101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Should Reddit add Bitcoin as a payment method for their Reddit coins? on: November 21, 2019, 03:47:50 PM
I checked out Reddit's reward option today and I noticed that they do not have Bitcoin as a payment option. Do you think they should add Bitcoin

as a payment option or should they stick to this? --> http://prntscr.com/q05wme   Huh

I think Bitcoin (with the Lightning Network) has evolved into a scalable and fast payment option and it would not take a lot of effort to add Bitcoin

as an additional payment option for their own Reddit coins.  Wink

Should we petition them to add Bitcoin as a payment option or should we just ignore this blatant absence of one of the most revolutionary payment

options on this planet, called Bitcoin (BTC)  Roll Eyes

102  Other / Beginners & Help / Just a little something about secure passwords. (Wallets & Online services) on: November 21, 2019, 03:14:41 PM

Source : https://gizmodo.com/the-guy-who-invented-those-annoying-password-rules-now-1797643987

So, we have been using all those case sensitive passwords with all those symbols and numbers and it was not the most effective way to secure your

wallets or online services.  Roll Eyes

Do you agree with this article about passwords and would you change your password to a longer password with a combination of random words to

increase the entropy? Luckily I love long complex passwords, so I am relatively safe either way.  Cheesy

Let's discuss.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: The Government-Backed Digital Dollar (USD) on: November 20, 2019, 08:13:54 PM
You know that most of the Bitcoin developers originated from the USA right? The USA can quickly get some of these developers together to create

their own government coin. Ripple will be too glad to fulfill that role and Mike Hearn and his team are already geared to provide their surveillance

coin/technology that they are working on now. Nothing in Crypto currency is protected or intellectual property rights signed to one entity, so they

can just take what they want. If you ask me, then I will say the US are more than ready to launch a quick US version of Bitcoin.  Roll Eyes
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can you buy with bitcoin? Apparently, some weird shit. on: November 20, 2019, 06:05:59 PM
So I saw this topic by Kprawn just a minute ago, with the question "What is the weirdest thing you have seen for sale for Bitcoin? ". I was going to answer there, but since I really want people to know this(just because), I decided to create my own topic about it instead.

Sorry in advance to Kprawn for stealing your topic

So, what can you buy with bitcoin in 2019?

Oh boy some of you people probably haven't heard of this yet.

...

...

Bath water.

Yep. You guessed it right. Water from a bath tub whereas some female Twitch streamer took a hot bath in.

And also, it went out of stock one time.. so apparently people are actually buying them..

Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/justneckbeardthings/comments/c960p6/belle_delphine_bath_water_is_sold_out_what_in_the/

So, what do people do with the water? You ask.

Maybe people take a bath in them?

...

Apparently, based on some Reddit replies I've read(that I 100% hope that people are just trolling), some people drink them. Let that sink in.

But wait! There's more..

It doesn't end with bath water.

So I took my detective hat on and investigated what this Twitch streamer is selling besides bath water.

Well..

No one probably is going to buy that $9,999 jar of pee (I freakin hope), but yea. I lost a bit of faith in humanity when I saw this. Probably fake, idk, but don't underestimate the weirdness of men living in their mom's basement.

At least now, if some normie no-coiner says "you can't buy anything with bitcoin!" à la Peter Schiff, you now have the perfect answer.

You're welcome.

And don't freakin ask me to link the website. Have some dignity.

OK,  Roll Eyes at least you gave me the credit for creating the topic first and you posted a link to my thread. Looking at both of these threads, it looks

like the most weirdest things for sale is somehow associated with people's body or something that are worn on the body. It is still unsettling that

people are selling things like this and that there are actually people buying this shite.  Roll Eyes  Take my word for it, there will be someone buying that

pee for $9,000.  Roll Eyes  John McAfee paid girls to urinate and defecate on him (based on the documentary maid on his life)  Roll Eyes  - Source :

