~ 12h without a block, thanks im out

Wow, your block criteria is sub-12 hours? You should have considered that before joining a pool that's got less than 5 petahash of power...
102  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] C-Mining : Cloud mining for all on: August 08, 2014, 07:23:07 PM
Excellent. I'll give it a shot when I get home.
103  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] C-Mining : Cloud mining for all on: August 08, 2014, 06:09:19 PM
So in order to receive payments, that is, to actually purchase cloud mining, we need to acquire C-coins? So to obtain Bitcoin payments I'd have to purchase C-Bitcoins? Is this how it works? I'm willing to give it a shot but I want to make sure I understand it.

Yea, I won in the first draw and I got an email to the address registered with the pool.

Yea, two blocks in a row is pretty darn awesome, especially with the bonus on top!
106  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 07, 2014, 05:53:15 PM
Anyway, it seems like everything is running smoothly now. I also seem to be having more success with the east1.bitcoindigger server than with the original server.
107  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: So what kind of hardware are you currently running ? on: August 06, 2014, 08:27:49 PM
Currently running Antminer S1, Antminer S3 x2, 4 R-Boxes and 4 Antminer U1's (I need something to play with my Raspberry Pi's!) Smiley

I also have 8 retired block erupter USB sticks and two retired AsicMiner Block Erupter Cubes (which besides the need for a stratum proxy I think are very good devices, extremely stable and great workhorses it's just too bad that they're so inefficient). So anyone willing to buy those Block Erupter Cubes? Wink They'd be great if you have little to no power costs!

108  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] .0028 BTC per GH/s - 5 year contract **www.BitcoinCloudServices.com** on: August 06, 2014, 05:08:56 PM
I bought some 53 GH/s here to try it out recently and just got my first payout. Kind of tempted to throw some more BTC but I'll wait to break even on my first purchase (which should take about 4 to 5 months depending on the next difficulty change).
109  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Rockminer R box with minepeon? on: August 05, 2014, 09:15:16 PM
Minepeon cointains versions of bfgminer and cgminer that don't have R-Box support. There are instructions at the Minepeon forum to update to the latest cgminer and bfgminer.
110  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Linux mining distro for the Raspberry PI - MinePeon on: August 05, 2014, 06:21:45 PM
I run 4 R-Boxes from one Minepeon. They get testy from time to time, but for the most part it works fine. I place the blame more on the R-Boxes than the Minepeon since I never got them to work under Windows, Zadiq drivers and all.

Anyway, you will need to update bfgminer (or cgminer if you prefer it) to a more recent release as the ones included in Minepeon do not support the R-Box.

Edit: Forgot to add in the original post that I updated the bfgminer to 4.3. Minepeon includes 3.1 if I'm not mistaken and I believe that 3.1 doesn't support the R-Boxes.

And it's down again, but my miner is reporting shares being accepted so only the front-end seems to be affected.

Whoah! Just saw the hashrate hit 3,655 TH/s! It was just about 400 TH/s when I joined a week ago! Very big jump that should help with this stubborn block Smiley
113  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: mining.BitcoinAffiliatenetwork.com - we're giving away 1 Antminer S3 every day! on: August 03, 2014, 11:46:43 AM
I like it! Question, what does the "-B5's" stand for after S3?

~

Batch 5.

Anyway, I vouch for this pool! Been mining there for the past week and I've received my payouts Smiley
114  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Viewing Antminer S3 configuration from anywhere? on: July 29, 2014, 05:40:14 PM
Well, I use the Chrome Remote Desktop extension and corresponding Android app to log into a PC at home and from there I can access my Antminers.

I know Multi-Miner can tell you the status on an Antminer but I'm not sure if it allows you to see the settings on it or modify them.
115  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 29, 2014, 02:54:19 PM
I got my batch 1 unit yesterday after some fun at customs and I guess I may have to underclock it as well. It's running at 218.5 and it doesn't like it and dips a lot even though the temps are pretty acceptable (usually between 39 and 42). It runs much cooler than my S1, but the S1 seems to run more stable with a lower reject %. One oddity is it always says its "best share" is 0 and that doesn't seem right but I'll have to wait until tonight to check it again since I don't have access to it while at the office.
116  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin Wallet 3 days behind and says up to date on: July 29, 2014, 01:53:22 PM
Thanks for the help! I tried reindex first but still didn't work; rescan did the trick!
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin Wallet 3 days behind and says up to date on: July 29, 2014, 12:29:41 AM
So my PC turned off while I was away for the weekend and my Bitcoin wallet got stuck on July 25. I'm running Bitcoin Core 0.9.2.1 on Windows 64-bit and it refuses to get up to date. It displays that it's up to date but it's missing several transactions. I've never had this happen before so I'm confused on how to fix it.

As I tend to pin tabs in chrome for my pools, it would be handy if you added a favicon

Sticking with the fish theme

119  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: "Sick" and "Dead" errors on BFGMiner with R-Box. Can anyone explain these to me? on: July 28, 2014, 08:47:44 PM
i have just 1 rbox that i reviewed on http://fuk.io nad have ZERO issues with it. This thing just works, constant hashes.
maybe i was lucky or maybe u were not.. from my experience i cannot say bad word on this little machine

And I have four that are a pain Smiley

Anyway when I had a single R-Box I didn't have problems either; problem is that it worked great so I bought three more! My plan was to replace some aging Block Erupter Cubes and not lose the hash rate. Again, they work awesome once I finally get all four working, but if there's a blackout and the power isn't back before the UPS is done for I'm in trouble with them.
120  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: "Sick" and "Dead" errors on BFGMiner with R-Box. Can anyone explain these to me? on: July 24, 2014, 07:00:08 PM
I guess R-Boxes are just a bad investment. See, you guys have the problem with them going randomly dead or sick in bfg. I have four of them and my problem is that I have usually one R-Box that won't cooperate. I can get all four working, but I need to shift their USB plugs around in the hub constantly until all four are recognized. I can usually get three to work fine but the fourth one can take up to 15 minutes to get running if for some reason my Raspberry Pi rebooted. This is on Minepeon with bfgminer. I've tried Minera but bfgminer never sees them and cgminer spits insane amounts of hardware errors.

Oh, and this fourth troublesome R-Box can be any of them! Yup, it's not that I can single out one particular unit as faulty; sometimes the one that isn't recognized can be the leftmost unit in my setup, sometimes it's the right most unit and sometimes it's either one of the units in the middle! The thing is that one R-Box is always the odd man out and it can be any of them. It's really frustrating...
