Can you be more specific about the coin control fix? Was this simply a GUI change hiding the orphans, or is there something more fundamental that was fixed?
Not a GUI change, but under the hood there is something more fundamental. I changed the coin selection function to only return coins with at least 1 confirmation. Something about this with the new stuff in bitcoin core with HD wallets is causing the math to get thrown off, there is a "TODO" comment in the code from one of the core devs on one of the functions that says it has to be fixed  Anyway, the coin control issue and the orphans issue are two separate problems. The coin control bug is basically if you were breaking blocks down doing transactions really fast one after another, you could cause the wallet to get "out of sync", your balance would display wrong or maybe 2x your real balance, etc. and it is because of the math with the spent vs unspent coins and change addresses. dev prodigy thank him  |

Still waiting, I think. Won't be too long. I mentioned earlier I'm rolling in a patch to help with the orphan problem some cravers have experienced. So this update will be a protocol switch like a hardfork, which means everyone will have to update their wallets by a certain point in time. I was going to make that 2 weeks, but with the orphan patch I'm making it 4 days / by Monday in case exchange people or others aren't around over the weekend. Sounds like he's rolling in a patch first. I hope for the patch, because I too see tons of orphans! Masternodes might be in a day or two? hummm  , Okay, awaiting for it. |

at what volume though. it's not like we can sell our whole stacks and buy back lower. sure we're doing that at a small scale. but most of your stack will be off to the side. lastly. it's not possible for everyone here to do the same. there has to be a loser for every winner in that situation. it's like the guy who was bragging about catching some dump but in reality he's just averaging out. There will always be someone who thinks he can push the price down, if it does not work then he is the Loser. if some watchers follow with their dump, into his buys, then they are the Loser. can't win em' all   -_________________- ............... yeah that was nice. don't get me wrong, i shorted some of my stack yesterday. my point is that you would have to be a psychic or the one pulling the strings to have the balls to short your whole stack. or just crazy lucky. for the rest of us, we have to each decide what we're willing to risk. this market reminds me of Blackcoin last year aswell, and could take off at any moment. veteran traders will try to bait the noobs at every turn... watch out! noobs, moon ahead! The dev is the only one with the full picture. Whales operate off signals, they swing the market in the direction of the news. Delays mean she is going down, release means a massive dump, rumors mean a pump.

I don't know this for sure, but I think it is safe to assume that Bitkey will not be released on the 28th unfortunately.
Bitsta has said that it is being tested by a 3rd party coder to be completely sure that it can not be exploited.
It is a completely new and unique anon which Lynda to me like it will be the best and most completely anon solution developed in crypto to date.
Because of the way it works as I understand from the white paper there is a possibility that if it is not programmed very carefully and perfectly then it could be susceptible to exploitation and people could attempt to steal coins.
This is why I don't mind waiting a bit longer for it to be released since when it is done right, it will be worth the wait.
Fair enough - but I think it would help to have a general guesstimate of how far the date might be pushed back. Are we talking days, weeks or months? this makes no sense at all! Dev announced that he will be offline til sunday, just before the announced release and you start this kind of discussions In his last post, he didn't announce any delay. Just wait and see...the only thing you are doing, is bringing concerns Like I said, I really have no information as to whether or not Bitkey is going to released on time or if there will be a delay. I was merely giving my assessment of the situation based on the impression i got from Bitsta's post. I am not worried if it is delayed or not. It makes little difference to me. I am holding my ROOT until at least the end of this year after the launch of Rootex, and if it goes well, much much longer =) For me while anon transactions are a great feature for any coin, having a crypto which is backed by shares in a great exchange, that is really game changing imo. I am happy that I bought some at 10K sat. This coin looks decent. |
