101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a gambler becomes addicted? Lose/winning? on: July 21, 2024, 08:58:23 PM
Many of you have seen an addicted gamblers and if am correct some of us have been addicted to gamble but fortunately for you, you were lucky to realize how bad addiction can be and you limit yourself from gamble or take a break from anything bets.
However, it's just a simple question about addicted gamblers, like the topic above.
What really makes a gambler to become addicts to gamble?
Lose or winning?

Both factors can make a gambler addicted, in the aspect of winning I always say that greed fuels the addiction, cause the more you win
The more you want to keep trying and once you have this mindset you will be trapped in the loop of making a lot of money and throwing it away
In the aspect of losing, this can also make people addicted, especially if they've won previously and made a little loss...the smartest thing to do in this case is to give it a break after losing cause if you don't you'll definitely want to start chasing your losses
Once your mind has been programmed to always chase your losses you are going to lose everything you have, it doesn't matter if you get it back, once you lose a little that feeling of always getting it back will make you throw all your money away
So in my opinion both winning and losing can make a gambler become addicted
102  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People keep asking me to borrow money, some of them for betting on: July 21, 2024, 08:47:53 PM
It has become increasingly common for friends and not-so-close "friends" to come and ask me to borrow money. I don't usually ask for the purpose, but some ask me because of betting at online houses.

The last time I lent money to a colleague, who I hadn't had much contact with other than at work for a short period, it was with great difficulty that I got the money back.

I don't know where people get the amount of money they think I have, they must think I look like a bank...

Who likes having to borrow money? Unless you are a loan shark and lend with collateral where the risk is almost zero, why lend money where you end up with a loss? 'cause in addition to no one paying you with interest, most never pay you on time, at least you will get your money back after repeated charges.

Some people even go so far as to ask me to borrow money for what? to bet!! What a joke. I answer briefly and bluntly that I don't have the money to lend for these purposes!

And the worst thing is that they ask me for small amounts, like $2, 5, 10$... I think that if the person doesn't have that money now, the chances of them getting that money to pay you are low. If the person is in need, it's easier for them to confess right away to see what I can do, because I'm not a bad person.

Do you usually lend money to relatives, friends, etc.? Have you ever felt bad about it, done it unwillingly?

And when they are female friends, do you lend them?

As someone that is into gambling I can't lend money to someone that has an intention of gambling with it
Cause this might cause conflict later on and affect the relationship you have with that person
There's this thing that happens when you gamble with a borrowed money ,it doesn't always work out
I've experienced this several times, so it's best to just avoid the problem that might come at the end of the day
Not giving out money for this reason doesn't make you a bad person, if the person is rational he or she would know
You are just trying to save them from their careless decision
103  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football/Soccer Winning Strategy on: July 21, 2024, 08:40:16 PM
It worked for some time that I turned my $5 to $40 in 2 days of betting. This is just a test of it as I learn this from someone as well. He didn't teach me the entire strategy but just gave me a hint on how to do it.  So maybe if you can improve this sports betting strategy, you may as well contribute to this evolution.

So here are his words: Find a sport like Hockey where teams normally just score a few and usually the first team that scores wins the game. And then find a casino that lists live matches. And then Parlay on 2-3 games. Don't go more than that or it gets riskier he emphasizes.

So what I did is apply this same strategy on Soccer as well. Remember to do this on live matches.
So when you see game 1-0 and the team that score 1 has the odds of 1.30, I guess this is a good bet already. Just add another of these live games for your multibet and hope to win. Also, make sure it's already 2nd half.

Note: Not Guaranteed But Worth Trying.

I would love to give this strategy of yours a try, we've seen do many strategies fail because betting is mostly about luck
Considering the fact thst you turned two dollars to fourty dollars just in two days is quite impressive
We would like to see your winning tickets just to be sure
Then margin of 2 to 40 is quite high, so it means the odds are above two, which makes it a lot riskier
But if this is really something you did congratulations to you, always withdraw your profits though cause no  strategies can guarantee Profit everytime
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy is a failure if you are consistent with it on: July 21, 2024, 08:19:22 PM
I love roulettes because it is very easy to play and I see it relaxing. I bet with $3.5 yesterday using martingale strategy as I want to see what the outcome would be, I was able to win $6. $6 to $9 but it will go down to $3 until I won $10.  From $10 back to $6 until I won $13. Later I won $18. I played 5 consecutive times without winning at all and I lost the whole money. If won any among the 5 times selection, I would have increased it to back $18 or to $25. It was a boring day for me, I enjoyed the game, I wish to play more but I do not want to lose more money.