105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks Are Never There When You Need Them - That's Why We Need Bitcoin on: November 20, 2019, 05:03:16 PM
I can tell you one thing, if you want a 3 month Bank stamped report of your savings account at 21h00 at night, then you will not find a Bank in my

country that would be willing to help you. Our Banks are not open 24/7 so you are stuck with Bank office hours of between 08h00 - 17h00.  Roll Eyes  I

think these Brick n Mortar Banks will seize to exist in the next 5 to 10 years and you will find virtual Banking would become the norm. Look at what

happened in Greece with the last economic crisis, they simply closed their doors and locked/restricted their ATMs.   Angry
106  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the weirdest thing you have seen for sale for Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2019, 04:37:39 PM
Part 2 - Today I browsed some more to see if I can find even more weird things and I found some disturbing stuff. The one guy is charging people

for videos of murder scenes. (Not the actual murder) but the actual footage of the crime investigation. This guy must be in law enforcement or

working in a crime lab or crime archives to get to these videos. I did not pay for any of the stuff, because I have a weak stomach and I want to

vomit just thinking of it. Why do you get sick people wanting to look at things like that?
107  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 20, 2019, 03:48:38 PM
I can't separated myself from banks account because i need them to stores my money, to made transactions use ATM or transactions directly through to banks so i think stay away from banks isn't good options for me and if someday they will against crypto then it will be difficult to be chosen because basically i still need both of them

You will not stop using Fiat ATMs or even saving your Fiat currency in Banks, you will simply move your funds to a Bitcoin friendly Bank.  Roll Eyes  The

idea is not to stop using these services, because there are still a lot of services and goods that you cannot buy with bitcoins. So when your Bank

start getting difficult, you simply close your account with them and open a new account with a Bank that are Bitcoin friendly. I already influenced

my friends and family to do the same and we are all Banking with a new Bitcoin friendly Bank.  Wink
108  Economy / Economics / What is the weirdest thing you have seen for sale for Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2019, 07:59:29 PM
Today I decided to crawl around on the so-called DarkNet to see what people are sellling for Crypto currencies. First of all, I was amazed how many

people are dealing in Monero these days. The second thing that grabbed my attention was the weird things people were buying online with their

bitcoins. You have the normal drugs and steroids and stolen credit cards, but what caught my attention was the dirty panties. That disgusted me

to no end... why would someone want to buy used panties with stains all over it? In any way, it was a fun afternoon and I have seen some very

weird and disgusting things.... but I will never buy used panties.. thanks.  Roll Eyes

109  Economy / Goods / Re: Sale of a beautiful pendant with a bitcoin coin on: November 19, 2019, 07:45:53 PM
Please be careful buying anything in resin. I bought some butterfly in 24k gold from someone and when I got it analyzed, there were zero Gold under

the resin. They know you have to break the resin to get it tested and people will not do that, because it will destroy it's re-sell value. In my case

the necklace broke, so I could send it for testing. This is a very old trick used to fool tourists visiting foreign countries and also people buying things

online.  Roll Eyes

110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: All of you Bitcoin Hodlers are mentally ill - *Must Read! on: November 19, 2019, 07:34:44 PM
This entire bitcoin space breeds greed, envy, fear, and lust. All you of hodling bitcoin are mentally ill. You have been conned into thinking bitcoin is going to the moon. It's not. Charts show bitcoin is slowly bleeding to death. Bitcoin is no different than Bernie Madoff's Ponzi scheme where new bag holders are needed to pay off the earlier investors.

Mass adoption of bitcoin will never occur. Sorry! The price is far too unstable to be used as a form of payment. Businesses would get crushed if they took bitcoin as a payment due to the wild price fluctuations. Then you have to worry about the IRS on your ass to pay taxes. Is hodling worth the stress? Absolutely not. That's why women laugh at bitcoin and think it's a scam. Notice the crypto space is all dudes?

Say what you will about the US dollar, but it's still backed by a democracy and the most powerful military in human history. Accepted everywhere. Bitcoin is backed by absolutely nothing. Gold is backed by 5000 years of history of holding value, and is recognized worldwide. Women love gold. It's beautiful and tangible. A real asset worth owning.

I'm sorry, but you HODL'ers are mentally ill and are going to get crushed when bitcoin collapses in the coming recession. Bitcoin is going to get dumped fast as people need money to pay bills and survive. If you bought bitcoin early and already cashed out with gains, you are a wise investor and have my respect. If you're still hodling, your finances and reputation are on the line here. A reputation with your friends and family you can never get back. Don't risk it. Dump your bitcoin now before it wipes you out!

