Bitcoin Na decentralised currency and since nobody dey control, Na only em just dey sell emself, Wattin shock me pass Na those people wey been dey advice people not to buy, today many of them now Na better holders. Some people say all those people Na destiny delayers  Grin e better make you know Wattin you dey do, this Bitcoin of a thing, after the period in the next 10years we no go see this kind price again. And Na because of this increase dey make people wey been no get interest start to love am,  our people say big fish dem dey stay for the deep part of the sea while the small small ones Na dey disturb the surface of the water.
102  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Can Bitcoin help to reduce crime? on: June 15, 2024, 07:31:26 PM
I never really get your point but be like you dey talk about airdrops and other crypto wey you fit win prize or giveaway because for anyone to fit hold bitcoin the person go get money first. Aside say we need to get money first other ways dey wey you fit own bitcoin clean and smart like when you get skill mostly technical skills you fit still render your service and your payment method for come as bitcoin that one be say na your skill you give out. Definitely na person wey dey idle dey always think negative things like causing harm or kidnapping as nothing fit come out but if them fit get the privilege to get knowledge and work bitcoin can still be an option as bitcoin investment na better investment.

Normally we all know say one of the reason wey make governments dey fight against crypto Na because them feel say people dey use am do bad things because of em decentralised nature, especially hackers, if them get you down e go dey almost impossible to trace until dem make one careless mistake. But on the other hand, if our government dem decide to use crypto come make the wallet address of the country transparent, anything wey happen we all go see am, and that one go put fear for their body to collect anything outside signed and budget.
103  Economy / Gambling / Re: Warning DWC on 8bet.io , They Recently started limiting withdrawls on: June 15, 2024, 07:19:56 PM
Personally, I think that their ToS allow such kind of limitations. Otherwise It Will sounds Just as a scam accusation.
Of course wait and just move coins out and stop gambling in their platform...
But the Op according to him, he is not a new gambler in the 8bet casino site but since from 2021 and that means he has been withdrawing without complain and according to him, the limitation is a new implementation in the casino and he is not comfortable with that. Then another thing he also complained about is the service support team, which is not favorable and making things difficult for customers and that is where my interest is. And if any service providers has no live chat service then I don't have advice to use the service because at the end you will be scammed or lost funds and you can't chat anyone to lay a complain. Steer clear from such service.
And also it might maybe be as a result that the casino isn't currently having enough funds to back up their users again thats why they have decided to limit the withdrawal amount which if you ask me is obviously not a good idea to even continue playing with the casino because maybe one day you might hit a jackpot that might be even big enough that the casino won't be able to process.
104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: June 15, 2024, 07:16:27 PM
Not only sports betting but all gambling, there is no chance of certainty in any bet. When one places a bet he must think that he will lose that bet. Those who only try to win will never win. I would agree with the OP's topic that gambling is all about luck. If one does not leave it to luck in gambling then he is bound to face huge losses. Those who have skill and experience will be ahead to win in gambling but there is no chance of guaranteeing the win.

All gambling games is all about luck be it sport betting or casino games. Because even the most obvious wins in sport betting could latter turn into loss. A game of 4:0 can end up with 4:4 draw so there is nothing you can do about it. We only make predictions to make the games more fun by thinking and using our own perspective to make predictions, and if we eventually we often take the glory as good predictors, but we only won because luck was on our side. Anyone who don't believe in luck is likely to spend their time making up assumptions how the casino program works in other to ensure continues win. Yeah I heard of some folks studying the games with respect to time, thinking they can accurately make predictions just by learning all those tricks.
105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: In Your Country Who Gamble More? Young Ones or Elderly Ones on: June 15, 2024, 01:52:33 PM
Do you see such elderly people in your country? Or is it only in Africa? Is the younger ones play gamble more than the elders?
It's also the same in my country but I don't have such data to say which is more and less but I'd only say that I see both in all ages that does gambles. A young ones or a young professional at the right age that becomes addicted in gambling and having problems on how they'd spend their money well and to keep themselves in intact budget. And the same goes for the elderly, they're professionals, have got a job and family but also, they're experiencing problems when there are times that they spend 1/4 to half and even full amount of their salaries.