This system actually works for some people but it's very risky, you can't really predict what happens next
Especially if you are into casino games, casino games are controlled by the bookmakers, increasing your stake after losing might be
Disastrous...the martingale system is basically used to recover losses which isn't always advised in gambling
Chasing your losses might only result to you losing more. I agree with you on this, if this system of betting is practiced consistently
It will not be profitable in the end
Always have a specified amount that you shouldn't exceed whether you win or lose
105  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Why I think affiliate marketing is a scam on: July 21, 2024, 08:08:13 PM
We are all familiar with affiliate marketing and majority of us know that most people go into digital marketing just to scam others
Brands or companies won't pay anyone just for posting a review video of their products, it doesn't work that way
But most affiliate marketers claim that they know how to millions just by posting a review
This is a lie, all they want you to do is buy their courses or whatever they are advertising to you
They try to convince you that you can make millions within a few weeks, they call figures that they don't have in their account
There's no digital marketing course out there that can make you rich overnight.
The only way you can get paid for posting a review for a brand is if the brand posts your review videos and it is a view of 30 seconds or more from people, it doesn't stop there, after somebody views and makes a purchase of the product you advertised in the video, only then will you be able to get paid by the brand, you can't get paid by posting review videos only.
This are things that they might not tell you if you are not enlightened
I hope this helps
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Aviator games on: July 21, 2024, 07:53:10 PM
Why don't we talk about aviator games here? It looks like the least played casino game. I don't understand it is there anyone who plays it and what's it like? I have watched YouTube videos on it, but still don't get how it works. And the conversations here about it is scanty.

This is a very popular and well played game in Africa, I've really had bad experiences with this game and I won't advice anyone to go into it.. playing it is quite simple, all you have to do is place your bet and monitor the flight of the plane, the more it moves, the more the odd increases... if your stake is high you don't have to wait to get a big odd before cashing out cause the plane might fly off at any time
Do not believe people that tell you they have predictions that works, this game has no strategies or patterns that works, it's just based on luck and timing..predictions won't help, a lot of people have been scammed by people using this tactics.
Always have a limit and try not to go beyond it
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is addiction bad only when it is a problem? on: July 21, 2024, 07:41:28 PM
Addiction to gambling is not a problem for some gamblers because there are some gamblers who are addicted to gambling, but it doesn't affect the other activities of their life. They take care of their families, wear good clothes, smell nice, meet up with appointments but still cannot control the urge to gamble. It doesn't affect their life because they can afford to gamble and manage the loses they make. So, to these people addiction is not a problem. They are addicts, but because they are successful, their addiction is ignored or excused as it is not a problem.
So I am need to know, is addiction only bad when it is a problem?

Addiction will always be bad cause it will definitely lead you into the wrong path of making a bad decision that might affect your finances
You can't always be lucky some days are really good and some days are extremely bad.
I have not seen someone who's addicted to gambling that has his or her financial life under control, everything we do in life should be done in moderation, from my experience greed fuels gambling addiction, chasing more even after having some wins is a sign that you are getting addicted.
I'm of the opinion that addiction to gambling will always be a problem and can cause a lot of damage if it isn't controlled
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addiction causes loss on: July 21, 2024, 07:33:45 PM
I had a friend in the gambling circle,he was gambler addicted person over a year.I had advised him many times, but he is not ready to accept my advice in the gambling.Apart from gambling,my friend accept my advice without any hesitation. When I had a time on weekend,I get a chance to meet him in personal.I had some question about his gambling addiction, but the sad part is he is not accepted his gambling addiction towards the gambling site.

He said that he had nearly 64k dollars as a loss in the gambling site.In order to recover that 64k dollars,he keeps on betting from all his economic resources.I had advice him to use only 20 percentage of salary to get away from entire gambling loss. But he is now repeating the same 100 percentage of income from weekly, biweekly and monthly. So he was in the big loan problem.Still he is arranging funds from loan to play gambling, because he think that the recovery was possible at the place where he lost his money. What will be your suggestion for my friend to recover from the gambling addiction.

