101  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It is time to adjust the fee! on: July 25, 2014, 12:31:47 PM
As long as the exchange makes enough profits with these new fees to be financially healthy and does not need to run away with my coins, cheaper services are always welcome.

More efficient services always come from a good competition.

chinese exchange is coming, I can't imagine that daily trading volume over 100,000 per exchange for several weeks. More, a vicious competition with 0 fee, and its shady trading will be come.

even we can see "OKCoin Wants to Rule the International Bitcoin Exchange Market" on coindesk

0% fee model in China will keep fee low across all exchanges.

Too bad RMB is still a blocked currency, if not, they will probably kill all competitors out there.

106  Economy / Economics / Re: If a 2nd Financial Crisis is looming, how are you preparing? on: July 22, 2014, 04:47:56 AM

It all depends on how stable your job is.
I have seen people with stable, government jobs go about their daily life without a care in the world.  Grin

Reason why so many dislike government employees.
107  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin survive without the Internet? on: July 21, 2014, 02:56:18 AM
What about directly communicating from cell phone to cell phone? transmitting bitcoins that way.

Cell phone to cell phone communication relied on internet infrastructure.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Anonymity so important to you? on: July 21, 2014, 02:54:36 AM
If the government is determine to prosecute someone, they can find any excuse to make it happen.

Having anonymity make it harder for them.

111  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Money Even Need a Use Value? on: July 16, 2014, 03:57:46 AM
Transaction only happen when two parties exchanges good of equal value. Hence all money need to have value (regardless on how the value is derived).
112  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How long have you been using Bitcoin? on: July 16, 2014, 03:55:28 AM

Mostly selling to other users at small premium.
113  Economy / Speculation / Re: The day that could make us all millionaires! on: July 16, 2014, 03:53:35 AM
"dogecoin goes for 1 dollar,"

Someone drank the special special koolaid today.

Shoot while we are at it, maybe the Iraqi dinar can be worth $1 too... haha

The odd dogecoin going up to 1 usd wasn't too far fetched a few months ago.
114  Economy / Digital goods / Re: I am looking for a Bitcoin Earning Game script! For website on: July 14, 2014, 06:30:24 PM
A bitcoin script for  website, turnkey solution prefered.
or anyone know where such scripts are?

No one will freely give away a money tree.

The asking price usually carry premium when someone is selling.

Time will pass, August will come and go, September will come and go and the price won't even be 1000 again.

Summer is coming to an end and if anything might happen (ETF, SecondMarket), that might take until late 2014 or into 2015.

Thoughts.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way Wobber, I read all your comments and by your join date (2010), you really have seen a lot in bitcoinland. I respect your thoughts (trolling or not) and this thread is not to bash you (mostly having fun with a new post title).

I just wanted to see if people agreed with your quote, because it is starting to become a possibility.

He will most likely be right as a take a huge catalyst to push price above 1000.
116  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what exchange do u use? on: July 12, 2014, 01:26:18 PM
Depend on one's location also.
117  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 'to hit $2000' by end of the year | ThecTelegraph | #bitcoinprice on: July 12, 2014, 01:25:14 PM
Sorry, but this is so far fetched ... So this guy has the guts to predict a 200-250 per cent increase in the value of BTC. 'cmon, guys - how can he be serious about such a call. These guys are as big of a damage to the reputation of BTC as the ones trying to discredit it.

lol why? why is a 250% increase more far fetched than last years 550%? or the prior years nearly 1000% seems pretty conservative considering a bitcoin hedge fund is launching in like 3 weeks.

What bitcoin hedge fund you talking about?
118  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 'to hit $2000' by end of the year | ThecTelegraph | #bitcoinprice on: July 11, 2014, 01:33:15 PM
Time to be a bear when everyone is a bull.
119  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I like doing bitcoin trading to earn money on: July 11, 2014, 01:32:10 PM
Day trading has close to 100% failure rate.

I would not say 100 percent.  Make informed decisions, and most of all don't go all in to one coin.   And keep some in BTC and well known Scrypt coins.   There is great profit to be had on alt coins but don't just throw money at it and assume instant profit.  And do it slow learn and don't just jump in with all your coins at once.

People who rush into day trading are usually the impatient type. Most will not survive the first year while the learning curve is well longer than a year.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: When will people feel comfortable using BTC ? on: July 10, 2014, 01:35:20 PM
Need to make wallet more secure and easy to use.
