be everybody's business not masternodes in particular. The foundation site should be ready very soon lets see how the voluntary fundraising goes. Because we are the "rich" ones in Darkcoin, as such it hurts us less than "normal" dark coin investors, and would prove both our commitment to the coin and our support to the devs. Why not 5% of MN rewards + foundation site then? I think Propulsion's suggestion over on DarkcoinTalk hits the nail on the head: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/darkcoin-shadowcash-merger.2918/#post-28446Could be a solution, although when it's donation based, you get the free rider issue. Still a potential solution, and I would 10% them all day ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) The beauty of it is that it doesn't seem like it wouldn't be too hard to implement , users can set how much they would be willing to donate and payments would be automatically deducted from Masternode payments. And to quote the last line: "It would also have to be defaulted to 0. You can not force people to donate." It does not work that easy: masternode payments are done by miners, not the masternode itself. There is no way how the miner can know how much of the payment should be donated.
