Crypto Currency is fastest way to get rich ?

How long have you been with crypto?

Have you reach your goals yet?

what do you think about this topic?
I came to crypto when Eth was around $700 and really hoped that crypto would help me to earn quick money.
Now I'm a bit more sober about current situation and future prospects of the market and yet haven't reached my goals.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can something free be a scam? on: September 13, 2018, 03:35:52 PM
Hi everybody,
Lately I am reading a lot of posts asking: is this airdrop a scam? Is that free ICO a scam?
So I am wondering how can something that doesn't cost you a penny be a scam. Sure, they get your email adress and maybe a ETH Adress, but how can you  really be scamed with only this informations? I am not talking about airdrops that require kyc registration, that for sure can be dangerous.
Cheers,
Scam also means that you are not paid the reward you were promised, expecially when you have to do certain actions to get those free tokens (for example, register with the project's Telegram group or make a couple of retweets promoting their ICO).
It's very annoying, you know, when even those several pennies are not paid - this reflects the attitude of the project team to the community.
103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung is going to accept Bitcoin on: September 13, 2018, 03:18:39 PM
Is this really happening. I think this will be huge support for existing of bitcoin. Recently,I heard that Samsung started to accept Bitcoin on 3 countries. It is said that customers in Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, and Kaunas in the countries of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania will be able to purchase Samsung smartphones, tablets, laptops, TV sets, and more with cryptocurrency.
Estonia itself is extremely friendly to digitization processes happening worldwide.
Despite the fact that its population is around 1.3 million people (less than the capital of my country) you can do and buy almost everything via the Internet here.
So I'm not surprised with the fact that Samsung products can be bought here using bitcoin.
104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin safer than banking? on: September 13, 2018, 03:12:06 PM
Reports have it that bank frauds still continue to happen despite of strict security measures being taken by the banks. Just between January to July 2018, just timeshare fraud alone had 1.155 reported cases. It's when you’re told you can go on a free holiday or get rich by joining an exclusive holiday club or timeshare programme, but you’re eventually forced to pay for it through small print in the contact. That is not to mention other types of fraud like identity theft etc.

This gets me thinking, is it safer to just have bitcoins, or cryptocurrencies for that matter since it's not regulated by banks? What do you think?
The practice shows that having btc in one's wallet can also be rather unsafe, especially when one has only a slightest notion of what cybersecurity is.
Though yes, if talking about cryptocurrencies one is fully responsible for his funds, and this brings a greater confidence if comparing the same financial activities in banks.
105  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency so difficult to understand on: September 13, 2018, 03:08:07 PM
I engaged with young people and layman people in my communities on the quest of exposing them to cryptocurrency. During the period I discovered that they find It so difficult to understand the concepts, they are so much acquainted with fiat currency and traditional ways of making payment transactions.
I will be impress If I can get a valuable ways and methods in making them understand what cryptocurrency is all about and engage them actively.
I once tried to explain to my mom what cryptocurrency is. It is a 52 year old woman who can't even properly use a copy-paste function on her laptop  Grin
Amazingly, she quickly got the concept of blockchain and asked me the right questions. I'm not sure what exactly helped her, maybe it's her degree in social communication studies..
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats your biggest mistake up to now on: September 12, 2018, 05:06:16 PM
Recently

I bought iotx , and sold it after two days. Unfortunetly next day it listed on binance , iotx moon . I have lost of oppertunity of 12000$

Thats biggest mistake done recently. Share your ones ?

I haven't yet made any big mistakes so far, since I only do bounties and refrain from serious investing and trading.
Though I in this downtrend I am still not sure what to do with my hardly earned tokens - whether to sell them all and gain 10% of what I expected or wait for an uncertain amount of time and hope that they will be pumped one day.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum's Price on: September 12, 2018, 04:54:56 PM
I really taught this year was for Ethereum but what happen? Undecided I'm so disappointed holding it. Why did Ethereum go with btc flow? Everytime btc falls it falls also. I’m rooting for it since its is an open-source, public, blockchain-based distributed computing platform and operating system featuring smart contract. If the erc20 token using it has high price then why is ethereum price not directly proportional?
In your own opinion?