I always tell people that once you get trapped in that cycle of playing constantly you can never win, I always check the user sections on mmsport and sportybet aviator, people are constantly playing even when they are in profit they still continue till they lose everything they have won..This makes them start begging for money.. imagine having a lot of money in your possession and after a few minutes you are left with nothing, this can lead to depression and psychology breakdown.. whenever you are in profit avoid playing for a long time, it can be a month or two, limiting your engagement in this stops you from being addicted
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a gambler becomes addicted? Lose/winning? on: July 20, 2024, 11:44:44 PM
I think both factor to a certain level can you someone a gambling addict because there is the stage of winning and then not knowing when to actually stop playing and if you are not careful enough you might just end up losing out and then there is the part that losing comes in place , I mean it's the hardest to stop when you know you are already at loss so it's takes the two together to actually get your mentality all fucked up for good.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing, the Trump pump is beginning on: July 20, 2024, 11:41:27 PM
It appears that after having Larry Fink as the new mayor of bitcoin we might have a president of America that will be supporting bitcoin if Trump gets the victory on November hehehe. This is certainly shocking and very unexpected. I did not know bitcoin and the cryptospace would bring him much votes because why is he doing this if this is not a trick for bitcoiners to vote him?

Former United States President Donald Trump and the leading Republican candidate for November’s election appears to be warming toward Bitcoin  BTC +1.25% , having been critical of cryptocurrencies in the past.

In January, Trump said he'll “never allow” central bank digital currency issuance in the U.S. if elected. “Such a currency would give the federal government, our federal government, absolute control over your money… They could take your money and you wouldn’t even know it was gone,” he warned at the time.

In a recent town hall on Fox News, alongside South Carolina Senator Tim Scott, Trump was asked if the next logical step was for him to embrace Bitcoin, given that it’s decentralized, the government can't get its hands on it and all the young people who are particularly interested in it, host Laura Ingraham suggested.

“I always liked one currency. I call it a currency. I like the dollar, but a lot of people are doing it [Bitcoin] and frankly, it's taken on a life of its own,” Trump replied. “You probably have to do some regulation, as you know, but many people are embracing it. And more and more, I'm seeing people wanting to pay Bitcoin, and you're seeing something that's interesting, so I can live with it one way or the other.”

Read in full https://www.theblock.co/post/278786/donald-trump-bitcoin-embracing
Am a bit curious on one particular note by the way and that's the aspect of mixers here in the community and the united States government as a whole, I just wandering if the case could be reverse if actually Donald trump's vouch for Bitcoin is sincere enough and he gets to win the election and becomes the united States president for the second time, is there any chance that Bitcoin might have a friendly picture in the affair of the country and law makers.?
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you cashout or wait for the game to conclude? on: July 20, 2024, 11:33:55 PM

I saw this on the media so I decided to bring it here in the forum for us to discuss about it. If you notice in the first image, the bettor played a very risky game which comprises of 15+ games with a huge fee of 1m naira. Please take note that this post is not to promote risky gambling or mislead people to emulate his strategy cause left for me I think he's lucky if he happens to win this bet. Now back to our main point of discussion which is on the second image, out of 17 games, 15 played with just two left and based on the date in the image I think Austin FC won Los Angeles Galaxy 2-0 making it the last game left, now if you were the bettor and was given a cashout of 12.4m out of 36m to be won would you rather be patient for the last game to conclude or you'll go with the cashout? Also note that if you cashout you are safe atleast you have made 11m plus extra cash and if you decide to wait it's either you lose or win 36m, what would you do?

Before considering cashout compare your stake to what is being given as your Cashout, 1 million to 12 million is a high margin, when playing multiple games remember that one single game can ruin your huge win, out of a long list of games it would be heartbreaking if you had a cut one or cut two, knowing that your stake was a bit high
Even if at the end of the day you cash out a slip that was successful, don't reminisce instead focus on the fact that you are in profit
Remember it's football, anything could have happened, you played your role by being fast and smart
We should always avoid greed and inculcate risk management
112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Investment in gambling on: July 20, 2024, 11:22:59 PM
Some persons says gambling is not an investment due to its risky levels but a game of entertainment while some persons says investments are likely to be gambling because you don't foresee the future and can't predict the later outcome.