In my opinion, I believe young gambler are more than the aged gamblers, that is if the age range for separating the young from the old is 50 year, then it's obvious we'll find more of the young ones gambling offline and online. Most of the old gamblers gamble more for fun sake and to relieve their self from stress and all of that, but majority of addiction gamblers are the young ones. From the house games I've been to the young who are desperate in making money without jobs usually get addicted. The old are usually assumed to be more experienced in making decisions than the young.
106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did gambling losses are traps to new game on: June 15, 2024, 01:37:00 PM
^

I think you are describing an irresponsible gambler. A responsible gambler limits his deposit to avoid losing more money than he can afford to lose. He will never take a loan for gambling, because gambling is not an easy way to make money, but entertainment, for which you have to pay. Even if a gambler does not realize it immediately, it will come with experience. Of course, it is better to learn from other people's experience, but it is not given to everyone.

You're absolutely correct mate, a responsible gambler shouldn't take loans to gamble, even if the urge keeps hitting hard to recover his loss he isn't supposed to fall for such. Just as the op said, that his friend borrow from their friends to gamble when he wants to get back at the casino, trying to win back his losses. This shows that his friend is addicted and he need solid advice from an experienced therapist to talk him out of that addition. There is a famous saying that if you can't Beat them, join them. If you can't talk your friends out of addiction they might in the other hand talk you into it except you are truly discipline. And in the first place I wouldn't give any addicted gambler loan of any kind, because I know they'll definitely not pay back.
107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino gambling is more of profit chasers while land base is more of fun on: June 15, 2024, 01:10:47 PM
Determining which one is more profitable is certainly difficult, because the profits that can be obtained from gambling are more likely to depend entirely on luck. However, the excitement may be more in offline casino gambling, because there we can see the surrounding conditions with lots of people gambling and there are many different types, you will also see the different attitudes of each person in gambling. Also in online casinos we can enjoy the atmosphere by seeing people gambling and winning, of course this will usually make the casino atmosphere more lively. Currently, perhaps more people are gambling online, but it is true that it has not been proven to be profitable.
but I think it is the same as offline casino gambling which has not proven to be profitable even though many people gamble there. Apart from that, the pleasure depends on each individual, it's just that in the casino there are other pleasures that can be obtained, such as seeing other people win at gambling or other things, we can even make new friends in offline casinos if we can blend in well with the environment.

Before online casinos were created, most bettors often win huge from gambling and some which were lucky and responsible used money from gambling to create wealth for themselves by investing with it, but today most persons prefer to gambling in online casinos than physical visit a gambling house, and the wins which we often hear of from gambler are from online casino. However we are getting digitalized and I believe in no time almost all in-house gambling games can be accessed online by gamblers from different locations and making the game more fun, features like voice call, chart, video and all of that would work just fine.
108  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one of those did you partake in? on: June 15, 2024, 12:47:39 PM
I am beginning to think that the only time a gambler gambles for fun is only when he gambles with what he can afford to lose. In this case, a gambler has $10,000 as his savings, and he gambles with $1000 down, he or she won't feel sad when they lose it (it means they gambled for fun). But if a gambler who has the same $10,000 gambles for above $5,000, and he loses all of them, the gambler won't be happy about his actions, and it might result in chasing of losses (which means he didn't gamble for fun). It means that both those that say they aren't gambling for fun sometimes gamble for fun, mostly when they risk an amount they can afford to lose. The actual time you gamble for fun is when you risk what you can afford to lose and not when you say you want to gamble for fun. However, a gambler might say he will gamble for fun and still end up not gambling for fun when he starts gambling. One can know a responsible gambler if he starts gambling.

To be honest, gambling with $1000 when you have only $10,000 as your savings is too risky for fun sake, at most $500 which would be used to play multiple games with small stake. The essence of gambling with small stakes is to increase your gambling time and fun, else gambling with huge stakes is an obvious fact that the gambler is gambling to make extra money. Gambling with what you can afford to loose is the best thing to do if truly the gambler doesn't want to get addicted.
109  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A man is unable to collect his price cos he forget where he bought the ticket. on: June 14, 2024, 10:48:56 PM
I noticed on the news that a man won a lottery and when he arrived to claim his prize, he was requested to state or provide information about where he purchased the lottery ticket, which he couldn't do because he didn't know where he obtained it. It drew my interest, and I wondered if forum users could still tell where they purchased all of their lottery tickets in the previous six months (For those who still engage if physical tickets).

