RCB start winning matches at very late stage, they now have won there last three consecutive matches and are now at 7th position on points table. GT need a win in yesterday match but due to disappointing batting performance they lost the game. RCB bowlers were too accurate specially in power play where they picked three wickets and gave away only 19 runs. More wins in upcoming matches can take RCB to play offs.
As long as the Royal Challengers Bengaluru remain as one-man army led by Virat Kohli, they may not win many matches. They are winning now, because players such as Mohammed Siraj, Faf du Plessis and Cameron Green, who were in poor form are slowly regaining their form. Yesterday, Siraj took two important wickets in his first spell (Wriddhiman Saha and Shubman Gill), while Faf du Plessis smashed 64 from just 23 balls. I was quite impressed with the performance from Josh Little yesterday. Gujarat Titans has so far played a total of 11 matches so far, but this was the first time that Little was included in the XI. During previous matches, Afghan pacer Azmatullah Omarzai was included ahead of him in the playing XI. There seems to be an Afghan cabal inside the selection committee in GT. Omarzai, Rashid and Noor Ahmad were assured of slots in the playing XI despite repeated poor performances.

What the hack man. It was really an unexpectable result. I don't know what to say about this match I have lost my some of bucks in this match. The pace the match was going I thought Rajasthan Royals would definitely win this match today but their performance deteriorated towards the last with some dot balls falling so quickly. But I never imagine that Rajasthan Royals will be lost this match for only one run. Anyway what about you guys ? Have you lost like me for this unbelievable result?  One thing that I have noticed for the last few seasons is that Rajasthan Royals end their tournament quite poorly after starting well. And look at today's match. Samson was out for a duck, just a few days after his selection to the national team. A lot of people have actually praised his captaincy skills. But for me, his captaincy have been disastrous. So far RR has lost two matches. And in both these matches, poor captaincy by Samson was one of the reasons for the defeat. |

We enjoyed a dramatic match. I haven't seen such an exciting match in a long time. Rajasthan Royals were defeated by just 1 run. Had Hetmyre not got out on the last ball, the match would have been a draw and the game would have gone to a super over.
Both teams lost their first two wickets very quickly. Still managed to collect big. Hyderabad's squad Nitish Reddy and Klaasen batted brilliantly. Travis Head also played an excellent innings of 58 runs. Rajasthan on the other hand lost two wickets very quickly, but Jaiswal and Parag's excellent batting made the match very competitive. However, Rajasthan Royals failed to win the match till the end.
Sunrisers Hyderabad made an excellent recovery after losing their top order batsmen (Abhishek Sharma and Anmolpreet Singh). Travis Head did the right thing by trying to dig in and form the partnership with Nitish Reddy. And then Heinrich Klaasen added valuable runs towards the end. They reached a total of 201/3, which would have been unthinkable a few overs back. Rajasthan Royals also started poorly after they lost Jos Buttler and Sanju Samson. The difference was that they didn't had anyone like Klaasen towards the end. |

Holy moly! Wow! I did not see this coming. SRH actually managed to win by a single run which reminded me of how Malinga helped MI secure the trophy several years ago by bowling out Thakur.
Natarajan reversed the momentum completely which Cummins and Bhuvi maintained successfully. RR messed up royally towards the end. SRH are one step closer to the playoffs.
Natarajan has been exceptional for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this season. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Pat Cummins were inconsistent, but they did a good job in this match. Only Marco Jansen and Jaydev Unadkat were out of form (and in case of latter, I can't see any improvement recently). BTW, Riyan Parag scored another half-century and it is just a matter of time before he gets included in the national squad. Anyway, for Rajasthan Royals, this was only their second defeat in ten matches. And that too was by a tiny margin of just one run. |

Rajasthan Royals need another 13 runs to win from the final over, with Rovman Powell and Ravichandran Ashwinat the crease. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has bowled so well till now, and he will be bowling the last over. Now they have Trent Boult, Avesh Khan and Sandeep Sharma yet to come. One more wicket and it is all over for Rajasthan Royals and they will be done. I have a feeling that it is going down the wire. Most probably we will get a super-over for the first time in this season.