I think I am exploring in this gambling spaces of risk bearers. While being aware about the techniques in the Ponzi Schemes of attracting the audience to invest lower amount and earns higher, the Investors runs greedily out of their emotional controls and then Invest more than they could afford to loose just because they are attracted by the returns of interests.
Now I am one of the audience (investor) who accepted to face the risk too with my own technical contrast that if it works as thought it is assumed that I won but if it doesn't, then it is assumed that I was late and has lost it.
Now, introduced to an ongoing Ponzi Scheme which I got interest on but then, I tends to know how long the platform has been lunched and the number of participants so I would know the risk level I could be, then I learnt it is about a month launched with about 200+ participants.
Drastically, I feel they are not closed to hitting the scam (platform cashes) button yet because they have less number of participants with minimum of funds in the platform yet which determines the factorizations of them considering to hit the scam buttons.
Now, the platform is programed on daily interests accumulations which can be withdrawn on daily basis depended on individuals decisions.
I already invested $20 on two of my accounts which I have   also made a total of $26 in less than 3 days through the daily withdrawal methods and yet my daily interests keep accumulating and I am up to make more cashouts. Lol.
At this level, I hope if anything compromised maybe they finally hits on the scammed buttons I am of no lost but has profited. So, I awaits them to do their worse. 😆.

This is the level States of mind this gambling space has inspired and aspired me to risks bearing. By so doing, I undertake this circumstances to be an investment because it has the potential to yield incomes and otherwise, it is accompanied with a gambling system because it comes with some analytical mindsets with indictments of greeds if not in control of your emotions. So, you either not invest with what you can't afford to loose or you faces emotional breakdowns.

This is my exploit and diverse in gambling of chasing profits.

Investing and gambling, I think these two words shouldn't be used together cause an investment is something that's guaranteed to give you profit in a short or long term, it depends on what you are investing in
Gambling on the other hand is a game of probability, no matter how sure the odds are anything can go wrong and distabilize your entire plan.. there's no strategy that can always put you in profit in gambling, if you are a constant player you are definitely going to win and lose
But some people have a lot of losing streaks than winnings.
It's better to invest in a physical business that you can monitor by yourself than fixating all into gambling
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Those who judge gamblers, only to find themselves gambling. on: July 20, 2024, 10:29:04 PM
At first some judge gamblers often and later they become gambling addicts. I found it very serious to be curious and know what may have been their reason for the sudden change of mind. I know that there are difficult times to make money and maintain money, which is a world problem. I have had some thoughts on it and this is what I think may have been the reason.

1. In the beginning they may have been doing well financially and see no reason to gamble, maybe life later on throws them a financial curveball, or perhaps responsibility compels them to look for quick money through gambling. If not attempting gambling was an ethic for them they should have stuck to another alternative why did they choose this one?

2. On second thought. I feel it is the influence and conviction of people around them who are into gambling that made them go into gambling at the end of the day.

However, it is a sad story to see people who cast away gamblers thinking they are irresponsible, and then fund themselves on this same web doing the same thing. It reminds me of how vulnerable humans can be, and that anyone can change habits when a condition falls on them.

I always tell people not to judge what they don't understand or can't relate to, this was my experience, I had no reason to gamble
And always judged those who engage in it, until I started going into it gradually and got consumed by greed
A gambler loses more money because he's trying to get back what he lost, this is where the situation might get really bad
I didn't know why someone could stake a huge amount of money and keep on staking till everything is completely gone
Till I started doing it, we all have our stories to tell
Don't lose yourself in the process, seek help if you can or talk to those who also gamble and find a way out of the addiction together
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After Effects Of Gambling In Your Health And Pocket on: July 20, 2024, 10:06:29 PM
Why did I start this topic? I experienced this myself, and so are my friends who are into gambling, and I'm sure many of you did too.

We have been advocating for responsible gambling in this forum, but there will be a time or circumstances when you lose control. When I lose control of my bets, I usually run out of money for my family's budget, which results in financial difficulties I have to take a loan to cover expenses.

