Where can I go to find the mining pool?
You don't need to use a pool - solo mining works fine - see above for directions.

A while ago we mentioned how to use the donations from mining. You'll recall that it is hardwired that 45% of the coinbase goes to addresses which are currently handled by Education in a Suitcase (a non-profit dedicated to improving education in low-income regions). This is now over 1 bn SMLY. The amount has not been touched and will not be touched unless the price of SMLY goes up considerably. We need to discuss how best to use this. EIAS does need to support a few things: - Its own work, i.e. tablets, servers etc for schools in Kenya
- Wallet development (no formal funds for this yet)
- tutor-web development (esp Kenya-specific curriculum)
- ...
It makes no sense to start selling SMLY unless the price goes up a lot and the volume allows selling. That's not happening now. I propose that we select a number of large non-profit organisations such as the Malala Fund and get them to help us in getting more donors and investors - in return for a chunk of the SMLY donations (and a promise not to just dump it). We've talked about the Malala Fund before and as I recall we got only positive comments. Other options would be UNICEF. Comments?

More on this: We should also discuss the following idea regarding the SMLY premine: Rather than keep the premine hidden away in cold storage we could set up a formal board of trustees (for lack of a better term) with access to a multisig address where the premine is stored. So we would view the remainder of the premine as a fund to be used for a specific purpose. A majority signature would be required to send SMLY from the fund.
The fund would still have pretty much the same functions as the present premine, i.e. support the tutor-web with an option to occasionally fund R&D projects. We should use the opportunity to spell out exactly these functions, e.g. with a percentage split into each category. We should also spell out exactly the maximum amount spendable per year.
Make it so. We'll try -- just need to set up a formal board. More later. This was well received by the SMLY community so we moved forward on it and we now have almost everything in place: There will be a multisig address containing the remainder of the premine (about 15 bn SMLY). The result will be called the Smileycoin Fund. A Board will be formally set up, with a very formal mandate. A transfers from the multisig address will only be in response to applications sent to the Board. Each transfer (grant) from the Smileycoin Fund needs to be signed (multisig) by two members of the 4-member Board. Until now, most of the SMLY from the premine have been sent to the tutor-web wallet, where students can earn SMLY by studying. But in principle there is no reason to limit this to the tutor-web, so the new mandate will in principle allow the Board to accept applications from other freely accessible educational platforms. In addition, occasionally some SMLY have been transferred from the premine to special projects which support SMLY in some way. This will now be permitted to be up to 25% of the total grants each year. The mandate has been read through by legal experts and proposed Board members have agreed in principle. What remains is to to some final checks on the multisig methodology, verify that we've got everything right and then sign the mandate, both on paper and digitally. The Board members will be representatives of - University of Iceland, rector's office
- Education in a Suitcase
- Shuttle Thread Ltd
- African Maths Initiative

Seems like your wallet has a problem. Take these two: 2018-11-13 00:26:25 CheckBlock() : prev block not found for 90948fd1daa35fd61915ff06f20c48c1f1cc807ab14a5b65aa5debf927858e9f. Ignoring... 2018-11-13 00:26:25 ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK 0, prev=41afbbf0e73cb780aaa6348879ecd10e05e240bd1f0ff1c710f65822d80049b4
These blocks are fine according to the block explorer but your wallet does not agree. - Make sure your wallet is up-to-date (recent version)
- You need to restart the wallet
- You may need to re-sync to the chain
- You may need to rebuild the entire blocks database
Windows 7
I don't know anything about Windows Under Linux you would go through and try the following ways to start the server (wallet), possibly looping through them... - stop the wallet
- restart wallet -- if this works, stop and be happy
- stop the wallet
- take a backup copy of wallet.dat!!!
- smileycoind --server --reindex
You could try adding specific nodes to the configuration file, smileycoin.conf: - addnode=130.208.71.203
- addnode=217.175.119.126
- and then restart, maybe reindex, etc Finally, only if nothing else works... - , delete all the block-files, blk00*.dat and repeat --make sure you have a backup of wallet.dat - or just the entire smileycoin folder!!!