OP, you are going to look so stupid soon. You know how long people have been saying this same thing for years now and just the opposite has

been happening.  Roll Eyes  It is a pity this forum is anonymous, because I would like to stand in front of people like yourself when Bitcoin goes

mainstream and I want to laugh in your face. I do some kickboxing so I can back my arrogance if need be.  Wink  I was the envy of all my friends

and family, when I made more than 800% profit with my Bitcoin investment in 2017. <Also when I donated to Wikileaks when all other payment

options blocked it>  Cheesy

111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright Claimed He Would Reveal a Critical Bug in BTC and LTC - Then Didn’t on: November 19, 2019, 07:22:22 PM
So when someone writes and article about him or starts a thread, he already wins.

but by not naming and shaming him. the only version of events people see are his side. thus he wins more

You're both right, the question is, is it better to ignore (in this case lie) or to constantly confront it? In my opinion, Faketoshi currently has a win-win situation, because saying nothing may mean that we agree with his claims, but at the same time if we challenge his lies we give him additional publicity.

In my opinion, ignoring is not a good option at the moment, but at some point, people will realize that CW is one ordinary liar who should not be given too much attention. Let's say Bitcoin is still at a stage where certain things can be challenged, CW and some others see their opportunity here, and as time goes by, the space for such actions will be greatly reduced.

Nope, I think it is much better to throw him under the bus, every time he makes absurd claims like this. It will just show people out there what

scumbag he is and how stupid his claims are. Doing nothing will just strengthen his argument and all his claims and it will put doubt in people's

minds. The guy is a snake-oil salesman and the people needs to know this. Take the power away from him, by exposing him as a liar and a cheat.
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Circumvent KYC if You Can? on: November 19, 2019, 07:15:30 PM
Yes. The reason is simple, because the government is just a bunch of people just like us and we do not need to bend the knee to everything they

say. Imagine if these people knew everything that you did with your money... they can use that against you if they wanted to. Let's say they want

something from you and they track all your financial data and they see you visiting brothels or buying g-strings for your girlfriend... then they would

have leverage to force you to do what they want. Information is power and power in the wrong hands are toxic.  Angry
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 19, 2019, 06:21:17 PM
I think the main reason why people avoid moving from one Bank to the next, is because the Banks are making it unnecessarily difficult for their own

customers to do it. They know they are going to lose fees and your deposits, so they make the administrative task very complicated and time

consuming. You are loyal to your Bank, but they are not loyal to you in return. <make one mistake and they will drop you like a turd>  Angry  I recently

shifted from one Bank to another and it almost took a day to get through all the red tape.  Roll Eyes
114  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 18, 2019, 04:30:31 PM
I am balls deep in BTC but no, I need my fiat bank account, at least for now until BTC moons.
I need my bank account as well, but I live in an area where there are quite a few options and I could switch banks easily if I wanted to.  Having said that, I have no clue what my bank thinks about bitcoin because they're not one of the "big banks" that make public statements about crypto.  I think if my bank made it known that they were against cryptocurrencies (whatever that means), I might consider moving to another bank, but who really knows what the next bank thinks or even how significant it is.  The only thing I use my checking account for in terms of crypto is to occasionally buy bitcoin with PayPal by funding my PP account via my bank.  There haven't been any problems with that so far.

OP, do you have any links about that Australia situation?  I haven't read anything about that, and now it's making me curious as to what happened.  I'll google it, but it would be nice if you could provide a link to reference what you're talking about.

Source : https://www.coindesk.com/banks-investigated-for-closure-of-bitcoin-company-accounts

It happened way back when there were still a lot of hostility between Banks and Crypto currencies. A lot of things changed since then and some of

these Banks has changed their stance and become a lot more Crypto friendly since then. A long time after this, The Australian Competition and

Consumer Commission (ACCC) has concluded that Australian banks did not collude in blocking services for bitcoin firms and that a full investigation

into the affair is not necessary. Source : https://www.coindesk.com/accc-australian-banks-collusion-bitcoin-accounts

