+1. I don't think it's a good idea to design a logo without first creating a brand identity and narrative. its 2014 only way to make a logo is make a bounty and whack it up at http://99designs.com/get the professionals to compete... i think solid and cryptodruti are at 99designs level, they just haven't put it in 3d or iron or something. but the arrangement is great Guys, is this not a cart-before-the-horse scenario? Getting a logo hastily and without a cohesive brand strategy will just come across as patchy and unprofessional. don't overthink this, its a cryptocurrency with a bad logo and it needs a nice new one , thats it, the brandof xc is beeing best in fundamentals and beeing visionary in new features imo, the logo just needs to look cool in webshops, ranking sites and merch. and it just needs to be up to standard I'm all for a bare-bones approach. Totally. What I mean though is that the role of branding, PR etc. is to clearly communicate the fundamentals. I'm sure you'd agree that they've been mostly obscured by FUD lately. We need good communication, and it's not hard to do properly. (In fact I've suggested to the Dev that I take it on.) I agree, There’s a lot of talk about how to get XC noticed by more people and a lot of suggestions have come by on the forum. But we should have a more strategic approach to this. Suggestion 1: Coordinate all external communication Everybody telling the same story helps the rule of repetition (communication is most effective when it is repeatedly brought to the attention of our target market) Suggestion 2 Anticipate on possible reations Before dev. makes a new announcement, lets think over the possible reactions from our target market and write possible responses to those reactions. Suggestion 3: Make a (short)list of possible comm. channels. Formulate what we want to tell about XC on each channel. Write pressreleases /flashmessages +1. I'm all for this. And it's gotta be done pretty professionally if we're to avoid drowning in FUD again. Maintaining a frank and current list of challenges is critical. That way, we're the first to say what isn't implemented yet, and why. This is how we build trust, through clarity and honesty. This requires proper coordination between Dev(team) and comm.team and should (preferably) be done in a secure environment. Yeah, it's strategic so it'll need a fair bit of discussing, regularly. But in the name of being candid and honest I'm not that concerned about the secure environment. Hell, let anyone see what's discussed. We'll have little to nothing to hide. We should definitely be honest and candid about the product. I just fear that open discussions about strategic comm. lead to nothing concrete. |

ATC's failure is that he didn't post enough bogus announcements, whitepapers, screenshots, or log into twitter and fud the crap out of the other alts. If he would have done that, we'd have easily broke 500k by now.

Ppl that are in crypto longer than 1 year know you have to risk sometimes a big time. I still remember selling 1500 LTC I bought at 50 cents, and after few trades I was on 480 LTC. have I lost 50000$ because I was scared? Yes I did... After few months, this shall look silly to us for two reasons: coin shall die, so it shall look silly we even invested. Coin shall live and gain value, so we shall laugh at how stupid we were thinking it shall be cheaper than cheap whore  . Time shall tell... Really... What is the fucking point of that post? Time is something I don't want to waste and feel stupid about, sorry. I think he means that we should all stop asking others what is going to happen or what we should do or make (unfounded) predictions. Nobody knows, so all YOU can do is what YOU think is best. |

I really like the bounty idea. Yes it could sting a little in case of failure but DRK is not anonymous yet.
Also if REV1 is uncrackable REV2 is going to be rock solid.
This could be really good press, and on it's own merits compared to sponsoring a car or a fighter.

Already done that, it was syncing fine until 23708, look at the block time for that block. It stopped again very recently okay well, for me it worked to DL the new wallet and delet everything except wallet.dat. i hadn't to even add nodes manually, everything works perfect for me (windowswallet). can't tell you anything better, sorry. but i forgot to reply to your "still not minting" Problem: staking is from 8hrs till 30 days. if your coins came to your wallet on may 20th, then it can take up to june 20th till the coins stake. that's why there is a Minimum and Maximum stake time. I've deleted my blockchain and resyncing. It's just irritating. As for minting, I have a lot of coins, I've been in since almost day 1, I should have done by now. Don't mean to be negative, just getting a little frustrated at present. you're not going to get rich quick over night, the minting/staking is 3.33% per year. it is a hit and miss within the 30 days and you only have just 1 day? from this forum people expecting to get rich by minting/staking and they want it now, it is not going to work that way. try to leave it for 30 days and come back to complaint if you haven't get any coin. My (mac)wallet has been open since the 24th and it just staked 1 hour ago. Just be patient. |

I would give a bit more time teka as for now I did not see anything business like apart from the one taken by Xavier I don't think there is any rush for the logo better come up with the beat ones rather than amotorial ones. +1 if you agree +1000 This extremely important for the future of this coin currency technology. Hmmm... by like 24hours? or should it be 48h? Thanks, but this is not the MAC wallet, it's windows. I don't think there is a mixer version for MAC yet. But this Pos issue is getting annoying. I've ben minting for at least 6 days now and haven't received any Stake (my wallet holds 8K+ XC). I hold even more and invested quite some money. It s really annoying that some seem to profit from POS and some just get nothing. I ve been a strong supporter but i really hope this is finaly fixed in the next version. PoS is 3.3% PER YEAR. You will catch up once the new wallet is released. How much interest you expect from 8k coins @3.3% yearly interest, per day? I can calculate what the average is if you are too lazy. Thanks, my problem is not the lost interest, I'm in this for the long run and hope to make much more in the future. But there has been little focus on the Mac-wallet (obviously, because it has much less users) and I'm just wondering wether it is still working correct. |