I have 3998970.679 smily and I'm confused to fill out this 2 box It looks like I need to put my amount in the first box but I have no a dear what the second box do The second box looks like dropbox but nothing happened. What is this second box asking about? And it is saying Please choose a lower fee. It sounds like it is to big amount but it is less than 1 million smilycoin Or are you saying that this amount is low to transfer to novaexchange If it says lower fee then you put in a high fee - or didn't have enough for the fee. Just put in an amount to send, which is 1 SMLY lower than the total. You need to read the text in every screen...it will tell you exactly what the full transaction costs you!!
|
|
|
It says that you don't have enough SMLY.
Did you account for the transaction fer?
The latter says that you don't have any. Have you checked the blockchain explorer?

This sounds like the perfect scam...posted by a newbie... On Friday September 21st, CryptoHub was supposedly subject of a hacker attack. Their exchange was shut down for that reason. Their official statement said that Waves tokens were not affected by this attack (Bycom is included there), but that other kind of assets were and for that reason they are going to reimburse users with the 72% of their holdings converted to BTC. We, as Bycom, have many questions. We, as Bycom, don’t approve that approach, since it makes users carry with the loss product of their (lack) of security measures. Join us on our vision to combat scams. If you have been affected by the closure of CryptoHub, please fill this form in. We will be glad to welcome you on the Bycom Community giving you the first 50K Bycom tokens if you qualify: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf7nYZQiiUgBJNdxMJLUPqUnkO5TvNu_JwtvwSIKRweUB9AmA/viewform- If the link doesn't work, please check our Twitter profile to see it. You must complete this steps:1) Fill this form 2) Follow Bycom official account on Twitter: https://twitter.com/bycom_official3) RT the pinned tweet about this program 4) Join our Official Telegram Room: https://t.me/bycom_officialAdditional information: - Who recovers 100% is not considered affected. - We have allocated 500 Million Bycom for this action. Once those 500 Million are reached, we will stop accepting new forms. - Once the program is completed, all the information received, i.e. email addresses, wallet addresses and all personal data will be destroyed. Goals of this action: - Encourage Cryptohub's buyout by giving support to it. - Give the Cryptohub community some compensation for their losses. By Community. ByCOM.

A new version of the wallet is now available on github.
Please let us know of any problems.
This mainly has some bug fixes and the first step towards being able to use atomic swaps involving the SMLY. The difficulty changes have been programmed but are set to occur roughly in June of next year. We're not quite ready for them yet. On Ubuntu, just move your old source directory out of the way and compile a new one from scratch: git clone http://github.com/tutor-web/smileyCoincd smileyCoin./autogen.sh./configuremakeIf you're setting this up on a raspberry pi, you'll need a few more lines, but it should still work. If you can compile and test on windows or a mac, please try and let us know how that goes.

Just to let you know: this is now ongoing and will happen since everyone agrees. Just taking a bit longer than we'd like. We should also discuss the following idea regarding the SMLY premine: Rather than keep the premine hidden away in cold storage we could set up a formal board of trustees (for lack of a better term) with access to a multisig address where the premine is stored. On exchanges again re exchanges:
The current price of SMLY is well below 1 Satoshi. This implies that a BTC-based market is not suitable for SMLY. We need SMLY-DOGE or SMLY-LTC markets.
You must have noticed the problems at tradesatoshi -- they've had to deal with a barrage of DDOS attacks recently. As a result they have stopped much of their trading, including any SMLY trading.
Further, novaexchange is still not up to speed. There is no deposit option for most of their coins. You can still buy SMLY there, but the spread is wide and the amount available is low.
Finally, cryptohub has no option for DOGE or LTC basemarkets.
That leaves SouthXchange who have just added SMLY to their LTC basemarket!!
You should expect SouthXchange to become the main exchange for SMLY until novaexchange and tradesatoshi get up to speed again.
Most trading currently occurs on the SouthXchange SMLY-LTC market. Tradesatoshi has just re-opened for SMLY trading but seem to be under continuous DDOS attacks. Novaexchange is in the phase of reopening for deposits, but it's taking a bit long. Cryptohub really only has the SMLY-BTC market which is not much use when the price is as low as it is now.

And a quick warning: Ongoing stuff: - adding the opcodes needed for atomic swaps
- html5 wallet
- new coin explorer
- re-implement testnet
- several bug-corrections
the opcodes and the bug-corrections mean that you will need to update your wallets! Watch this space for information - we're not quite there yet. Testing should be complete in 1-2 weeks.