Ethereum was seriously compromised since it was largerly used as a platform for ICOs. And look what all there projects are doing now - they are selling thousands of Eth, which has already lead to catastrophic $180 per coin.
Disappointed you say? Ha-ha, that's not the right word for ordinary smal-medium traders who deposited their hardly earned ~$5,000 and are forced to watch how their investment goes to zero.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunter, now what are you going to do? on: September 12, 2018, 04:49:38 PM
Everything seems to indicate that the market is mortally wounded, and the main cryptocurrency that had served as a means of payment for those who participate in bounties (ethereum), has lost the confidence of investors and developers who are looking for new alternatives to face the lack of capital willing to take risks in this market. Therefore, it is likely that the bounty hunters will have to settle for peanuts as of this year.

And now, when after three or six months of participating in campaigns you are compensated with tokens without any value and you realize that this business is dead, what are you going to do, bounty hunter?

But we have to fight this:
*first, we need to create a service that will carefully check all new projects,
*and secondly, we need to create a Committee that will protect all investors and people who participate in the of bounty campaigns.
And then the scammers will not be on our site, and all people will work with pleasure!

There is already a bunch of services that "carefully check the projects" - did all these icobench.com and icodrops.com really help you? They analyse the new campaigns based on certain criteria which is this deeply bearish market have lost their significance.
The second point - a Committee.. Do you really think that such an organization could help bounty hunters that were scammed? I personally can see no real mechanisms of influencing scam projects - nobody can freeze their funds, nobody even can 100% detect whether the project team used real identities.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget the past and move ahead on: September 12, 2018, 04:42:37 PM
Everything in life has past, present and future. Some of those who invested into some coins while their prices were higher, should try as much as possible not to dwell much on it, because if we continue to bother ourselves about the past loss, we will not be able to see the opportunities ahead.
The crypto space is full of opportunities, learn to find those alternative opportunities of earning tokens and explore.
That which you think might be a loss at this time, can give you huge profit later on in future.
You have a point about calming down the emotions, but we all should analyze out mistakes in order to avoid them in the future.
At the same time, the market is so much unpredictable now that it is try to make further plans even using technical analysis and things like that.
110  Economy / Economics / Re: When will smartphones used for bitcoin mining? on: September 12, 2018, 04:23:44 PM
As we all know that smartphones are just like computer nowadays that has strong storage capacity and processor. This I think could be enable to mine bitcoin and this is what I am waiting for if there are any smartphones company that would offer their smartphones for bitcoin mining or even as a smartphone that works as digital hardware wallet for bitcoin and other crypto. I am waiting for it to happen. Do you think that it will happen?
Unlikely.
I just can't imagine a cooler that will be able to lower the temperature of such a smartphone and an accumulator that would successfully withstand such a load on processor.
Anyway, technologies are developing exponentially, so we never know what new solutions will be discovered in yet a couple of years.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: Please, we should not totally eliminate fiat currency on: September 12, 2018, 04:16:47 PM
From what I have seen so far in this forum and other crypto platforms, most of us want fiat eliminated. But let us not forget that there are still situations whereby we can't use crypto except fiat like in rural places without computers or even internet facilities.
"Most of us want fiat eliminated", but the greatest majority are here only to exchange their crypto for fiat using the most favorable exchange rate  Grin
No worries, it could take a very long time for crypto to replace fiat and there will be a lot of problems that won't have a chance to be resolved even in like 50 years.
112  Economy / Economics / Re: War on cryptocurrency! on: September 12, 2018, 04:08:26 PM
Governments of many countries are practically declaring war on cryptocurrencies.
Why is that?
All normal well-developed countries are accepting crypto, and "war" is being declared only by backward governments that cannot provide economic stability for their citizens.
China is a bit out of this trend, but everything clicks into place when we remember that China is ruled by communist party - the one that has always wanted to gain full control of all the activities going on in the country.
113  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin investing on: September 12, 2018, 03:57:39 PM
so, what id like to do is invest bitcoins to a stock or mutual fund account, but am not sure the best way to go about it. any tips/advice?
I would not recommend this form of investment, since you can easily be scammed by such a mutual fund and won't ever get your funds back.
Why can't you just buy btc and keep them in your wallet? It would a much safer way out, and the current price of bitcoin is rather favorable for new investors.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop !! is it worth it ! on: September 06, 2018, 04:17:24 PM
I see many people following the Airdrop channels

