So what happens in 30 hours or so? Miners get coins? I guess I'd be curious as to what effect that will have on the price.
My prediction is a dip to 15k because of panic but I could be wrong and someone pumps it. I dunno , considering the small amount of actual coins that will be mined, The price was 16k-17k for many hours today as soon as it reached 17k it would get someone unloading an amount into the buy walls, cumulatively it was far more than total amount mined in a single day. Im changing my prediction. If it dips it will only be for a tiny amount of time and then shoot above 20k  |

Not sure if this has been addressed yet... But I was mining this from the gate (last night) and I have seen the hashrate just dwindle! My thought was, How unfair that people can rent miners... and throw tons and tons of hashrate at a coin... but then call it off to mine something right away that they can make a profit at, while people like me, and many others too I'm sure, continue to mine this so we CAN get to the blocks that pay out... only to have the renters come back in and blow our hashrate away!
In short... I feel like the miners that are mining these 10,000 '0 reward' blocks are doing all the work, and when that is done, the "renters" will come in and make it to where we don't get hardly anything for that... it doesn't seem right. Maybe there is a way to "reward" the miners that are mining these 0 reward blocks? Like the pools could carry our shares over to pay out ahead of of the "renters" after block 10,000??
Just a thought... anyone else agree? Or am I completely off here?

My honest opinion, wait and see what the miners sell it for in the first 48 hours. The is a good rule of thumb, but in the case of VIA, miners aren't going to have a significant impact any time soon, based on trade volume and the number of mineable coins in the near future. At least that's my opinion. You may be right, I may be right and the truth is probably somewhere in the middle :-) Agreed I was just basing it on other coins but sounds like Via is going to a bit slower to mine. |

Watching the price and making profits is fun and all but I really can't wait to see what interesting applications people come up with to make for this coin (blockchain). I bet theres ideas that come about that I can't even imagine right now.