If you’re interested in the news you can read it here: https://toronto.ctvnews.ca/ontario-man-can-t-collect-lottery-prize-after-he-forgets-where-he-bought-ticket-1.6924708
Well I don't do lottery tickets that much but I do understand the fact that keeping to vital information is key especially when they find a place to trap you. For some reason I won't blame the fellow because he might have actually had some feelings of nonchalance because of maybe due to the fact that the many they have bought have all been asked. Even in your betting accounts one can still make Mistakes, @when you fail to have the right credentials for the Watters.
110  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What if you have a casino? on: June 14, 2024, 10:41:10 PM
A little guessing the thoughts of casino owners and gambling dealers when they see gamblers playing in their casinos, what might come to mind?

The name of the business is opening a casino definitely wants to make a profit, while people who come to the casino to seek profit too, although not all, but focus on one object of people seeking profit.
If you were the owner of the casino, what would you think when people like that gamble at your place?
Well as a business minded person, trust me it would really gladden my heart knowing that my business is actually doing quite well because the gambling industry only strives and flourish by the losses that comes to the casino house and that's the way these owners are always on the better side for gamblers to lose, its just as saying more looses equal to more profits for the master mind behind the casino.
111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fixed match or not? on: June 14, 2024, 10:35:38 PM
Pretty much a fixed match. Otherwise, scoring all these 43 goals is impossible. Man it's 1 goal every 2 minute almost lol.

Like this is an open broad day match fixing, I do wonder how some teams are able to score their opponents so many goals upto even 20 goals and above i begin to think if they suddenly converted the game into a basket ball match to score that large numbers of goals lol because it's so strange how a team can beat their opponent as many goals to the extent of scoring 43 goals just for them to top the league table with a goal difference, like this is the highest match fixing of the century if you ask me. Well such a thing happens more in all this junior leagues no team can try such in senior leagues except that club want to be banned from playing.
Well Bayern Munich have actually won some team in a match with a scoreline of about 23 goals scored by bayern Munich but this particular scoreline of 43 goals is just something else and although what am just confused about is that even if a match want to fixed would the teams actually make it this obvious that it will draw and cause attention to them, I mean it could be a simple win and that's all not going all out and scoring that insane amount of goals.
112  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: crypto vs content creation, which is more profitable? on: June 14, 2024, 10:28:42 PM
Since most youths have seen that social media skit makers are cashing out big and living expensive lifestyles, we've noticed a majority of youths creating content up and down some of which are too irrelevant and contribute nothing to the viewers. They just want to get paid and since they want to get the required views and followers before their account is monetized, they are willing to go to any extent just to look for views including showing nudity and spreading false and unverified news just to attract their audience. In the end, some of them luckily get their accounts monetized and earn from it pulling up more crowds into the sector as though it's the only source of wealth in the digital space.

For us at this end, we know that ours isn't as loud as that of content creators and most of us normally enjoy doing things on the low key to avoid too much attention from our financial agencies since it appears as though they have a thing against us. For the traders, we know the risk involved and that it could get too good at some point or get bad at some other time, and then for the long-term investor, we know that our return doesn't come within a short space of time compared to most verified content creators that are currently earning from their page.

Which is more profitable? Content creators or crypto traders/investors.
Well I would choose content creation for one peculiar reason and that would be due to the risk involved with in crypto trading although for investment in bitcoin I think every one knowing the basics can invest and with the way things have already gone big with bitcoin the profits attached to just investing on bitcoin is not close to the money that content creation can generate for you if actually you are successful and know exactly what you are doing.
113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: June 14, 2024, 10:03:07 PM
Apart from the fact that Real Madrid have a nice squad, there are other competitive teams like Liverpool that you just mentioned though i doubt their ability since Jurgen Klopp will be ending his coaching Job with the team the other clubs includes, Manchester city, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, PSG and Arsenal those are the teams with fairly good squad that can be able to compete the Champions league trophy with Real Madrid.