It was really surprising performance from sunrisers Hyderabad against the strong team like Rajasthan Royals. I thought sunrisers Hyderabad will score maximum about 160 to 180 but I was wrong the top order batmens everyone is doing good today. And that's why they able to take 201 run. Anyway Rajasthan Royals steam also capable to face this target I think this match was going to interesting with unpredictable.
Towards the end, Yuzvendra Chahal leaked a lot of runs as Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen made quick runs. Ideally Rajasthan Royals should have restricted Sunrisers Hyderabad to a total of less than 160-170, but in the end SRH got to a 200 plus total. And in return, Rajasthan as already lost two wickets in the first over. This is another unexpected result in IPL match where Punjab Kings were able to beat Chennai Super Kings team and that too by a big margin. They chased the score of 162 runs in almost 18 overs and it was a good experience and result for them. Ruturaj Gaikwad stated the innings well from CSK team but once the openers lose their wickets, there was no one who could take the responsibility of batting and take the score to a reasonable target. Once again Ms Dhoni came down the order and having no impact on the game. He made only 11 runs and was run out.
Punjab Kings looked like an experienced team today and they all (Jonny Bairstow , Rilee Rossouw and others) took the game each showing the responsibility that they will chase and win the match for their team. I would not say that it was unexpected. Chennai bowling was really weak today, with Deshpande, Pathirana and Theekshana missing in the playing XI. And then as usual, Deepak Chahar got injured after bowling just 2 balls and Shardul Thakur had to complete his over. Their impact sub (Sameer Rizvi in place of Ajinkya Rahane) also made sure that Chennai Super Kings is well short of bowling options. Mustafizur Rahman was the only CSK bowler who was impressive. Thakur already replaced Hardik in the red ball cricket (not for cricketing reasons but fitness) and Thakur is first choice seam allrounder in SENA. Both are clutch players but still, in T-20 it's tough for him to replace Hardik, maybe he can compete with him in the ODI but surely not in T-20.
Tbh never heard about Mainshankar, maybe because he's from Tripura and these guys hardly get any limelight.
Anyway Shardul is more suitable for red ball cricket. Although he is part of the Chennai Super Kings squad, other pacers are sidelining him (esp. Mustafizur Rahman). So far he has played less than half of CSK's matches. And went for plenty even in these matches. But then Hardik isn't in great form either. So far Hardik has scored 197 runs from 10 matches (no centuries or half-centuries) and while bowling he has gone for 11 runs per over and got 6 wickets at an average of 42.16. |

Don't know about Pakistan but the Indian squad for World Cup 2024 has been announced. This time a player was not in their squad whom everyone thought to be in that squad and because he is a huge name of India but BCCI rejected him because they knew that he could be not perform on moving pitches and he is just a player of flat pitches and his name is Shubman Gill.
I think it is such a good as well as shocking decision because he was not playing well in IPL and also now he was not in form. By the way, from the starting he was not in form but that time by chance the World Cup was hosted by India means flat pitches that is why he was selected otherwise there was no chance for him.
Not sure whether this is the right approach. If IPL is the sole consideration for selection to the Indian T20 team, then why we are having the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, where 38 state associations participate? Whether Shubman Gill is included or not in the Indian team is not important here. All I am saying is that at least the domestic tournaments should also be considered for selection criteria. Now coming to Shubman Gill, he has been disappointing so far in IPL. Just two fifties in 10 matches. |

Netherlands Women won against Zimbabwe Women, which essentially means that the latter are out of contention for the semi-finals. Originally, when Neymar was brought to Saudi Arabia for a significant sum of money from PSG and Saudi club Al Hilal signed Neymar, we had no doubt that Al Hilal would be one of the best teams in the Saudi Professional League. With Neymar we considered Al Hilal as a strong team but due to injury Neymar was sidelined for the entire season but apart from Neymar all the other players in the team have proved that they are all good enough players and they are all capable of giving this team a good performance against any team. Neymar was out of the field for the entire season. If Neymar had been with the team instead of being out of the field for the entire season, the performance of this team would have been worse. Next season, Neymar may be a regular for Al Hilal, in which case Al Hilal will be an unstoppable team.
Neymar was purchased for a huge amount by Al Hilal. And they would have been OK in case he couldn't play as a result of injury. But when he got injured, rather than staying with the team he chose to travel to Brazil and refused to do any promotions for Al Hilal. This soured the relation between him and the team. Anyway, Al Hilal are doing just fine. Neymar's absence is not being felt. Neymar himself have stated that 2024 will be his final season for Al Hilal and he will be moving out in 2025. |

In the international level, Vijay Shankar is useless and only good for a maximum of 1 over at best. In white ball cricket Thakur is bit n pieces and as far as Venkatesh is concerned KKR's ruined the bowler Venky and the newly designed Impact player rule killed all the chances of him bowling again.
One young kid named Nitish Reddy seems alright. He did well in Ranji with the red ball but too early to judge his white ball skill, his batting is good though.
Agreed on Vijay Shankar. Doesn't think that he will get an opportunity to represent India ever again. Nitish Reddy looks promising, and Venkatesh still has a chance. Thakur is volatile, but among all the names listed above, I guess he is the only one who can be compared with Hardik at the moment. But I seriously believe that Manishankar Murasingh can be a good replacement to Pandya. He has been in domestic cricket for so long, and I have seen him playing. But he represents Tripura, and the chances are there for near-zero. |

From what I can see, the Chennai Super Kings are really struggling against the spinners. So far, Harpreet Brar and Rahul Chahar have bowled a total of 7 overs, and they have taken 3 wickets after conceding 30 runs. Punjab Kings were not doing really good in the recent matches, but it looks as if they may win today. At this point, they are at the 8th position in the table and a win can take them to the 7th position. CSK need to step up the scoring rate. Both Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sameer Rizvi are wasting a lot of balls.