Also, one of my friends suffered from heart palpitation because of overexcitement from long hours of playing; in my case, I sometimes felt a headache even though I won from over-excitement that I carried even in my sleep, which is why I limit myself from betting on horse races, I replace it with betting in a lottery, sometimes you gotta do what you have to do to combat the bad effects of too much gambling.

So I ask each and everyone What are the other bad effects of gambling that make you stop or limit how you play?

I will lock this thread after 40 replies or 4 days after the creation which one came first

Gambling can affect your health especially if you are addicted to it, constant heart palpitations can come in due to anxiety and fear of losing what you staked, and if this palpitations happens repeatedly you are at risk of having a high blood pressure or stroke
Some people can't relate to this cause they either gamble for fun or stake what they can lose comfortably
Gambling under duress can push you to make some wrong choices that might affect your finances
A friend once told me that gambling is for those that are rich, it's for those that can lose a lot and still feel nothing
Once you notice that it's affecting your health it's wise to opt out immediately
Remember health is wealth
115  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy the DIP, and HODL! on: July 20, 2024, 10:04:04 PM

if you're a HODLer you should actually have a good understanding of the basic technical side of Bitcoin. It helps not to panic because you know Bitcoin has massive potential value, although sometimes there might be some anxiety. We are still humans.

As for long-term Bitcoin holders, I don't expect them to be panicking about the price of Bitcoin after they have understood the basics of Bitcoin. I don't really see why someone should panic about their Bitcoin investment when the history of Bitcoin has already shown that Bitcoin holders have great opportunities to make more profit from Bitcoin. So, for anybody who wants to enjoy their Bitcoin investment and make reasonable profits, they should have a mindset of holding Bitcoin for the long term. The easiest way to accumulate Bitcoin without much worry about the price is by using the DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) method, which involves buying on a regular basis.

No matter how you see this, there are still some people who don't have this confidence in the price of Bitcoin and that's because not everyone is your long term holders some Bitcoin investor are just after their little profits of which is very risky. Panicking when the price drops is a actually a sign of not knowing the true value and worth of Bitcoin. The same panic that is done with the amateur holders the experts and determine investor see as a window of opportunities to actually buy when the price is up.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How has a significant win in gambling changed your life? on: July 20, 2024, 09:59:30 PM
This will be more for those who already have tasted what it means to win a very big amount of money in gambling, not for those who are still aspiring for such an opportunity, though it doesn't mean we cant plan and prepare ahead prior the time when ours will come, most of those who won big in gambling needed up wasting the money and got broke back because they never planned for it, ours should not be the same way, we have to prepare ahead and use our money wisely on profitable investments.
But the bitter truth about gambling money is that it actually tastes different as it brings out the other character and sometimes this shallow mentality of the money being free money keeps playing on your mind and that's why most people who experience the bigs never really think twice before spending the money thinking that there is still plenty where the one they are spending came from.
117  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Safe guard your seed phrase. on: July 20, 2024, 09:57:30 PM
The first day when I join this forum, I create electrum wallet but I never put Bitcoin inside because I never gather money and some kind Bitcoin knowledge.
But this seed phrase matter, eating I understand about am be say if e lose no way to take recover am back, and yesterday I still see one topic, way talk about seed phrase. by PrivacyG
And this seed phrase are very important to us as a crypto user seed phrases are words that can safe guard ur account
we human being we dey forget things well well, so if we won create electrum wallet them go give us some words and those words nai be our keys to reopen the wallet just Incase our phone lose or get one or two issues.
Some people dey share their phones with their friends, so it is better not to save this ur seed phrase in ur mobile phones or even ur google account because hackers fit get access to this ur seed phrases anytime them yet get small opportunity.
but once you collect am carry pen and paper write am down keep, make ur phone loss nothing concern you, your account still dey for you but be careful where you keep am when you done write am down.