The UEFA Champions League is never considered simple, there's actually good proportions of winning. Real Madrid, Manchester City and Liverpool have proven to be prominent in recent seasons and having a bright future ahead is the deal. Real Madrid is the best club because they've become one of the successful club. While for other elite team that's mainly struggling to win the UCL trophy, really a tough moment.
The Champions league is very competitive, a league among champions from different leagues is supposingly to be a tough one and for Madrid to keep on winning it shows their greatness compared to other champions. This coming Champions league will be a tough one compared to the last, each qualified teams are currently on a good form to withstand as much  competitor so the fight for the title won't be an easy one but yet Madrid still has it at the tip of their fingers as they are more likely the favourites to win it again. Manchester City will put on a good fight same with Arsenal and probably among the best from Leverkusen base on peoples speculation.
Well if not for anything then maybe probably due to the fact that all teams will try their very best this time not to allow Madrid be the champions again. I believe the main focus now will be for other teams to actually check mate the whole Madrid tactics so they can look for a way to stop them because it would be really annoying to Madrid with the champions league again because it would be as if the whole champions league was made and crafted for them.
114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2024/25 Season on: June 13, 2024, 11:57:29 PM
Alot of the sentiment on this thread over the last few days have been largely centered on Madrid winning the title for the second time in a row. As much as they're the true kings of the tournament and are in a really great place right now where they can perform and compete with any team right now, I'm not 100% certain that they can win it yet. A lot of twists and turns are gonna be there and like all football games, the best teams don't always win and I can see that happening with Madrid. There are teams that could still handle them well in the UCL.

My options are still open even though my default, biased choice is going to be Liverpool.
Really? Liverpool is your choice on this ? I don't know if you missed the part that they are actually trying to switch their manager and we all know the effect that normally holds in a club and for the case of Liverpool I just hope it's positive rather than negative because jorgen kloop is actually a really good coach and I find it hard to believe that someone would easily just implement or even do better than what he has done in Liverpool.

A change in the Liverpool team would be good, but such an experienced coach should not be changed.  Although the performance of Liverpool team players has been very poor at present, as I have placed two bets on Liverpool team in the last month or so I have lost there. So I will definitely talk about their performance but it will be best if they change and the team can perform stronger.

Well I don't actually know where you driving at but Liverpool has never been a team just that they heard some set backs as the league was drawing close to an end but of which they actually bounced back but that isn't the center of focus for now, what is being talked about is the effect of them actually having their current coach jorgen kloop leaving the club and this is reason why am being skeptical about @nelson actually giving Liverpool a better hand in stoping the likes of Madrid this coming champions league.
115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: June 13, 2024, 11:37:45 PM
Yes, it is indeed reported that Bayern Munich is interested in Jonathan Tah, and Tah is also interested in going to Bayern Munich if his career at Leverkusen ends. In fact, the two of them have also reached an agreement, although not yet official, for his move to Bayern Munich. I don't know for what reason. However, based on the press release, Leverkusen is actually in no rush to sell this player to Bayern Munich. Leverkusen of course wants high sales to get as much fee as possible because after all Leverkusen also has to get other great players who will definitely also be expensive.
Bayern Munich have to reshuffle their squad for next season because it's all whole big challenge for the club. They were trophyless previous season and the new coach, Vincent Kompany would do anything within his space to ensure he's bringing to Allianz Arena, major titles. Atleast they're coming for literally every major titles on their path, Bundesliga Giant are here to revived themselves back to the top level.
Bayern Munich centre-back transferred Hiroki Ito from Stuttgart. Bayern Munich started the transfer season very quickly. To be honest, they need to spend well to build the best squad. Such a giant team finished last season without a trophy. With the reinforcement of Hiroki Ito, Bayern Munich has strengthened its defense well and with Min-jae Kim at centre-back, there is curiosity about how these two will adapt.

Bayern Munich have a really big job to do next season and it's seem their fate is dwindling as the new coach is someone with less experience about the job, I don't know but it seems Bayern Munich has something to prove next season as their league is getting hotter by the day and next season will even be more because the competition will be really fierce among these teams as Dortmund too is getting geared up for the new season.
116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: June 13, 2024, 11:06:56 PM
Boehly's ego exceeds his bank account. He thinks he's smarter than Pochettino, a manager who knows what he's doing. Pochettino was creating something special at Chelsea by integrating young players like Jackson with veterans, and it was working. Boehly seems impatient and thinks he knows better.

