This is sickening me.  I am issuing a challenge to non-trolls in this forum to step up and put some support behind Bruce.  He's not perfect, but he's our de facto spokesperson, and having his name dragged through the mud makes us all look bad.  For the sake of Bitcoins, stand behind Bruce Wagner.

Bruce hasn't done anything wrong.  He's not a scammer, a rapist, a pedophile, or any of that stuff people are accusing him of.  He's doing his best for the community and we should be thanking him.

Look, I don't care if Bruce is gay or has been a sex worker or any of that crap.  I don't believe he's a pedophile, and other than some kinks that I don't really share, he's proven himself to be 100% on the level.  Stop trying to dig for skeletons, trolls!

Do you not have anything better to do then post on a forum repetitively bashing posts? There should be a poll on this.

Ok, look.  I will make no bones about the fact that I finally signed up here, after reading a LOT of threads, because I could no longer suppress the urge to respond to Vagetta's posts.  I haven't been rude or particularly snarky to him.  I have simply tried to inject a bit of level-headedness to what I (and many others) consider delusions of grandeur.  He's talking like he's already revolutionized twitter in ways that make no sense and are demonstrably over-inflated, and he now thinks he's set to claim a meager 10% of the online porn industry.

If civilly questioning this sort of craziness -- which has nothing to do with bitcoin, I might add -- means I am "bashing" or "trolling" then these forums are even more of an echo chamber than I thought.  If Vagetta's plans seem sound and without reproach to a significant number of posters here, then good luck to bitcoin -- you may as well ban me now.

If people want bitcoin to be taken seriously, you need to be willing to tell the idiots they're idiots, rather than giving them a big pat on the back for being idiots who like bitcoin.

I'll post this over on the other forum too, just in case the libertarian ideal of free speech somehow fails to prevail here.

The purpose of the forum is to expand Twitter conversations beyond 140 characters. If you want to post something that's over 140 characters, and get it on Twitter, then Tweet Forum is the best way to do so. You don't have to know how to use Twitter either, just make a forum account and post! Everything you write will automatically be syndicated to anyone who follows the forum or the specific section where you posted in.

None of this really gives us any clue about what type of stuff you'd like to see posted.  I mean, the place is dead, so we can't even see what kind of community interaction you're even trying to encourage.

The reason why there isn't alot of active users is because the forum is only 1 MONTH OLD , yet we already have 2600+ members, and thousands of Twitter followers.

How many members do you have that have actually posted something?  Well, I can answer that, since it's shown in your member list:

18 users have posted 1 message
3 users have posted 2 messages
2 users have posted 4 messages
2 users have posted 10 messages (and one of them is clearly a spambot)

That's everything.  All of the rest of the posts in your forum are made by bots, moderators, or admins.

How can you possibly claim that the "2600+ members" statistic is meaningful in any way?  Even with an incredibly generous definition of "active" users, you appear to have exactly 3 active users.

Vagetta, I'm interested in your forum, but I'm not totally sure I understand the concept enough to jump into wanting to be a paid contributor.  Maybe you can help me understand.

When I look at the forum, I see thousands of posts, but effectively no content whatsoever.  Every single thread is started with simply a news headline with no link to an article and no commentary on the news item whatsoever, and almost none of them have any responses at all.  Further, almost 100% of the posts are simply posted by TweetForum itself, not any contributing users.  Browsing through the forums, I have been unable to find a single post that looks anything like actual users using the forum.

In addition, there doesn't seem to be any discussion on your forum's main pages about what exactly the point of the whole thing is.  Is the idea that people read the forum as an aggregator of tweets, or do we subscribe to your twitter feeds to get a feed of what people are discussing on the forum?  Either way, I don't see a single piece of useful content up there today, despite hearing wild claims of thousands of active users.

So given all this, what exactly are you asking us to contribute?  Would you like more news headlines posted without discussion or context?  Would you like responses to the news headlines your bots are posting?  What topics are appropriate?  Just news items?

You keep crowing about this achievement as if it's just plainly obvious how great the site is, but to me it looks pretty useless.  Maybe you should take a step back and just explain what the concept is in precise terms, instead of waving your hands and talking in generalities about web 2.0 and social media.  Tell us what use your site is.

OP, I am looking forward to this but I see that the obvious next step is that people are going to need a place to talk about your tweets about tweetforum.  That is why I propose setting up a forum in which to discuss them.  My site will be available at TweetForumTweetsForum.com in the next couple of weeks.  The tagline will be, "TweetForumTweetsForum, the Forum for Followers of Tweets About The Forum Which Tweets About News Headlines.  Tweet!"

I am not sure I believe the claims in the OP.

I agree that five posts and four hours sounds pretty reasonable.  I think I can do it.

Hi, I'm the BossChair.  I named myself after the one slightly fancier chair on the BitCoin show, because that's the chair the host gets to sit in.  I'm new to bitcoins and haven't really jumped in with both feet yet, but am interested in taking part in the discussion.

Welcome, xxxcoin!  I guess we joined at the same time.  Your coins sound dirty.