I always tell people that screenshot your seed phrase isn't safe cause anything can still happen, it's always best to write to down somewhere or simply save it in your email for quick recovery
Screenshoting it can also expose you to getting hacked, especially if you are constantly giving out your phone to other people
Personally I don't like this seed phrase of a thing cause I feel it might cause some issues if I get it mixed up
I always prefer Gmail verifications if that option is available, I find it easy to access my wallets with this
118  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Crypto Airdrops: the game changer on: July 20, 2024, 09:47:58 PM
The Crypto space has been gaining mass adoption through airdrops.
For a while now more and more people have gotten into crypto due to the airdrop awareness. And because of the traction it’s gaining, developers are using this period to put their works out there, making good use of the attention and buzz(that’s why u see so many these days). Though most projects have been successful. This is also a good time to invest in crypto if you haven’t, you can start with the Alt coins or join in the meme coin race and wait for the bull run.
No dulling as u no get money for the big boiz (BTC,ETH)use this time invest adequately in alt coins. Some of them can x100 or x1000.

But before you invest, make sure to do your research properly.
Find out who’s behind the project, the companies, the tech gurus, their social media traction etc.
You have to be very patient, Focused and prepared or ready to invest and reinvest.
There are so many alt coins you can invest like shibba, not, doge, core/come, donk, subquib, wem etc….. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH.

CRYPTO IS THE FUTURE

Relying or hoping on airdrops now is definitely a wrong move to make, most projects coming out these are just to scam people or try to get traffic to their social media pages, There are airdrops that have done well in the past but looking at how things are going I'd say that
I'm a bit skeptical towards most airdrops
I got involved in oex airdrop one of satoshi projects, we Ve been waiting for them to launch for months but we haven't heard anything from the developers, I don't think airdrops are still what they used to be in the past..
Or are they specified areas of airdrops that should be focused on?
Between social Fi, web3 games or satoshi projects which one of these is promising?
119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The real winning of gambling is withdrawals on: July 20, 2024, 09:16:31 PM
Whenever I win, I usually feel this strong urge to gamble more and also increase the amount I'm using to gamble. I do fall for this urge most times and the result is always disastrous as I end up losing the money I won with great pain and regrets. The only time I can say I have won is when I make withdrawals and possibly use the money for something else. As long as the money is still in the platform, there is a high chance of using it to gamble more. I decided to create this topic to see how other people manage their winning in gambling. If I notice a better approach, I will switch immediately as I don't want to continue experiencing the pain of winning and later losing the money again.

From my experience withdrawing your profits is the best way to go, you are not in control of the market, you can't always rely on your strategies. Winning a bet makes you want to play more games and stake higher but doing this is only going to put you through a rollercoaster of emotions, instead withdraw your profits and continue staking with your capital
Don't let greed kick in because that's what the bookmakers use against gamblers and if you feel like withdrawing all your winnings and taking a long break that's also not a bad idea, investing into something else with that money you won is better than throwing it away
Always play safe guys
120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing the money in gambling, what is your strategy on: July 20, 2024, 08:53:57 PM
The gambling is the game with both the possibility, but most of us fail to understand the possibility of losing in the gambling. So if the gambler get into the gambling,in the behalf he had agreed to lose the capital on their bad luck. Some new gamblers most feel this way of thinking after the loss in the gambling, but the experienced gamblers will ready to move on,because they know with their knowledge he can make the big money in some day.One if my friends had loss nearly 2000$ in the gambling, because of his loss even his family suffered a lot in financially.Even his family not able to afford to pay their rent for their house for the few months.

I had suggested my friend to quit gambling and I had feel that he totally get addicted to the gambling.Which was the cause for the many high risk to get into the complete loss. But he clarify me,he had loss the money because he had follow the same betting strategy with the changing algorithm of the gambling site. From his experience,I had learned we should not follow the same betting style for the changing algorithm.

Now he had decided to start the gambling again with the loan money to balance the previous loss of 2000$.What is your opinion on this,I had suggested him to go to the regular job to reduce the loan in step by step to reduce the loan burden. But he had word of “We can earn,Where we had loss everything “.Share your opinion on this.

The worst mistake any gambler can ever make is chasing your losses after losing money, learning risk management is very important
Even if there's a possibility that you might recover, the best strategy is to do nothing for a while, give yourself a break, this is where self control comes in.. chasing your losses or using the martingale system might just put you in a more precarious situation
If it's a casino game just do your best not to play again, find other things to do to get your mind off it
Always tell yourself that the money you lost is gone, don't try to get it back, instead learn from your mistakes and move on