So what if Jackson missed several chances last season? His gift is raw. Pochettino could've made him a top scorer. But Boehly fires Poch and hires a new guy who may bench Jackson for a showy, expensive player he bought. This is chaos, folks. Boehly's gamble will cost the club and fans.
Todd Boehly is an impatient person while Pochettino is late in making improvements to his team it is only at the end of the season that he does so while throughout the season Pochettino did a very poor job so the board of directors considered whether or not to keep him but obviously Pochettino had to go.

Do you believe Jackson would have been better under Pochettino? But we know Palmer is better than Jackson.
For me he is not a great player needs to adjust again with the new coach Maresca, yes maybe Jackson will shine more with Maresca.

Well I think I will disagree with tedd being a impatient man, I mean did you miss the previous Chelsea owner @abramovich, that man would have fired and even hired more than 3 coaches last season alone due to the poor performance that Chelsea started up with as the season kicked off. But for the case of Jackson, he just needs to up his game and make huge improvement so he can get a chance to play under the new management.
117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling bad to the society? on: June 13, 2024, 11:01:31 PM
I completely would agree with you, gambling is not bad for the society, already many sees it as a fun fact to engage in but yet their are those who also abuse it by making it their source of income or getting addicted that ends up draining every penny they have, some might even end up selling off their properties while some will also take loans just to quench their taste for gambling and this has brought about the bad opposition from the society.

Since there are people who do everything that you said then gambling might be bad for the society because all this things are not good for the progress of the society. There are many people abusing gambling and this is not good because this are still the people that stay in the society and they can make the society not to be safe because after gambling all their money, they might end up going to steal and make their society not to be safe which will make investors to stay away from the society because they know that their business will not make sales in a society that is not peaceful and full of crimes. Gambling has alot of negative effects on the society because gambling does more harm to the people gambling tham it will help them as alot of people are only gambling because they want to make money.
There are no good without evil. Everything to do has the positive and negative side of it and it depends on us to choose a side. Gambling cannot be completely bad to the society since there are no literal effect of it. It is the people who gamble that choose to allow it affect them due to there bad habits in gambling. Once the addiction increases and they become irresponsible gamblers that's when their response to things start affecting them and there loved ones including there families.

for me it's because of the bad habits towards it that's why they think it's bad to the society, those set of people who get addicted are the ones which the society give examples of. Gambling have good and bad side but if you look at the bad side you'll think it's not helping in the society, but if you look at the good side then you'll know that gambling is really helping in the society so their is nothing that doesn't have an effect. But you only you chose to know your limits and know the good side of it, that's all about it.
Actually well said my friend and infact it's just that even as people still complain about gambling having a two sided face as humans the negative side will always be the one reflecting more because we are prone to always promoting or getting the best side out of the negative than the positive and that's why no matter how people complain or advice on how gambling can you easily addicted and the ways to go about it so that you won't fall under that group, many people will still fall victim of that side advice and that's just what holds the faith of gambling being seen as negative to the society.

Have you forgotten that Liverpool did not participate in the Champions League this year?  Wink
A place is not guaranteed to anyone, if we were confident in Liverpool it would be an easy +53% per annum. By the way, a change of coach is a very serious factor that can strengthen the team or, on the contrary, weaken it. If I had made an outright bet, I would have chosen a different outcome.

Yeah Liverpool only play in the Europa League because they finished in 5th place last season and that was their worst achievement in the previous 5 seasons, now Liverpool must start everything with a new method and strategy as you said the impact could be better or vice versa. Apart from that, several of Liverpool's mainstay players are heading towards retirement meaning this situation is really not easy and honestly I don't expect more from their performance with a new coach at least in the first season.

Yes, Liverpool’s prospects are vague, but regarding getting into the Champions League there is also a positive option: if England can surpass either Italy or Germany in the UEFA rankings, then there will be 5 spots for EPL. But in any case, restructuring in Liverpool is overdue and it’s good if it takes a couple of seasons. By the way, it will be interesting if City is thrown out of the Premier League, and Liverpool is feverishly rushing to be able to compete with Arsenal... such a season would be interesting to watch.
Well we can only imagine that season to come but it's definitely going to be hard because with pep guadiola still the manager of city it's definitely going to take a very long time before we can even get to see something like that become the era of the day. As it stands now, the premier league is purely fixated in the hands of Manchester city and maybe arsenal because they are the only ones who seems to actually give city a run for the league title.