As for anything related to Banks and Government regulators, things gets muddy and it was criticized for not doing proper research and speaking

with the affected companies and individuals.  Roll Eyes

It is early days, but I am amazed how loyal people are to their local Banks.  Huh
115  Economy / Economics / Re: World debt and currency reset on: November 18, 2019, 03:21:21 PM
A lot of countries have had their debt written off or debt cancelled by the World Bank, just like some companies write off people's debt when it

becomes clear that those people would not be able to pay back the debt. In some instances this come with some sort of asset transfer agreement,

but in most instances this happens with no requirements. Example : https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2005/jun/11/uk.g8  These countries will

then offer some tax incentives for these countries or Banks to operate in those affected countries. (Less import duties etc.) This is how 1st world

countries get there claws into poorer countries, because they get leverage to broker other deals that would favor them in the future.  Angry
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Which countries have banking friendly to companies that get paid in bitcoin? on: November 18, 2019, 03:10:38 PM
I would suggest sending a customer support ticket to one of your local Bitcoin exchanges, asking which Banks they use and then opening a Bank

account at these Banks, because these exchanges are doing large Bank transfers and deposits and withdrawals at these Banks and they are still in

operation. I did this with my local exchange and opened a new account at 3 new Banks and I had no problems with any of them. You are going to

have to deal with transactions that would be "red flagged" so you will have to use Crypto friendly Banks.  Wink
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Would you close your Bank account, when your Bank turn against Crypto? on: November 18, 2019, 03:03:54 PM
We see a lot of these Banks that wants to sabotage Bitcoin and Crypto currencies by closing people's Bank accounts. When this happened in

countries like Australia, some people closed their Bank accounts in support of these people and they moved their business to other Banks that

supported Crypto currencies. They also took this to court and the court decided that this was anti-competitive behavior and they were forced to

stop that. So, the question is simple : Would you close your Bank accounts, when your Bank turn against Crypto?

Do we need new Banks that would go up against these large Banks to facilitate the conversion of Fiat to Crypto currencies? I think Banks doing this

will quickly change their policies, once millions of people start moving their accounts to Banks that supports Crypto currencies.

We do not need Banks, because P2P conversion is possible without Banks, but it just makes things so much easier for people dealing with exchanges.

What do you say? Please participate in the Poll.  Tongue
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Swiss Crypto Banks Receive Licenses From Financial Regulator on: November 18, 2019, 02:55:03 PM
The combination of the words crypto and bank sounds very strange.

Well yea, but not if this is a Bank that would be willing to help with the Fiat to Crypto conversion. We see a lot of Banks that wants to sabotage

Crypto currencies by closing people's Bank accounts when they pick up that those accounts are used for Crypto related activities. A Bank that

would stick it to those Banks would get my business.  Wink  If this is just another Bank that wants to store people's coins or tokens, then I am totally

against it. You are your own Bank.  Angry
119  Economy / Speculation / Re: The 2020 Next Bitcoin Halving vs The 2016 One on: November 17, 2019, 07:23:20 AM
You cannot compare one Halving with another without including the many other factors that happens during that same period. Remember, the price

is not just affected by the Halving, there are other things happening in the market at the time that influence the price. You might have some big

event happening that might push up the price and then the Halving will piggyback onto that event and also visa versa with a negative event. I can

tell you now that the price will not double with the next Halving.  Roll Eyes  In any way, the Halving influence happens prior to the event taking place and

not on the date that it happens, so you will have to look at the price history of at least a week before the event to see what influence it had.  Wink
120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto Adoption Expanding Everywhere on: November 17, 2019, 07:12:34 AM
...

Paying with cryptocurrency is quite novel and not popular, hence it would seem odd to those who are is used to more traditional means of making purchases. And there are various options in paying with cryptocurrency , such as lightening network. It would take a while for mass adoption but I believe that would eventually happen, and with it more simplistic ways of making payment through cryptocurrency.

Yea, but I hate it when software developers over engineer things and then they think the general public would find it user-friendly.  Roll Eyes  The

software solution should make things easier and more convenient for people, not more complex and time consuming like in this project.  Roll Eyes  I had

a terrible experience last night when I helped a friend setting up a BitPay wallet on Windows XP and it once again frustrated me that a large

Bitcoin company like BitPay would make things that complicated for people to use their service. It is as if these people are deliberately making it too

difficult for people to use Bitcoin to sabotage the whole adoption thing.  Angry  (or they are just clueless)  Roll Eyes B.t.w Bitpay does not run on WindowsXP