They enter every Airdrop , Share posts on Twitter and Facebook

Is it possible to make some money from Airdrops

If Yes is it worth this the time and work ?
Airdrops have become a waste of time since the fees for sending those free coins to an exchange are mostly bigger the the value of the coins.
Insteaf of airdrops I would recommend taking part in bounty campaign as this is a more stable and reliable source of income.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Altcoins dump again? on: September 06, 2018, 04:12:51 PM
All Altcoins dump again. What is the reason? What happen crypto market in this time? What we need to do for this?Any suggestions...
Yesterday most of alts lost around 15-20% of their value, the market rapidly became red. People say this drop is related to selling more than 100k of Ethereum in a short period of time (two major transaction were made within 1.5 hour). I cannot give any other advice except for holding your coins and waiting for the market to recover..
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Beside Cryptocurrenices where would you invest? on: September 06, 2018, 04:09:21 PM
A lot of people now days jumping and investing in the cryptocurrency industry.
If you are not investing in crypto, where do you else invest?
Property ? normal crowdfunding? give your input
If I had enough savings I would love to invest in a small private hotel somewhere in the South. Such an investment allows to kill two birds with one stone: it is the real estate which may be sold any time and the business which gives a nice profit. And the third advantage is that I would be able to live in a warm country with summer all year round  Roll Eyes
117  Economy / Economics / Re: Which country will be the first to legalize Bitcoin? on: September 06, 2018, 04:03:29 PM
Or others Criptocurrencies I mean..

I'm looking forward to read and hear this news that will happen soon then what we are thinking..and it will change the way of action in economic world by who already are against BTC and stuff.
It has to happen ( even if I don't know how )

I bet in China  Wink
I heard that Germany recently legalized operations with crypto. There are also positive news from Switzerland, Canada, Ukraine and some other countries. China is too much conservative to let its people uncontrollably use bitcoin and othet cryptocurrencies. Same thing can be said about all Asian countries, which is due to their historically grounded socio-economical structure.
118  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Crypto help you out? on: September 06, 2018, 03:58:29 PM
This question is especially for those who have been into crypto for a long time. How did cryptocurrency help you, most specifically financially? Did you earn more? Gain more investment? I do have a friend who wants to get into crypto but he does not have a lot of savings in his bank account or any major investment. I told him to save more before getting into crypto because they still have mortgage and car loan to pay. Do you think crypto will help him out to?
Despite the fact that I haven't yet earned my first million with crypto ( Cheesy) it helped me to manage some of my critical debts. Even this small additional income proved to be useful for closing some of the holes in my monthly budget. So I definitely will go on doing the same things to earn those extra bucks.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: September 06, 2018, 03:54:25 PM
Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

I don't think this situation will change in the nearest several years - whales won't let their profit to go away. Despite all the noise about "decentralization" and bla-bla, in reality crypto market is controlled and manipulated by a thousand of major btc holders. Anothet big transaction of 45,000 btc - and its price will again go below $6k.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too late to invest in bitcoin? Is it a bubble? on: September 06, 2018, 03:50:00 PM
It is never too late to invest in bitcoin, since its price will steadily grow as the time goes by.
Another question is when investment should be made - if current price of $6,800 is okay for you or you may want for it to drop even more.
