102  Economy / Speculation / Re: Address 1AcAj9 that found couple of blocks in few hours, WTF ??? on: July 07, 2014, 08:32:47 AM
somebody withdrew their balance and moved away from ghash with their 5petahash operation, and started solo mining. /story

somebody, with a huge probability, is bitFury: http://www.coindesk.com/bitfury-pulls-power-ghash-community-uproar/

So this is a "hooray, community self-balances to prevent 51% attacks" topic, TDM

That article is from a month ago..

With my professional expertise in bitcoin speculation you should trust me, this is BAD.. I've seen this before  Shocked

Ghash.io is controlling that address, they are able to create double spends, its a 51% ATTACK!
104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Address 1AcAj9 that found couple of blocks in few hours, WTF ??? on: July 07, 2014, 08:08:04 AM
don't look good lads https://blockchain.info/blocks/Unknown%20with%201AcAj9p%20Address

This guy has "found" 36 blocks in the last 4 day's..

First transaction was from ghash.io and received 2,867.54415 BTC https://blockchain.info/address/1AcAj9p6zJn4xLXdvmdiuPCtY7YkBPTAJo?offset=200&filter=0

The end is nigh..

You're upset because he found 6.25% of the blocks over the last 4 days?  Why?

There are double spends associated with the address, its very fishy..

and you can see the price is starting to crash on btc-e!

106  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Are scammers who are caught getting prosecuted? on: July 07, 2014, 04:47:52 AM
Why? are you worried about something? Yes, if there is sufficient evidence, a scammer will be prosecuted.

I'm not worried about anything, but I have been looking into if people are getting prosecuted, every day I see a new scam accusation posted, is anything being done about it? is justice being served?
107  Economy / Scam Accusations / Are scammers who are caught getting prosecuted? on: July 07, 2014, 03:55:55 AM
I wonder if people who are caught scamming bitcoins are facing any legal action/prosecution? I know there are a few cases of scammers being prosecuted but that  is only for big amounts of $1m+

Does anybody know if there has been any scammers that have been successfully prosecuted in civil and criminal courts? Is there any recourse once you've been scammed?

If you can answer the following question correctly I will grant you three wishes.

At a party, everyone shook hands with everybody else. There were 66 handshakes. How many people were at the party?

I may be interested in loaning you, but I want the free holiday to LA first just to be sure!
114  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [HELP] Domain evaluation? on: May 19, 2014, 01:17:50 AM
There is a btcjam.com though don't forget! people are going crazy for these kind of domains registering them none stop! surely it is worth more due to it's shortness and including btc Smiley

Regardless, I will be building a brand and building some sales history for the next year or two and then selling as a whole business to include the supplier information, profit and loss accounts, tax documents, trademark certificate, hosting and domain!

Price will depend on annual turn-over and speed of growth Smiley

115  Economy / Marketplace / Re: [HELP] Domain evaluation? on: May 18, 2014, 09:23:30 PM
"jem" is not a word (in any of the languages that I speak anyway)  so I would say it doesn't worth much, probably nothing unless you develop some good website on it then it might gain value in a year or so

Actually "jem" is a word but its definition is not good at all.. http://www.thefreedictionary.com/JEM

I'm planning to make the name "btcjem" a trademark and register it as a limited company, then pay tax when transferring from bitcoin to fiat! Which is something I have to look into..

But the site has gotten a lot of attention over the last 5 day's and it is starting to gain a lot of content, If I am going to sell it will be the business as a whole!

I have a few other domain names in the works coming soon that I cannot say until they're fully registered but one of them will literally be worth at least $150,000 just because of the name alone Smiley
117  Economy / Goods / Re: Btcjem.com Top 10 Gemstones to list first? on: May 17, 2014, 08:37:04 PM
''free worldwide express tracked shipping with UPS''

Sounds expensive - is there going to be a minimum spend limit?

It sure is, I think I will only use ups for orders over 20 usd and use domestic unregistered mail for small orders Smiley
118  Economy / Goods / Re: Btcjem.com Top 10 Gemstones to list first? on: May 17, 2014, 12:40:58 PM

120  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Btcjem.com gemstones for cryptocurrency! Launch Thread on: May 16, 2014, 02:56:58 PM
I've been working hard these past 3 day's and I'm glad to say we are way ahead of schedule! the site could be ready within 2-3 day's!

Would anyone like to see behind the curtain? Wink

You can go to the products list and enter 'demo' for both username and password but we only have one or two item's up, we have the layout down to a T and all metadata is fully completed. Also the gemstone types you see are the winning gems voted for by you!

Have a nice weekend!!

Stop spending money developing a new site and pay your btcjam debt, you SCAMMER.

I'm not spending any money, and my personal finances really aren't any of your business. I am paying my debt when I can.
