I don't think that anybody will want to bet to loose, and when you think that your favorite team don't stand a chance in a game with a team that you think is better, then you go ahead and bet against your team. This doesn't mean that you don't love your team or you're not going to continue to support them but when it comes to placing your money, you don't let your emotions to cloud your judgement.

If you're an employee of a club, I don't think that will compel you to support every match that they play, except you're in the executive that buys players. Although it wouldn't be proper to anounce this to people, you can just discreetly place your bets without raising any dust, when you're betting against a team that you work for. But if there's a rule that employees should not bet against the club, then employees should respect the terms and conditions of the club.

I however agree with the OP that it is not wise to anounce your financial matters on social media or telling just anybody what your worth.

No experienced Bitcoin hodler will contemplate selling their Bitcoin, because of price dip, we all know that it's a store of value, an asset that is worth holding as long as it takes, because the value will continue to increase over time. Only newbies, because they lack experience will panic and sale because of price dip, this is why it's very important to gather Bitcoin, knowledge before investing in it, to avoid unnecessary panic and tension when they start to notice the amount of Bitcoin, in their wallet starting to diminish.

Taking profits sometimes should be a personal decision, I personally don't mind taking some profits during the peak of bull run, I think that it's ok to reward yourself by taking something from your ROI. I know that gambling is forbidden in Islam, I doubt that it's specifically written anywhere in the bible that christians should not gamble, although I've heard some overzealous preaches condemning gambling as a sin. I don't really know about the stance of other religions regarding gambling, so I think that it's mainly Islam that is very vocal about forbidden gambling.

I think that the way majority of people view gambling is based on their personal decisions, not religious believes, therefore it's their choices whether it's morally suitable for them or not. You will see people who don't belong to any religion condemn gambling, due to various reasons like gamblers are financially irresponsible, while others sees it as a normal game that people engage in, where you'll meet responsible and addicted gamblers. So gambling is more of a choice than believes.

I think that it is hypocrisy on the part of casino owners not to allow someone on a winning streak to continue gambling, but it's ok to allow a serial loser to continue gambling. This goes to show that they're not happy when their customers are constantly winning their bets and keeps coming back to win more, I guess they're just like other shrewd business owners who likes to collect from others and feels bad when they have to give out. From my experience in business, I know that taking a loan to start up a new business is never a good option, and no bank or business minded individuals can give you money to start a business from scratch. It is either family and friends or people/NGOs that don't care about getting their money back, that can give money for a new startup. A new business should start first and know the demand for their products, only take a loan to increase stock on the areas that will sale fast,  so you can repay from your profit.

I support starting small and gradually begin to grow the business, although lack of funds can cripple a business before it picks up. So getting an investor is a good option in a startup business, so that the owner and investor will share in the profit and lose of the business, it's better to share profit with an investor, who will also bear loses with you, if it happens.

It's said that if you fail to plan then you plan to fail, it's that simple, so whatever anybody plans to achieve positive results, they need to first understand how it works, otherwise they have planned their failure.

Crypto trading is hard and risky, a newbie needs to learn about fundamentals and technical analysis before they can understand how trading works, even at that loses still occurs, so people should stop thinking that crypto trading is a get rich quick scheme. I've heard of people who will hear about a hyped project on social media, and without knowing how to carry out research or getting information from experienced crypto investors, they go ahead and invest in a scam project.

I can not hit on you for sharing about the advantages of Bitcoin investment with your friends, these are your childhood friends and you've known them since your school days, so it's safe to discuss about Bitcoin with them. If it were a random forum where the common interests of the community is not crypto or finance based, then there'll be no need to bring up Bitcoin discussions there.

Personally I only discuss about Bitcoin with people whom I know that they're into cryptocurrency businesses, and I can only discuss it with someone that is not into crypto, only if I see a genuine interest from them to invest in a business that will give them genuine ROI. This decision is based on my experiences in the past when I adopted Bitcoin newly, there was no interest from most of my friends that I tried to tell about Bitcoin, and many among the friends thought that I wanted to scam them.

Experience is the best teacher, so making mistakes is part of learning new things to become better, and if someone is afraid of making mistakes it might be difficult for the person to make progress in life. It is ok to make mistakes in our gambling experiences, but it's not good to repeat a mistake over again, it's better to learn from it and move on, otherwise it becomes addiction which is not good for any gambler.

Newbies should not totally rely on this forum to learn about cryptocurrency, they should carry out research on different areas of crypto, then they can come here and either share their experience with experienced members for better clarity or ask questions on areas where they don't understand. I doubt that creating new child boards will help newbies better, we have enough materials and great minds to direct serious newbies.

Loses can occur in gambling, whether the gambler is greedy or not, we should understand that the higher the amount that is used to gamble, the higher the risk and if the gambler wins, the the higher the amount. People can bet with a small amount of money, meaning that they're not greedy, yet they can lose their bet, so being greedy or not doesn't really matter to me, because gambling is mostly about luck.

It is true that people should check the background of the individuals that they put in sensitive financial positions, so that they will not tamper with the money that is entrusted in their care. But this can be misleading because people can change after they get into a position of authority, like the guy in the OP, I'm sure that if they had known that he will tamper with the funds that is kept in his care, he wouldn't have been in that position and to gamble with the money that is not his.
